if you only need to install, reinstall or repair your some application, then you only have to extract it, copy it to sd card and install it as a normally .apk. but if it a system apk, you have to push it by using an explorer that can access system file, e.g Root Explorer.
I guess it's not a flashable zip. it's a firmware with .ftf extention inside the .rar.
so you can't install it by CWM, you have to flash it by flashtool. CMIIW
erm..i dnt know..but i couldn't find any .tft file inside..lots of folder..bt sure is,thr lots of .apk files too..
so..how??=.=
wait a minute, I'm downloading it to see the file.

those were system files from your phone that have been extracted from ICS rom...what you see in the system files is the same as in your phone...those system files is good backup in case you decided to remove/edit any system files (bloatware)....
those system files is not for normal install...you have to use Root Explorer to copy and paste it to your phone system files if you want get back the files you have remove before this....
remember you need to change permission for those files (rw-r-r)....

agree with this...
just like I posted above, you have to push it manually to /system/app .
Hello,
For a while now I have not have acess to editors choice apps nor top apps. Here is the fix.
1. Place the zip file at this link into the Main storage of device.
2. Take a look into the ROM zip file you flashed earlier or you are using ( system/app) and delete phonesky.apk and marketupdater.apk or vending.apk
( please make sure you have a separate saved ROM zip file bfore editing. just a precaution).
3.place the phonesky.apk in the zip file above or at the link ( system/app to get, to phonesky.apk) into the ROM zip file you are using.
4.Boot into CWM and Reflash ROM zip file. reboot device.
5.Boot into CWM and flash the zip file in the link above.
6. You are done. you should see the image attached to the thread, that's the full gplay look.
Please enjoy.
Thanks

Simple.
Just open the zip file you flashed and see what all files it installed (or changed). Delete the corresponding installed files from your system folder using a Root Explorer (or move them away). If files have been modified, you will have to get the stock versions of those files (extract from stock ROM). :good:
Sometimes, mods that are flashed contains scripts that backup system files before modifying them. In such cases, its easy to restore the previous files.
As I promised...this is the link for stock systemUI
https://www.dropbox.com/s/zinu7eheugac2fz/SystemUI.apk?dl=0
For installing this apk use a root explorer to find system/app ...then put inside it app folder n restart the system...that's it...
And this is for kernel
https://www.dropbox.com/s/gmasdzcnz7ixt7f/boot.img?dl=0
But the kernel is .img format...i did not convert it to .zip..i take this file from my backup..so whom wanted to flash it...just keep the boot.img inside the backup folder n flash it....enjoy
thanks
Hi, I really am a SuperBaka (a Super idiot :crying: )
I tried to install Gapps to my new Asus Zenphone 5 (A500KL) by this method :
Which is:
1.Root your phone
2.Install Root Explorer
3.Unzip Gapps and Copy SYSTEM Folder to Internal memory
4.With Root Explorer paste SYSTEM Folder over original SYSTEM folder
5.Reboot
I followed each step, until the 4. But unfortunately, instead of copying, I erased accidently my original System folder by coping into Internal memory.
After that, all the apps closed and since that when i turn ON my phone, I only can see the Asus logo...
Please help me to reinstall Android, I have this phone since only 2 days... I really don't know what to do and i panic beacause i don't have any warranty (bought on To2c.com)
PS: Sorry for my english, i am french (tell me if you didnt understand something)
PS2: It was on Android 4.4.2 Kit kat version
UP
Please Help me
Your only option now is to find a way to place /system back into your phone, which will require a custom recovery.
