[TOOL] CSC Changer + Refurbishment Check - Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps

Hi, I'd like to introduce the tool: Refurbishment Check. It's used to check if a phone is a refurbished one.
It also show the 'Device usage counter': 'Headset connect', 'Charger connect' and 'S Pen detach' counters
Please be noted that 'Charger connect' and 'S Pen detach' counters require root permission to be read. And 'S Pen detach' counter is available for Galaxy Note series only.

Kindly do not spam the thread please. You already started a thread on this topic in our Note2 section and now this is the second (which is exactly the same). I just saw it on playstore and its the same tool. There's only an update. You could have updated your first thread itself.
Also I saw this thread in Note3 and few more forums which are all copy paste. So carry on with one thread itself rather than spamming. No offense, infact its a nice tool.
---------- Post added at 08:13 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 AM ----------
These are all threads on same topic! I just have few links but there are plenty of more. 6-7 threads are already locked by mods which I didn't posted the link yet. Overall there are 12-13 threads on same topic!

Sorry about that, I just want to let people know about the brand new feature 'Refurbishment Check', and also the 'Device usage counter'. Because the old thread has been closed so I can not update on that thread.
I have integrated all of them in one app, but in fact they are the new features.
Again sorry if this causes inconvenience to you.

I don't have any inconvenience with you or your tool. Infact I rated it 5 stars in Playstore with a good review.
The only reason I was bit annoyed was because of multiple threads on same topic, same app and on several forums. Yoy started it on SII, SIII, SIV , Note2, Note3 and many other forums. Not only on this, you even started it on variant models forum too! You should have started one thread and maintained it with updates and new features.
And the reason your threads were closed was because of this reason only, spamming. So now tie with this thread only and keep updating it with future updates. Other than that, its very useful app.

You are right Thanks for taking your time to point out the details.
I will tie with this thread once it will not be closed again

- Requirements: Rooted device + Multi-CSC firmware + Stock Recovery.

Update v1.7.2:

Use this tool to check the IMEI for the validity by calculating the Check Digit.
(enter the Menu --> select 'IMEI Analyzer')

That's nice. You are now updating the thread instead of creating new. This app is getting better day by day and it's very useful too.
Keep it up..

Update v1.7.3:
Improve the 'CSC Changer' tool.
- Better compatibility, now it may work on SOME older devices without root.
- Add the list of 'Available CSC codes' to the warning screen, so users can know the available CSC in the firmware before launching the CSC Selector.

'CSC Changer' screenshots

Update v1.7.5: Add 'USAGE HISTORY' (usage counters) to the main screen.
- Headset Connect Counter
- Charger Connect Counter
- S Pen Detach Counter
Please be noted that the latter 2 counters require Root to be read.

Did you flash any custom rom?
These counters are stored in the efs partition and can be changed/modified while flashing some rom.
However Factory Reset the phone will NOT reset these counters.

I have stock rom and didn't flashed anything else.

Oh sorry, I don't know what happened with it. On most phones it works as it is.
Anyway, you can test if it works by plugging the charger and see if the counter increases by one?
You can do the same test for the Headset connect counter and S Pen detach counter.
Thanks.

v1.8.0:
Add 'Firmware Browser...' menu:
- Browse for the stock firmwares available online, for your phone and for any other Samsung model.
- View firmware's details, and redirect to the SamMobile.com website for the download link.

edit: he says not to duplicate his install instructions, but he is okay with sharing. so i guess i'll just share and help with questions.
Its not so much that but by going to the original thread it ensures the user gets the most up to date script. The how to is an excellent idea but some of your steps conflict his steps
Another note....#5 suggests we get a paid app via warez....that I know is against the rules you might remove that

Hi,
Since RC7 does not work.
What version should be used?
V6_SuperCharger_for_Android-Update9_RC6.9.sh.pdf ?
Thanks
Is anyone else really confused about the options in the script and what each one brings? I'm sitting looking at a menu, unsure what to pick :/

What's wrong with RC7? I installed it successfully on my phone, and it runs. Can't tell much of a difference though.
Is there something specific installation error that you are running into, or do you have a way to check if the script is running correctly? If I try to run /data/99Supercharger.sh again, it tells me the my phone is already supercharged and to verify that "Ran_Supercharger" exists in /data, which it does.
After installing Balance 3, I see no difference in the Go Launcher. LauncherPro is better than ever, and my battery life is now really good.
So... it sort of worked.

hey guys,
well i'm just trying to help galaxy note users out (apparently a lot of you are new to this scripting thing).
what personally works for me i recommend. That would be option 13 (bulletproof launcher) and also 768+hp settings.

I got the latest script to run on my Note, on stock.
I seen no difference at all.
I'm throwing SauROM on it tonight, because I am having other issues too that the rom should fix, I hope. Citrix wants to auto delete the first thing it sees in Active Directory. I don't think my work would appreciate me if I deleted the entire Servers column in AD.
I would love to install this. But.your instructions differ greatly..you suggest a busting install along withal file explorer install.. He suggests script manager.
And there is some question as to which pdt we should be using.
I have a seperate thread with his install instructions linked. I referenced file explorer because i didn't realize u could mount rw. If your THAT confused u should probably not install it.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
In not confused. To the contrary, i understand almost wholly. But what isnt clear, is whether his instructions are sufficient or that they work with out note.
Its not clear which version of the script we need...or which set of instructions we should use.
Listing a set of instructions in a note specific forum (ones that differ from those elsewhere) implies that the others wont work on our device....or that something could be easier or go wrong.
Thank you for pointig the supercharger mod out. I was unaware of it. With that said, id still like to install it.
Which PDF do we use?

i got u completely - i just listed my walkthrough because some people truly need step by step instructions lol. but the DEV's instructions are plenty IMO
my thread was designed to link instuctions for setup and also discuss which scripts are working for the Gnote (case and point, my experience with update 9RC7 which isn't working for me, but does for another user). for me update 9rc6 works fine.... i would try RC7 too - lot of nice features

IN GoLauncher ---> make sure you set icons to "Default Size" because using LARGE or CUSTOM is one of the main Culprits to lag.... also get the 2.85 version
I have no lag.
Anyone tried this on the ICS leak builds?
Super charger us the best mod to improve speeded etc. however this is my second phone that after super charging my phone doesn't shut down all the way. If i power off then plug it in., it reboots. Also wifi constantly looses data connection. Both issues are related to one of the supercharger tweaks just not sure which one is causing it. Maybe home bullet proof.

Kit Kat Update for Indian version Lenovo P780

Lenovo P780 and Kit Kat 4.4.2 – Complete Installation and Root Tutorial with download links -
i have written a nice article with proper download links to manually update your Lenovo P780 to Kit Kat. Head over to the link at bottom and taste your piece of Kit Kat !!
Pre Requisites – very important if you are a noob !:
Lenovo P780 4GB or 8 GB version. works for both.
Phone needs to be updated to S_124_ROW firmware. The update to Kit Kat will never succeed if you are any thing below S_124_ROW firmware. Check your phone settings and search for update manually if you still haven’t received it. I got OTA updated.
At least 25% battery charge. You don’t want a brick then ensure you have at least 25% charge on the battery before you start flashing.
External Memory Card. The internal memory will be wiped off. Talking of wipe please backup all your data on the internal phone storage as this will be washed away.
Little patience !
What is good about this :
So far everything works fine. LED works for missed calls and SMS
Battery Life is amazing. It took me 2 full days to drain from 100% to 10% with moderate usage. Always connected to Wifi.
Felt a little lag in UI if using stock vibe UI, changed to Nova launcher for butter smooth operations
All Sensors work. Magnetic sensor too.
What is bad about this :
You tube playback. Sometimes the video and audio is out of sync. However if you play it via browser every things cool.
Head over to this link for full tutorial and download links : On request by lot of members i have removed the social lock from page. The page can now be accessed directly.
http://studioscue.com/lenovo-p780-8gb-indian-version-kitkat-4-4-2-installtion-and-rooting/
Got updated to S221_ROW - Here is my observation after using it for 2 full days. -
1. After switching the run time to ART, Phone is much smoother to operate.
2. Battery Back up seems to have increased marginally.
3. Huge improvement in camera section. Macro shots are really awesome.
4. Over all there seems to be a lot of improvement in responsiveness.
5. Higher frame rates in games.
6. In short a great package. Must do it now !!
Got updated to S222_ROW - Here is my first observation after using it for two days (21-Aug-2014) -
1. You tube audio sync issues finally seem to be resolved. Yeiahhhhhhhhhhhh !!
2. Excellent memory optimization. Free available RAM moves up to 500MB
3. Batter endurance good enough.
4. ART run time further improved.
5. Rooting is a hard but this time. You need to use older version of SP flash tools with self made scatter file from MTK droid tool.
6. Removed Lenovo camera. Crap software with lot of footprint here and there. Instead using Camera HD ultra from playstore. great camera package with minimal features and memory footprints.
7. Over all an excellent update package. Recommended for all. :good::good:
Got updated to S223_ROW - What's New and improved (9-September-2014) -
1. User 0 thing in the notification bar is gone.
2. More responsive.
3. Battery endurance just about same.
4. If you find your phone lagging or slow to launch frequently used apps, i suggest go to power manager and disable smart endurance. Doesn't make a lot of difference to Battery backup but does make the phone significantly faster to launch frequent apps.
5. Rooting done via scatter file loaded from S222_ROW and latest version of SP flash tools. Compatible version is TWRP 2.7.1.1
6. I already have removed all the bloatware from phone including Lenovo Camera. Using Nexus Gallery and Camera HD ultra.
7. Much better performance with ART set as runtime in dev options.
Got updated to S226_ROW - What's New and improved (26-September-2014) -
1. UI is now based on Vibe UI 2.0 which is lenovo's answer to MIUI.
2. Although the UI is based in Vibe there is no visual change in how the phone interface looks like.
3. Major improvement in Camera section. Camera can now lock focus even in pitch black darkness.
4. Smoother UI with almost zero lags under normal operation. You might find a little lag while browsing system properties and running apps.
5. Rooting done via scatter file loaded from S226_ROW and latest version of SP flash tools. Compatible version is TWRP 2.7.1.1
6. Battery endurance increased. Make sure you calibrate battery using the built in power manager.
7. You Tube works fine.
8. Also please go to Google Settings and opt out of advertisement section, this will free up a lot of RAM.
9. With all basic apps installed and phone in ready to use condition, i have around 450MB of free RAM. Check the screenshot
why does the link go to the Russian version? the thread states that it's the Indian row version. is this release stable? can it be ota updated?

Lenovo P780 and Kit Kat 4.4.2 – Complete Tutorial
Many a times i have noticed that even though we Indians are amongst the best Information Technology professionals in the world, almost every other company seems to be launching their products in India only after its quite dated in European and American countries. This really pisses me up and i strongly feel like we Indians too deserve nothing but the best of all and that too on time. Official updates for Lenovo P780 to Kit kat could take another year or may never come as well. I suggest you reflash s_119_row via so flash tool. Then check for Ota updates and update to s_123 then again check for Ota updated and update to s_124. Once that's done you simply need to copy the downloaded kitkat update to root of SD card and reboot the phone to recovery. It will update automatically. Let us know how it works.

So what's the verdict on Kit Kat guys? All good? Everything working fine? Is the LED finally fixed so it works for WhatsApp and Email? The Russian forums say there is an issue with the camera and a fix is expected in the next week or two.

Cm13 Only kenzo unofficial 20162406 is working properly

Hello every one.
Quite new to this sport I have flashed a few phones before but without knowing what I'm doing, just following instructions..
I have the redmi note 3 pro(great phone! ) which I have unlock bootloader and install TWRP and CM13 and I was very happy with it..
Later I realized that only the cm-13.0-20160624-UNOFFICIAL-kenzo.zip is working properly(after installing qapps of course)
The cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J4-kenzo.zip which is the latest stable is having various issues: The hall sensor isn't
working so if I close the lid on the case ,does nothing, but the most importand is this one:
It reboots every time I try to unistall an application!
Doesn't matter if I try to do that in applications or with a separate one it always does that..
So I looked inside the zips and they are quite different and with different size too..
I will include a screenshot so you can help me out.
Thank you very much.
Since I can't post external links can you tell me how to add pictures?
I cant find an "attachment" button..

To attach an image on the standard website in the reply box, click the button that looks like the gallery icon (mountains with a sun) above the text input. In response to your queries, the snapshots are NOT STABLES. They are nightlies that were automatically added as snapshots by Cyanogenmod. It is highly recommended you stay on the latest nightly builds and follow the official CM thread for discussion in relation to bugs.

Hello,thank you for your answer.
I have tried that but it just asks for a URL to an image not to upload one..Since I am new member system doesn't allow me to do that..
Finally I figure it out:I was onn the wrong firmware(the one included in the unofficial kenzo rom) and it was giving me all kind of strange errors and reboots..
As soon as I installed the right one everything came back to normal..

.att debloat xml package disabler with download NO ROOT

I was able to make an att debloat file for package disabler pro. Every time I would look on the forums for a recent xml file i would only find files to disabke verizon, sprint and tmobile bloat so i decided to fix the problem myself. this works on the s7 and s7 edge on att, keep in mind some things won't be disabled if you are on marshmallow because some packages were removed with the nougat update and i don't want to downgrade right now so you may have to find those yourselves. one more thing if you have overheating and battery drain issues before doing this, disabling the packages fixed those issues on my phone hopefully it fixes yours of you had a problem with it. I will have to post the package names in a reply to the post because it won't post if I dont also don't forget to re enable things that you actually use. here are two ways of doing this
Purchase and install package disabler pro, once downloaded open app and look for import xml then look for the att debloat file you downloaded and then when it's finished it would be best to reboot and go back into the app to make sure it's running and you're done

I've seen people post screen shots of their package disabler screens with checkmarks on bloat ware but I haven't seen an uploaded xml file for the s7 on att running Android 7 but it really does work. Don't forget to disable any bloat ware I might of missed also feel free to re enable packages you still want

I just gave it a shot. I ran the script and wiped my cache. I'll see how it goes for the next couple of days.
Edit: one artifact I've noticed on nougat is the boot screen is it says I'm on a custom firmware.

I will have to post the package names in a reply to the post because it won't post if I dont also don't forget to re enable things that you actually use

Pardon my ignorance but what is the recommended way to run this file?

It's best if you download a Samsung package disabler app from the play Store but you have to buy it I'll include instructions soon I have to do some more testing

I ran the script using PDP, rebooted into recovery, wiped the cache, then rebooted. It hasn't happened since that first boot, and Knox hasn't been tripped.

[MOD] [NO ROOT/ROOT] Simple, fast and efficient debloating.

Intro:
I tried using MIUI a lot of time before and always found it so full of apps.
So I searched around xda and compiled a list with packages to remove, which I consider was great because it was a fast and easy way to clean my device.
In the end I thought of sharing it with you, because why not? (xda is all about mods and sharing them right?)
Without further ado:
Instructions:
1) Download the file attached to this post and open it with any text viewer, I recommend notepad++.
2) Open a cmd or powershell window,
3) Run
adb shell (or .\adb shell if powershell)
su (optional depending if you have root)
4) Copy and paste the whole list into the open adb window.
P.S. AND WARNING:
You should really check what you're getting rid of, I suggest Googling every package you are not familiar with.
Also since this is a simple text file you can delete or add packages to adjust to your personal needs, I'm just dropping this as a personal template to make it easy and fast for you to debloat your device.
This is made with the Xiaomi Mi 8 in mind running MIUI, but can work on other brands and devices.
If a packeage trying to uninstall isn't there it'll just skip it and move on, so it's safe to use on any device, just not as effective.
(also of course like with any mod I won't be held responsible for any damage or misfunction that occurs, you're doing this on your own will and your own risk.)
With that being said, cheers, enjoy!
The instructions are inside the text file as well for offline usage.

Huge thanks and a big shout out to @Agimax @biggary @RedSkull23 @didgerid00 for providing a lot of info for me to compile my personal list. :highfive:

Glad to see that my work (among the work of others bloat-listing volunteers) is useful mate! :highfive:
The devices we own must be kept clean (and custom ROMs and GSIes help a lot here luckily) so let's keep us updated about new bloats

No, OTA works and the uninstalled Apps are not there again after update

Made some cleaning:
-double checked what is needed and what is not
-removed duplicate lines
-sorted alphabetically for convenience
Enjoy.

Other than the fact that you'll lose mi clouds functionality, it should be possible and most likely safe.

I can say the same you said . Every rom/ custom rom should have only basic apps like telephone , messages , camera , settings , and one or two apps more . Others one user should install what he needs .
is it safe to delete all of the things in the list?
LITE Vesion available.
A friend of mine suggested some of the features that got removed could be useful (for some that is) and asked me to make a lite version of the tweak, so yeah, I made one for him and I'm posting it here as well.
Enjoy.
