So I particularly like the vibration on key press and noticed that sometimes it disappears from my phone. The only way to get it to vibrate again is to smack the screen in my palm. Any guesses on what's wrong as smacking it in my palm is bound to destroy something at some point. Thanks.

Just got my phone a few hours ago. Mine does the same thing.

Running 2.17.651.5 and when I hit the switch cameras button it flips the image upside down and in horizontal mode it reverses it... Just curious... Not a big deal since I am going to root it and dev on these just wondering what might cause it... Gonna try to grab a logcat cause that was amusing when i was playing with it.

Is the phone a re_furb because I have had that problem with my old EVO first gen all it was was the camera was literarily upside down.. It happens sometimes...
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
Nah I don't think so... It's white if that helps
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
So the camera doesn't come up at all. Just goes to white screen? Sounds like what happened to me. Alls the camera is it just sits in a kind of port with contacts on all sides.

Also could be camera display code. Or another thing with hardware is the switch could be in the middle or dirty. Ive had that happen on this phone too...

After root and recovery I've noticed Incoming MMS won't download. Outgoing still works fine. Tried switching back to stock app from Hangouts and still no go. Just sticks at downloading. Any Fixes?
More info needed, stock rom, custom rom etc
I'm having this issue right now and I'm completely stock, using the stock messaging app.

Not getting notifications from incomming sms either.

You both could try recreating the apns and rebooting...possibly something got borked somewhere
I figured out what it was. Under settings>more there is an option to chose your default messaging app. Make sure its set to the stock application and not hangouts.

I have a flyer, was rooted, s on, stock rom. It was working fine, needed charging, it won't charge off a wall charger or when connected to the PC. The led flashes amber for about 5 seconds, then the hboot menu comes on for maybe 2 seconds and then goes off, it's stuck in this loop. It's driving me mad trying to find a solution. Any suggestions please, would appreciate any help. Thanks

what was your battery level last time when the flyer was on

to charge the flyer switch completely off and connect to power source you dont need to turn on for charging.
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
I haven't a clue, it's been sat in the drawer for weeks now since it went like this so I can't remember as its been that long :/ when there is no power source the tablet won't switch on so I think the battery is completely dead.

when you connect the flyer to charger did the orange led lights up if it not lights up immediately wait for 5-10 minutes it will light up
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
Yes it lights up flashing Amber, it's exactly the same as when it's plugged into the PC :/

then the flyer is charging leave it for at least 1 hour charging and after that try to turn on the flyer it will work.

OK I will try it, is it not draining as fast as charging when it's looping at the hboot menu?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
the battery is draining faster in hboot menu because the screen brightness is 100% on

what rom you use gb or hc?
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
I think it's hc, I never managed to flash a custom rom so it's still on stock hc
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes straight into hboot, I can go into fastboot on the tablet but it won't let me select up or down using the volume buttons like its supposed to. It just stays on fastboot for a couple of seconds and then reboots exactly the same again into hboot.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
charge first your flyer at least 80% and after that install the hc stock rom
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
OK thanks but do u know how I can make it stay powered off so it can charge because as it is it won't stay off while there is a power source
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
when flyer is in hboot menu he is not charging the battery,i thought that when the flyer is off and you connect the charger in only the led is turned on not the tab who is going in hboot mode. Then try to power the battery like in the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2490641 you already saw.

or maybe you need to let the battery goes completely discharged the flyer will power off and after that you will connect the flyer to charger without pressing the power key and turning on the flyer.
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e
OK I will try letting it discharge first failing that I will try to power the battery the other way. Thanks for your time and help, I'll keep you posted

And how can i do this? Thanks
The 3rd party apps are not very effective in darkness since they rely on the proximity sensor rather than magnetics. Not to mention battery life will be affected with the proximity sensor working all the time.
Yeah that's true. But Gravity doesn't affect battery too much. You can switch off all the other sensors and only keep the proximity one on for the book cover.
