After root and recovery I've noticed Incoming MMS won't download. Outgoing still works fine. Tried switching back to stock app from Hangouts and still no go. Just sticks at downloading. Any Fixes?
More info needed, stock rom, custom rom etc
I'm having this issue right now and I'm completely stock, using the stock messaging app.

You both could try recreating the apns and rebooting...possibly something got borked somewhere
I figured out what it was. Under settings>more there is an option to chose your default messaging app. Make sure its set to the stock application and not hangouts.

Ever Since I have been using community rom I have not been able to send mms messages, I receive them just fine. It just says sending at the bottom but never sends. I even just had to odin back to dl09 and re update everything to fix an acore process crash. everything works great except mms. Anyone else experiencing this out know a possible solution? Been kicking my self in the teeth these last few weeks trying to trouble shoot this and can't figure it out

Someone had to have at least had the same issue I'm sure right?

MMS doesn't work in the Community Rom, at least not with the included messaging apk.
But in the post for the Comm ROM under patches they have the "Samsung MMS" patch which makes the mms work fine.
At least that was my expierence, it fixed my MMS problems (same as you described).
Awesome, thank you for your insight and response

i just got the evo v for virgin mobile and my question is, is it normal for the texting to be in blocks? on the left it shows all the texts from my recipient and on the right it shows all from me but it doesn't show them in the order the texts were sent and received. all of my texts are at the top of the page and all the received ones are at the bottom. is this normal and is there a way to change that?

Go into your sms app and go to settings/general and make sure the view is set to conversation.

What ROM are you on. You should be able to go to Sense Messaging App and go to settings/general and Turn on Conversation Mode. This is or a Sense ROM.
I'm running the stock Rom but if I can't change I will probably change it.

Hello,
I have jelly bean since morning, but i have some problems:
1. There are continuous problems on synchronisation.
2. I couldn't go in Go sms to read messages - whenever i was selecting a thread the app is force closing. Then i went in my apps to activate the original messages app, but the disable option cannot be selected to bring it back on the phone.
Now i can't read any SMS!
Any solutions for the above?
Thanks

Here is what I did.... If go sms didn't work i used Verizon messaging. But what ever messaging app came with that ROM you want to force stop and disable it. Then it should work. I would suggest re flashing and go from there.

Ok thanks,
But i got the official update, is there a way to force reinstalling it?

Anyone can help please?
Should I clean cache or something similar?

Absolutely no one in here has sync problems after the update?
I don't know what to so to fix this...

Sent from my dlx using xda app-developers app
I'll test it today. Are you seeing the options to set them and they just don't play properly? Also do they play properly when you test them in gosms?

Thanks for confirming this issue. I have way to much music/ringtones/ notifications to mess with that I guess I'll just deal with it. So do you think it's a Rom issue or a go sms issue? Like it's not communicating correctly with 4.2.2

I found that I need Skype audio so I'm back to stock for now. On stock ROM the system ringtpme button pops up asking which ringtone so yes it seems there is an issue there

I have posted this in a couple other forums but no response yet, so hopefully some one see it here.
Does anybody know if the current build og viperDNA will work on a DNA that took the latest Verizon OTA update. It added alkBack, but as most have pointed out it may have been pushed to disable turning S-Off.
Putting ViperDNA on my phone would be my first time rooting or using Custom ROMs so I'm just trying to dot the I' and cross the T's. Can I put ViperDNA on with S-On? If not does Moonshine work to turn it off after the last Verizon update?
Thanks
Moonshine will work on the latest OTA. I did it last week after taking the update weeks ago I used a live Ubuntu USB boot to make it easy and not have driver issues with windows. YMMV as always with anything.

Ok since the update my gf's unrooted DNA will set individual ringtones so it's this port that's breaking it but hopefully team venom can switch the base best Rom none the less

I somehow was screwing around with my messaging on my sprint note 3. The sms/mms message center number got deleted now I keep trying to search and put in numbers. I'm frustrated so I'm asking what is the number that should be there? I think it was +12......then no clue. I can't send any mms because of it. Don't know how else to crrect. I don't want to reinstall. I have my phone running great otherwise.
Sprint message center number=???
Thanks

Are you using a Sprint n3? I don't see that setting.
Yes, Sprint note 3....go to your text message stock app then once you are in, hit menu, then middle tab for sms/mms, then with in that tab down a few is "Message Center" which has a #. This is what I'm seeking instead of using an alternative sms app or reinstalling rom.
I'm running stock rooted deodexed mja

What I showed you is the stock messaging app and there is nothing like that. Your rom doesn't look exactly stock. Don't see that on my s4 either. Weird.
Oh maybe it's a custom note 3 sms mod.
