Yup, but you asked the same question yesterday i believe, and also think two days ago. You need an unlocked bootloader to flash kernels, and there are no ways around that.
Is This Kernel Support init.d?

for now it is impossible for LB, but I used this kernel as a bridge to get root and and then relock BL on my C6802.
yes you must unlock the BL first.

Do you have full root with locked BL?
Locked BL for what i read you need stock kernel too....
I tried but i only have parcial root..
Can't mount system as rw...
Yep, was going to say that reflash of stock kernel ftf removes system write (eg partial root) ~ but as @blueether has "suggested" (either here or another thread) the @[NUT] recovery "may" remount and fix this without need of a modified kernel (I'm not completely sure).

this is what I did:
- flash ftf, (EDIT: in my case I boot the phone to check if ftf flashed successfully, phone boot and and wizard setup running, turning the phone OFF, then unclocked the BL with flashtool
- 'fastboot boot 757.img' (not 'fastboot flash boot', jackies one, with vanilla cwm)
- enter CWM, have to immediately did
- flash supersu.zip
- flash this fix (system r/w mount fix
- flash nut dualrecovery (latest beta 119 will be better)
- restore TA with TWRP from kitkat .681 nandroid (restore only Trim Area)
- done.. reboot, still got full root
^^ good work, and nice link @Lc1975 confirming nut recovery does disable rickill

Done every steps like you told here...
but when i reboot only have red light blinking and vibrate... nothing more...
Maybe because i locked the BL with Backup TA...
had to flash again the ftf...

Sorry to hear that but I don't know whether it is relevant or not.. After flashing full clean ftf (step 1) I boot the phone to check flashtool did the job. It boot and bring to the setup wizard. I turn the phone off and then did second step (unlock with flashtool and then 'fastboot boot 757.img') and so on..

Yeah, that'll happen if you re-lock your bootloader on a custom kernel. It has happened to me a couple of times, and you can solve it by simply unlocking the bootloader again.
^^ to be safe, you can reflash stripped ftf from @[NUT] rom thread to return kernel to stock (instead of relying on a TA backup of what will usually be an old kernel if you're upgrading)

Hi guys!
I know there are fellow impatient D5833 owners out there who are tired of waiting for lollipop and want to try it out already, so I made this ROM. Tried and tested. Please report any bugs.
This is not the official FW from Sony for D5833. I am using the D5803 stock firmware.
Backup! If you want to downgrade back to KitKat you are going to have to do so using Flashtool, you will lose all data.
Do not install on encrypted devices.
Flash this ROM at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage.
Info:
Customized NCB_1288-5411_23.1.A.0.690_R9C
SuperSU-v2.46
AndroPlusKernel v50a
Required:
- Full root on KitKat (Stock - 23.0.A.2.93/23.0.1.A.5.77) with recovery.
- Unlocked bootloader.
Installation:
1. Download zip.
2. Enter recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash zip.
4. Reboot.

1) You should indicate that this is for unlocked bootloader only, not for all.
If you flash this on a locked bootloader, you'll get a blank screen or a bootloop.
2) I guess this should be in development section
3) What about basebands? D5833 works on different LTE frequencies...
Can you add the mods you use

Oops, forgot to mention that. The thread is moved in the correct section, my mistake
Regarding the baseband, I've experience no problems using C Euro/Nordic D5803 basebands on D5833. I could not get 4G on Israel, USA, SA, Turkey. I'm on EE 4G network in United Kingdom. I found that my 4G is faster on this baseband after testing with speedtest

I have backup in the Backup and Restore app and i'm aware i need a locked bootloader to use it though. Can i relocked my bootloader after a successful reboot? Is there any consequence?

Is this the only backup that you have? I'm pretty sure that the Backup and Restore app isn't working because of no DRM keys.
I'd advise you to move that backup data onto your PC, and then try the DRM function restoration by jimRnor
FW android 5 D5833
Hi man, thanks for your effort, I have a D5833.
My device is rooted, locked bootloader (DRM intact) and the 23.0.A.2.106 version, which is the downgrade made in the process (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343).
By the requirements this tutorial would not work on my phone. Is how you do a firmware (D5833) Android 5 pre-rooted?
Hi,
Is it possible to flash this ROM over Cyanogenmod 12?
If not, what steps are necessary to do this? My bootloader is unlocked.
Thanks!

I didn't use that method, I backed up my DRM keys and used http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/to-drm-keys-unlock-bootloader-custom-t3065914 to restore DRM functions. Since this rom has AndroPlus in the zip, relocking the BL is going to result in bootloops

You'll need a full wipe (sys, data, cache, dalvik cache) since you're going back to stock, backup your apps and data and flash the zip from recovery, enjoy!
FW android 5 D5833
What I do not know about is to make the pre-rooted FW, tried and failed. Wanted to put directly the FW Android 5 without going through the final .77, but do not know if this is that there (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343) is the D5833:
26 - Read the information and follow the instructions Given by the tool.
- Install latest firwmare with root, DRM keys, recovery -
Or, for Lollipop - fw 23.1.A.0.690 (Android 5.0 March 2015) at https://mega.co.nz/#!Y8tTQZgQ!yV5L2u...klmMdSl3EZ6t18 then skip directly to step 33.

Well, if I understood your post correctly, the rigtht process to change from CM12 to your Firmware as followed:
1. Download the zip to sdcard0 or sdcard1 (external SD Card)
2. Start in recovery mode ( Cyanogen recovery possible only on CM12)
3. Full wipe (wipe data/factory reset)
4. install downloaded zip (apply update)
Is it right? I´m not shure what you are mean with "since you're going back to stock..."

This is wrong thread for Q&A, but I can enlight you its not possibe today with locked bootloader. Have a good day!
Root is possible with locked bootloader.
Did it a few minutes ago.
Flashed 4.4.4 via Flashtool
Rooted via Easytool
Dualrecovery via .bat with Point 3 in the menue
Then flashed a 5.0.2 Zip I made with PRFCreator including Root (SuperSu 2.4.6) and Dualrecovery
Everything is working fine!
You can more accurately describe these operations how to do it ??

1. Download the firmware for your device with "XperiFirm"
2. Make a ftf of the firmware you just downloaded with "Flashtool".
3. Download "dual recovery" and latest "SuperSU" package.
4. Make sure you have a custom recovery already on your phone.
5. Read how to use this tool and make a zip for your phone to flash with it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904
6. Flash the zip through recovery. Wipe cache, data and dalvik before ideally. Done. You will be pre-rooted with SuperSU.
PS: Don't try to install Xposed yet, it causes bootloops after first reboot so I am back on Kitkat until that's sorted.
Here is the tutorial for PRFCreator:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904
Then flash the zip from sdcard1 via Philz Recovery
1st boot takes a long time
When already on 5.0.2, then flash a Kitkat FTF via Flashtool
Then root the 4.4.X with Easyroot
After that you have to use Dualrecovery installer, there you choose point 3
ZU will restart, pushing Vol Up will start Philz Recovery
In Philz Recovery Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik, Factory reset
Then install Zip
didnt work for me
Thi method didnt work for me. My mobile is C6802. It went into a loop
The steps I followed were like this:
Flash kitkat with flashtool
Root with philz dual recovery
go into philz recovery
flash the zip file made with the link given above.
for recovery i downloaded philz dual recovery flashable
Try to make your own Zip with PRFCreator with a FTF for the C6802

Followed again all the steps but checking more options in PRFCreator.... Lollipopo 5.02 with root is actually running on my Z Ultra
Thanks for your instructions!!
Actually there's a way to root 5.0.2 on UB without recompiling the .ftf and reflashing 4.4.4 back and forth. Just did that yesterday after having a bootloop with that pre-rooted .ftf.
So here's the idea (assuming you have an unlocked bootloader):
You will need the 5.0.2 .ftf, flashtool, fastboot, boot.img file from doomkernel v.22, XZDualrecovery zip and latest SuperSU zip from koushik's webpage (the one with 7 or 8 folders in it).
1) Clean flash any Lollipop .ftf with Flashtool.
2) Use fastboot to flash the boot.img from DoomKernel, thus you get a working recovery.
3) Restart the phone straight into recovery without letting it boot.
4) Flash SuperSU and XZDualRecovery, do the wipes (cache+dalvik) and power off the phone.
5) With Flashtool flash only the kernel of the Lollipop rom.
6) Reboot and enjoy! Now you have a fresh stock Lollipop ROM with full root access and a working recovery.
I suppose you could lock the bootloader back after that if you need it, though I don't see any reason to do that.
P.S. I will try to update this post with all links later when I get to my PC, posting with my XZU now.

If you're asking about my previous post, then you don't actually have to "get" it. You should load the very same .ftf into Flashtool and then uncheck every tick except "KERNEL". That's the way to flash only one part of the rom.

Anyone tried this on LG G6?
This can relock G6 bootloader like for warranty purpose?
Which functions are available/unavailable for G6
The only functions that are not available are flash stock recovery and flash factory image. The others are all available. Locking the bootloader you can brick your phone, the tool will send just a fastboot command. I've tested the bootloader unlocking procedure for lg g6 and twrp flash. There are a lot of others function that i've not tested but they should work (Apk Installer, reboot commands, zip flasher, ....)

Hello, sorry i'm a noob at G6 (just got it last week) i came from an easy to unlock/flash Nexus 5X, i have some questions, do i still need the LG Develpoer site to unlock bootloader? or is this done internally in your program?

You always need the LG Developer site. This tool is done to simplify processes not to bypass them. With this tool you will never use the terminal anymore.

oh, thank you will try it out when i decide to unlock and flash some custom roms ;D still quite happy with the stock rom it came with ...OR maybee when there is a working option for locking the bootloader, but i guess we will have to wait for that for some time ...

The command is there but you can brick your phone. I think you need of a QFIL stock rom to relock bootloader. But i think Lg has a database with all device unlocked...
Awsome tool!
It would be cool if we could lock the bootloader without fear of the dreaded brick

Yes sure, when there will be a safe guide, it will also be safe to lock the bootloader
Will give this a try once someone has tried it some more.
Just tried to unlock my g6. It works. Then I tried to flash recovery, but, maybe I'd have had to reboot phone prior to flash recovery, infact after reboot the recovery installed was the stock one. So I flashed it via fastboot command manually...
Anyway, simple and working. Gread job!

Thanks for feedback, can you please tell me what recovery you have installed through fastboot?? Maybe the recovery in the tool ai wrong or have problems.
Have tried the H870 one, TWRP 3.1.1, the one that the software automatically download from server. The final message saied it was installed correctly, but after reboot, normal recovery was presented (the one that reset phone to factory reset, and infact it has resetted the phone)

Maybe the problem was not your software... Now that I am in twrp I have transferred a rom in the internal storage, I have installed it, but phone is in bootloop. And now, entering in twrp it says the storage is encrypted and asks me for the password.... now, what to do??? Damn...

Format data from twrp
@mauronofrio Ok, I solved and reinstalled from scratch everything. What went wrong, I think, is that after TWRP installation I haven't installed Magisk immediately.
Using a tool like your can induce people to just push a button and not follow every step of a good unlocking procedure. Anyway, it was my fault. Your tool works perfectly
When in try to install the zip via TWRP recovery it gives me this error :
! Sony ELF32 format detected
! Please use BootBridge from @AdrianDC to flash Magisk
this is a screenshot from the recovery log :

if you can clear this up form as I am not very fluent in this stuff (just a noob )

Update your recovery first
Have you supersu installed? If so then you need to flash back your boot.img to stock and then flash magisk again

I don't know if the SafetyNet will fail also if I installed the recovery via ADB

Backuping your DRM keys prior unlocking your bootloader will secure your return in the future, and installing TWRP is much easier when on unlocked phones.

- How to backup DRM keys?
- How to unlock the bootloader?
- How to install twrp on an unlocked bootloader?
- Will the safetyNet test success after installing TWRP?
- How to install magisk? Cause it failed the last time I tried to install it on a locked bootloader ( I had installed twrp by downgrading the kernel and installing TWRP via the 'install.bat' script, and my safetyNet test failed after that, and also magisk installation).
This might be easy for you guys to do, however it's like trying to read Chinese for me, I'd be thankful if you could help me out, more than that I wish someone could post a guide for what I'm asking (installing TWRP and magisk without voiding the safetyNet for Xperia Z2) cause I did a lot of research and I couldn't find a lot concerning Xperia Z2.

1. Backup using Dirty Cow exploit tool, which you can find in the Sony Cross-Device forums;
2. Please refer to the "UB" link in my signature;
3. Flash it through fastboot, for more info please Google;
4. Magisk can hide itself as well as the unlocked bootloader status from Safety Net, so it will pass theoretically;
5. Magisk has to patched in order to install with stock Sony firmware (no need after v13), and an unlocked bootloader as it modifies your kernel and therefore cannot be done in LB.
As always, please search on Google and read enough before posting, I learned these all by reading and searching on the web myself back when I was a noob.

Hi,
I just updated my HW Mate 10 pro to the latest version which includes face recognition. It worked as expected until I rooted the phone with FHMate10Tool. I tried using another method called Magisk but I got an error when trying to apply it through TWRP so I couldnt proceed with this method.
Anyways, after rooting, I get an error saying that my facial features werent recognized, in simple words, front camera wont open, therefore, it wouldnt work.
I even tried to unroot but even after doing factory reset, I can't seem to make it work.
Any thoughts? Please see PS below:

Thanks for your reply.
Model: BLA-L29
Build Number: BLA-L29 8.0.0.135(C605)
EMUI Version: 8.0.0
The weird thing is that I ran a factory reset to remove any root stuff and I still cannot use the face unlock feature due to the error mentioned above.
I had the phone rooted and bootloader unlocked and worked until I rooted the phone.

Is this the original firmware or you rebrand the rom?
Hi, I am on BLA-L29 800142(C432)stock & rooted phone with Magisk V16. Face unlock still running without any problems. Maybe it has something to do with the FH rooting tool?

It's because of FH Root tool.
Download your stock ramdisk from here: https://mega.nz/#!BWxElaRA!lUb-u-jXaPSAN8OrbyG4tEKCWttvqPxMPOVBn6h1PRY
Then flash it using 'fastboot flash ramdisk RAMDISK_BLA-L29C605B135.img'
Then flash Magisk from TWRP.
Factory reset only resets /data, root is kept in your ramdisk (Well. App is kept in /data, but it's just an app.)

Yes, both cameras work as expected. The only flaw is for the face recognition for unlock.

It's the stock ramdisk for your firmware, so it shouldn't cause any problems. However, if you have no recovery_ramdisk or it's incorrect it wouldn't be able to get to recovery.

Thanks! Yeah, apparently the ramdisk doesnt belong to this phone. I was able to install TWRP. I'm following the guides you provided as I type this. Let me go through these and I'll get back with you!
It works now! The problem I was having is that I tried installing the Magisk from TWRP as ZIP (which this time I couldnt find anywhere on the phone after copying it via graphical interface in android) so I just ran this command:
adb sideload Filepath\Magisk.zip
This installed Magisk on my home screen and I applied the patch from the app. I rebooted and voilá! it works now. It even had the previous configuration already applied, it recognized my face without even setting it up again.
As the phone was already rooted, Im not sure if this app really roots the phone as it didnt require a factory reset as other methods do, but the issue is now fixed!
Thank you for your support on this matter!

It does not require a factory reset. That was only needed before when TWRP couldn't decrypt phone, and it can now thanks to zxz0o0 and Pretoriano80. Then you had to Format Data to flash as Magisk installs some things to /data (contrary to what I said earlier, but it does need to patch ramdisk to function ). SuperSU only places its apk in /data/ while the rest lives in ramdisk.
