I am currently on 4.2.2 MDK rooted. I haven't done much except flash AIO Mods for odexed and freeze OTA, and delete TalkBack, GoogleTTS, and SamsungTTS. Someone told me that I can't upgrade due to being rooted. So my question is, how do I update without losing my data? Im willing to give up root too. Make sure that it's noob-friendly too, gingerbread for the X-Play was a lot easier. Thanks in advanced!
Your best bet is to Odin back to stock MDK.

just a reminder, safestrap 3.7 not reading the extsd card yet, at least it didn't for me. I'm pretty sure hashcode mentioned he is working on this. So you will need to copy files to your memory card....

Yes, it kind of works on the international S3 I believe but definitely not on the S4. It's just too hard, TW camera is dependent on Odexed TW framework.
