[Q] [Poll] SmartBar from Flyme OS - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Let's talk about Flyme OS's SmartBar insteed of the stock buttons
IMO it's a great feature that Android stock must have for 2 reasons:
-> It's a major evolution for Android since a loooong time
-> Fixed buttons are quite big and uggly: The SmartBar is soooo smart, for example in the music player, all the buttons for playing II, RWD <<, FWD >> are in the SmartBar, so you have more space in the screen for a lot of stuff insteed of these 3 biiiiiiig buttons plus the control for music
I know that some port are available, but Flyme OS is crappy globally and it's not the latest version of Android
So what do you think?
Do you think it's possible to port this feature as a module for Xposed for example?

VS.
I've been getting tired of my Xperia Play because I can't find any good games to play on it and I mostly use it for music
I'm thinking the Nexus as an upgrade for my phone because it has way more devs which means more access to custom ROMs and such
I'm all about customization and speed and that's where the Xperia Play falls short for me, as I can use and ICS ROM for more customization or I can use a GB ROM for speed, I can't really have both
Bear in mind that I am not a noob, as I've done everything to my phone from changing icons to editing kernels
All in all I'm looking for a phone that can be customized down to the kernel splash screen and still be as fast as possible
I'm also taking suggestions on other phones under $265 (Verizon w/o contract)
Thanks
Also, I chose the Nexus 4 because Ubuntu Mobile just came out for it

script for screenshot in pie controls
Guys, in the Pie Controls, there is an option to run scripts also. Can anyone post the script for taking screenshots?? In my opinion, it will be an excellent addition to the pie controls instead of long pressing the power button and then selecting the Screenshot option.
You guys can suggest/contribute other scripts also. :good:

First, I'm not related to this project. It's an excelent work of a David Ludwig's SDL WinRT/WP8 port and PrBoom team. I just compiled an ARM version (you may find it in attachment).
App is running on my L-920 pretty smooth however currently there are no (actually) controls; so may be developers will be much more interested in that project (on current stage) than regular users.
Enjoy!

Hopefully someone can change the wad to include mp3s of the music to play rather than listening to silence as wp8 doesn't support midi like the experience on Rockbox :/
Yep, it will be a good idea to add mp3/ogg music tracks and the real controls (like a virtual joystick). Why don't you try? Everything is available on the Dave's page on bitbucket...

As a user of the Moto X Pure, one of my favorite features is the lockscreen. You can unlock the screen using the motion sensor with the Active Display feature. They also do a great job of displaying your notifications in a way that gives you maximum information at a glance. I've wanted to bring the features of this lockscreen to my other Android devices and I think I've finally found a good solution for that.
AcDisplay is a lockscreen app that's a decent replacement if you're looking to step up your notification game. You'll also have the "Active Mode" which is the same as the Active Display feature from the Moto X. Since the app uses very little CPU power this isn't going to be a battery hog, which was my main concern about an app like this.
