**** I take no credit for this all credit goes to @scotty123 . This was in the international section. I did not see this for ATT users posted.
If you have used firewater to obtain s-off and you still have the tampered text in HBOOT you can simply remove it by using adb or from terminal on your phone.

As always XDA myself or @scotty123 are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device.
Let's begin shall we

No, it's extremely dangerous as you are modifying the bootloader through adb commands, not just a bootscreen image.
I did this a few days ago on my m8 , took 20 seconds to finish up.

I was referring to a boot animation or logo in a zip not what's in the OP. Using the dd comand should be done with extreme caution. I misread his question.

You don't use recovery to flash this. You have to use fastboot to flash it. Read carefully on how to do it.

Edit. Yeah so i didnt push it threw fastboot..lol..im a dumbass, but its an easy enough fix. You will know if you do it wrong like i did (just renamed it like i had the 1.30) it wont load any battery stuff and will just turn off when it starts to boot up. i just did the fastboot stuff and I LOVE THIS RECOVERY why wasnt this the way it was done when recoveries were made.
that's what's up!

Awesome!
Just flashed this and it is working amazingly! So far the only bugs I've ran into is the battery at 10% which has already been stated. I've restored and backed up without problems, and also have flashed a ROM and all went great! I'm not sure if it is just me, but it also seems to run much quicker than v1.1.1
Thanks for the awesome release!

How to flash via phone (Recommended)
Download the ClockworkMod recovery.img below and place on the root of the internal sdcard. Make sure to rename to recovery.img if necessary!
Download Terminal Emulator from the Market
Go into Terminal emulator and type "su" (lowercase, no quotes) and accept the Superuser prompt
Then type this exactly (no quotes) "dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22"
If should tell you records in and out and then recovery is flashed!
To get into recovery, you can type (no quotes) "reboot recovery". You can also access it by pressing Volume Down + Power while booting up, and then choose "Recovery". NOTE: You may need to disable Settings > Power > Fast Boot for this method to work.
How to flash via fastboot
I will update instructions later, but if you choose this way, you likely know what you're doing. Make sure to rename to recovery.img if necessary! Place the ClockworkMod recovery.img in the platform-tools (or even tools folder, depending on your SDK version), reboot into fastboot, and type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
How to flash stock recovery
Follow the same set of instructions you used above, just download the stock recovery.img below.
Make sure to rename to recovery.img if necessary!

It will still happen if you run the ruu once you root. Seems like it does some check on /system and tells you tampered if its been modified (as in rooting). Don't worry about it.

Description
Please read this entire post before attempting to flash this zip!
Be sure to read Post #2 as well
Flashing this zip REQUIRES your device to already be S-OFF.
This PJ75IMG.zip removes the following text from your splash screen:This build is for development purposes only.
Do not distribute outside of HTC without HTC's written permission.
Failure to comply may lead to legal action. This process (flashing a new bootloader) is dangerous and may possibly brick your device if done incorrectly. You have been warned.
Warning
As per LazyPanda's warning:This zip comes with NO WARRANTY (express or implied), and NO GUARANTEE OF FITNESS for any particular task. I have made every effort I can to make this a safe process for users however the author disclaims any liability for damage to your phone or other materials or devices used during this process. The entire risk of flashing this lies with you, the user. By downloading and/or flashing this you acknowledge and accept that the author is not liable for any loss, material or otherwise howsoever caused.Usage
Place the PJ75IMG.zip on the root of your external sdcard. (Copy it right onto your sdcard, not in any folder)
Reboot the phone into the bootloader by either:
Powering off your phone completely, then hold Volume-Down and Power until the phone boots into the bootloader
If you have the android sdk set up, type 'adb reboot-bootloader'
Use my RegawMOD Rebooter
Then select the menu option "Bootloader" and press the power button.
If you rebooted the manual way (Volume-Down + Power) You should already be at this menu
It will load the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard and ask you to accept the flash.
Press Volume Up to flash
Once prompted, press Power to reboot
Pro-Tip #1 (thanks dsEVOlve): Remove the PJ75IMG.zip from your sdcard so it doesn't load next time you enter the bootloader.

Read the OP. Step 1 and 2 and 3 tells you EXACTLY what to do to access the bootloader and flash the zip.

Its pretty self explanatory. Copy the zip file to the root of your sd card (not in a folder), reboot into your bootloader and the phone pretty much takes it from there.....

If I'm not by a PC can I rename to PH98IMG.zip and install via bootloader? I do realize this currently is a .img
You can't through the bootloader with this img. However there are some instructions floating around on a method to do it through terminal emulator but if you find them you'll need to make sure they are for the rezound.
Once I get home from work ill package them up in a bootloader zip and ill see if I can't get the right partition info so they can be flashed from terminal.

I just opened up another ph98img zip I had for another splash screen with 7 zip, deleted the splash1 out of it, and copied this splash1.img in it's place, closed zip. Placed on ext sd, and flashed in bootloader. Worked like a charm.

I am now officially home. Give me about 15 minutes or so and I'll have a bootloader zip for you
Well that was easier than I though, link is in the OP!

Good news! I finally figured out the partition that splash1 resides on. So now there are 3 confirmed ways to flash splash screens.
The details will be in the OP (which is getting prettified tonight)
I like the black reflection.
Nice job on these!!! The black reflection is sweet.
I miss my unrEVOked splash from my Inc.
