Looks like you will need to restock with SP Flash Tools. Check out the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517093 for more info. I'm not familiar with this particular device, so make sure that that stock system supports your particular model and configuration as many phones like this come with different RAM or NAND sizes so you wanna make sure everything matches up to avoid making things worse.

Dear sir I flashed my phone with stock rom dozen tiems using sp flash tool. But when phone starts it hangs on boot logo I also install clockwork mode it shows erroe emmc not found also data, cache not found. It was unable to mount external and internal sd card. During memory test it shows
ERROR: NAND Flash was not detected!
I dont have any backup.md5 image to restore data or using MTKDROID tool?
Is there any hope for me to repair it by myself or i should head to service centre!
Sounds like you messed up the partitions. If flashing the stock rom through SP Flash Tools doesn't fix it, not sure there is a whole lot more to do, but like I said, we don't have those kinds of phones here so not 100% on that. Maybe something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2296230 would be able to reformat something to get things going, but part of the instructions involve starting an app while booted, but can't really see why that is important if you have to flash the new parts through the SP Flash Tool anyway... If nothing else, maybe try to get a hold of the developer of that mod as obviously he is fairly familiar with the layout of the phone and would probably have some other suggestions for your issues.

Thank u sir for this helpful information.I trird but it always stucked during downoad :crying: finally I take it to custmor care. They flashed suscessfully but in recovery mode it shows laying android nad red triangle error. Is this happen due to faulty hardware or software problem. They r telling me to change the motherboard (PCB) my warrnety expired two weeks before....what is the reason of this error?
So they flashed the correct original firmware to the device and it doesn't boot? Or it does boot but just curious as to why the recovery has the red triangle?
If they flashed the right thing and it still doesn't boot, then not likely anything short of sending it to the manufacturer would help. Trick is knowing whether they knew what they were doing or not.

Ohhh ok, well then all is well! That is pretty common with stock recoveries across many manufacturers. Often there is a combo of buttons to push when you are at that screen to get the reboot and reset options to show up. I'd try toggling volume keys in there, see what happens. If you need a custom recovery, then you should be able to flash one again now.
Stock backup + SP flash tool = problem solved
No. Actually my phone screen was broke which replaced by service centre.Just from that day all panic begins it drain a lot of battery so I threw it into bin
Sent from my XT1068 using XDA Free mobile app
Micromax service center personnel's are worst and dumb people
My A116 also had the same problem.
Used to heat a lot and hang and restart without any fixed pattern/reason.
I flashed the rom many times, changed the recovery, formatted all, wrote new IMEI's, used custom ROM Etc. But, the same problem was coming everytime.
So, I concluded there should be some hardware issue and gave it to the service center here in Old City, Pune.
After a couple of days the service person called me and told that "ur board needs to be replaced. Its damaged and will cost 80% of the price of the phone"
I brought my phone back and showed to local repair centers. The response was "sir we ll not touch ur board as its short by the authorized people. Else we would have repaired it"
These chinese service centers are useless. Its like a deadlock.
Chinese will say : sir aapne bahaar khulwaya ab warranty se gaya to paisa lagega
Outsiders: Sir aapne service center mein diya to aapne galat kiya.
My phone was better hanging than completely damaged. At least I was able to flash and use it intermediately.

The risk is very small as long as you follow the instructions to the letter. Read from start to finish a few times before doing anything and double check everything. It's actually all very easy and straightforward
Edit: and have a look at the thread about backing up your EFS folder before flashing (you'll need root) it's in the dev section somewhere.

But how hard is it to really brick a SGS2 ?
I think i read about 1 person who couldnt get his phone up and running again .
SGS2 i belive is really hard to brick.
Sorry for my bad english
There are enough who totally brick a phone in the course of a year . But its hard to do plenty of oh hell moments but recovered flashing stock rom .
Brick tends to be a misused term SGS brick means it should work after flashing stock rom via odin . Other phones brick means dead phone return to factory no hope .

As long as you never tick "Re-Partition" and insert the PIT in Odin its almost imposable to brick unless you somehow nuke the bootloader(which you shouldn't be able todo via flashing custom roms).
I dont even think theres much of a chance of radio bricks, worst that happens is that you have to re-flash.

As long as one of the (secondary) bootloaders is still intact and you can get into download-mode (maybe by using the USB jig), then yes.

If the service centre can't fix (when I sent mine to one they told me it was beyond economic repair) don't lose hope as this guy will probably be able to repair it for you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1602851
Ended up being cheaper than if my local service centre had been able to repair it too.
Being new to flashing I was also very scared at the start. I was pulling my hair out when the first time I flashed a new rom and got stuck in a boot loop. Luckily I backed up the entire system and I was able to restore.
Make sure you do a back up of your system first.
The first time its scary, I had no nails after the first flash lol. But after that its fun, just make sure to read everything and follow the instructions to the letter.
Good Luck!!
Sim card not recognized
I have rooted by galaxy s2 and my phone fails to recognize the sim card and unfortunately I didn't backup my original rom to restore the previous settings
I tried various things: hard reset, install alternative (custom) roms all seem to have no effect on the sim card.
I am getting quite frustrtated with this, is there an original ROM for my location (GREECE, VODAFONE) to try with odin ? I should note that my mobile seems not to connect with the PC when I try to connect it via kies (odin works instead)
Is there a possibility that the phone's card sensors are physically damaged, thus return it for repairs ?
Thanks for your time

SGS2 - Download mode but no recovery
Hi!
I have a bit of a problem here as well when i was trying to flash back to the stock firmware. Now when I try to get to the clockwork recovery mod, I get the famous dead screen with symbols of mobile phone, exclamation point and a pc. I have been searching solution to this problem for hours now, and still I don't want to quit.
My previous custom rom was installed in with no problems. Litening rom 3.0.
Now, with usb jig i can get into the download mode, no problem there. It just seems that the traffic is just jammed.
Download mode works but Odin doesn't transfer anything. Gets stuck on the factoryfs.img while i'm trying to flash. Kies doesn't recognize the phone but pc recognizes the USB device with no problem. Original stock firmware doesn't load on the phone. Odin just stops transferring.
Things I've tried so far.
-Reflash (both litening rom again and stock firmware) with odin (Kies is not on while I do this, I checked)
-Kies (doesn't work)
-Download mode does work but it seems that phone doesn't accept any files.
-I tried the one-click unbrick which seemed to do something god but failed at the end.
What could I still try? I'm running out of options now.
I apologize for my bad english.
What a start to the day....
Sg2 would not turn on. Tried loads and then left it. Suddenly a few mins later
it came on but was hung on the boot screen. Now its turning on but just hangs
a frozen boot screen.
So thought I would use ODIN to wipe it and start a fresh. Odin also just hangs
at the start at NAND WRITE START cache.img and goes no futher ever.
I tried to do a restore in CWM but again hung and eventually failed with cant find file error messages.
Seems like internal memory is screwed or something any ideas?
Can you get into download mode (power/home/volume down) ?

Have you tried booting into download mode (as stated above), or using a jig? They cost a few dollars from Ebay, but they're a life saver in these such situations.
Have you tried to flash a different ROM? Maybe the cache.img is a dud or possibly corrupted?
can get into download mode but because a flash failed CWM is gone and just get "firmware update encountered an error".....just tried a different firmware download in odin..again hangs on NAND WRITE START....
read other threads with same error , not looking good
I think a JTAG repair will probably be cheaper for you than paying Samsung to fix it. Do a search on here/Google to find a JTAG repairer close to you. If you can't find one near you, there's at least one that I know of you can post your phone to, have them repair it & they'll post it back.

Since the phone already is in "has to be sent in anyways" state, I think this quallifies for the "last resort", only do this as last step before packing it in for sending to service.
Try an Odin flash with a .PIT file and "[X] Repartition" checked.
But be very carefull with that, double check and tripplecheck everything is perfectly set up (correct stock ROM for your model, USB connection could sustain an earthquake, PC will not crash or loose power.... all that stuff) because this could totally kill it when something goes wrong.
Well, once the preflight is done, hit the mighty "Start" button and start to pray.
Well tried ext option and hangs on setting partition. I'm worried the phone is actually proper broken since its not flashing or rom issues that was the original problem. Just went off, wouldnt turn on, left it a while...suddenly on but hanging on boot everytime..then the flashing attempts to realise more broken than ever! Will service fix that?, im with vodafone UK and they will be arsy if they find custom rom flashes etc? Can I send direct to samsung...? thanks for ur help peeps!

Are you using a single file when your trying to flash? I had an issue where it was stuck on the nand part, then I flashed using three files, PDA, Modem, Csc, and it was successful.
But seeing that you've tried repartition and that didn't work, you may be screwed.
Well, if it's that broken that nothing boots, nothing shows, nothing even flashes, I doubt they can see you got a custom ROM on it (Samsung could, but would very likely not bother checking).
So just tell them it failed during updating with KIES.
Since KIES is "teh craps" and everybody know that, they will likely go "oh yah, another one"
Are you using the original Samsung data/USB cable when you are trying to flash with Odin ? If not, do it.

Yeah, I tried to use a data cable that came with an HTC once. For some odd reason, it didn't work.
I've had Odin flashes go.wrong before and almost always fixed it by rebooting or restarting Odin. Maybe even try on a different PC. For me a 3 part file with pit + repartition has always done the trick.
However it does seem like your problem may be hardware related.

If they check that you might be in a bit of trouble warranty-wise. Or you might be lucky. If you can wait a few days or however long it takes to get a jig, might be worth getting one.

Regardless, please try the original cable, you have nothing to lose.
For the first few months, I was flashing ROM's fine with an el cheapo usb cable from ebay then suddenly, Odin would always hang. Reverted to original cable and everything has been fine ever since. I have also noticed that the file transfers and Kies Backups are noticeably quicker on the original cable.
Given you can access download mode, I'm crossing my fingers for you that its only a soft brick. Also, try plugging in the usb cable to a port directly on the motherboard (ie not one of those front panel extensions), also try different computers.
I thought jigs didnt work after a certain firmware or are they're new jigs available?

Depends on what version firmware you have on your phone/what you tried to flash. Do you remember either/both of those ?

They don't work the new bootloader, but if you got your ROMs from Intratech's thread, most of them have the bootloaders replaced with the old one.
You could also try to flash the old-bootloader-only .tar that is also in Intratech's thread if the jig doesn't work, maybe it at least manages to flash that one so you can reset the counter.
well it's officially knackered
tried original samsung cable - same problem
different computer - pit and 3 files plus single files , same problem
cant even flash any old bootloaders to reset the jig!
so gutted it ran my life for me schedules, to do, all sorts, oh well
goosed - thanks anyway
Hello Guys,
I own a Galaxy S2 I9100G.. 2 months ago i flashed it and installed custom Rom of cyanogen mod version 10.1.3-RC2-i9100g ...
Last night i was browsing the internet when suddenly it got stuck and i had remove the battery to restart. But the problem is that it didnt restart.
I can only go in to download mode. But cant seem to flash via odin it fails atfer nand write. And i am not able to find the files for my mobile..as many files here were on hotfile server and it seems to have been closed.
Please help me regarding this matter how should i proceed?? how do i get it to start ??
Last resort would be to go the service center but i would like to try to fix it before.. And warranty also expired a while back ..
I get complete ( write) operation fail after nand write..
do u think my hardware has blown up or something ?? or is it just sofware problem ?
I am using odin V 3.04 .. On odin version 1.85 it usually doeant go on after nand write and stays on it ..
Please help me here .. I really would like to fix my phone : (
Can't you go to Recovery using Volume Up+Home+Power ? the symptoms you are telling are kinda dangerous. At what stage the Odin flashing fails? if its at the factoryfs, than i am afraid you are facing a super brick here.
Look for firmware on AndroidFirmwares.net or Samsung-Updates.com, you don't need to use the exact same firmware that was originally on the phone, any firmware for your carrier will do (make sure it's I9100G though) & if you're going to go back to a custom rom as soon as you get your phone working normally again, any firmware from any carrier will do.
Search for Hopper8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread, though some of the stuff he mentions is I9100 specific (advice to flash specific files) a lot of the other stuff is generic I9100x stuff which you should try if you find you can't get a successful Odin flash.
But if it keeps failing at NAND write having tried a lot of different I9100G stock firmwares, the NAND might be cactus, which means you need a motherboard replacement. But I'd try a lot of stock roms before I conceded that if I were in your situation. Often these things can be fixed by persevering.
@alvinasnow Nope i cant go into recovery mode.. If i could it would have been very easy after then.. Only download mode opens up.. And i tried different things flashing bootloader, kernel, firmware, pit,csc , everything fails at nand writing .. So is there a way out of this ??
@MistahBungle I was afraid that might be the answer motherboard replacement.. I tried different firmwares and even flashing via different Methods but its always the same.. i will go to the sites you mentioned to try more firmwares..
But i think my only option would be to go to a samsung service center i guess :-/ ?? they would be able to fix it right ???

Yep, but it's cheaper, faster and very easy to do it yourself
Inviato dal mio GT-I9100
Yep. Sourcing a 2nd hand motherboard online somewhere & either replacing yourself or paying a local mobile repair shop (non Samsung service centre) to replace will be much cheaper than paying a service centre to put a new board in.
So Basically there is no way to save my internal memory data :-/ ????
Changing the motherboard i guess would mean all gone with not a single hope of recovery.. OR i get to keep my data after the change ??
If you didn't back your data up, no. I guess you could contact companies who recover data from dead hard drives & maybe they can help, but that's a real longshot & will be very expensive if it's possible.
I did one back up 50-55 days ago when i went to custom rom .. so i will be losing pretty much only data in last month or so .. not much ..
But i still dont understand why the motherboard needs to be changed ?? i mean the download mode opens and everything .. odin fails to write ..
So nand failure basically means motherboard got screwed??
Are there other flashing softwares better then odin ??
I will have to actually wait till tomorrow to see what does samsung has to say in this regard as its off today ..So thought one last fight lol ..
And one more thing the battery is draining really fast and pretty much heating up in minutes when i put it on charge ..
And when i remove the charger .. the charging battery logo does not disappear i have to remove battery for it to disappear.. and the logo also stays when i remove the battery while the charger is still connected ..so have to remove the charger to make it go away .. basically cut all power for the logo to go away ..
As I said in my first post to this thread, you might as well keep trying/flashing firmwares, but you claimed to have already done a lot of that. What you're describing is symptomatic of the NAND being corrupted. It's too time consuming for service centres to replace just the NAND (removing/re-soldering components like that is fiddly), so they simply replace the whole board (and charge you a lot to do it).
OK...That extra information you supplied in your last post might give you an easier/cheaper fix. What you've just described sounds a lot like the USB board/port is on its way out. Replacing this yourself is cheap & easy to do (you just have to wait for the part to be delivered once you order it online); there's a guide in the General section which has all the info you need (search for replace USB charger board). Do that, then see if you can get a successful Odin flash. If you can, happy days. If you can't, then you replace the motherboard one way or another (or get a new phone).
This may or may not fix your problem; it may be a case of the NAND corrupted and the USB board needing replacing, but you're only going to know if you replace the board first.

flash stock
^^^^^
Did you not read the OP/rest of the thread as well ? He tried to do that on a number of occasions, but something was tripping him up.
Initially it seemed fairly obvious it was likely NAND corruption, though in the OP's last post to this thread, the things he mentioned suggested a faulty USB board may have been stopping him getting a successful Odin flash.
So it was suggested he replace that given how cheap it is to do, and to try flashing stock again. That was a week ago, and depending on where in the world the OP is, he may well be still waiting for the part to arrive.
Actually i got confused bcoz he again told he can boot in download mode then his mother board cant b faulty its the usb port maybe

Hi
I tried rooting my Lenovo Tab 2 A8-50F with this guide "How-to-Root-a-Lenovo-Tab-2-A8-50F" from lenovo forum.
After finally installing TWRP there was a problem when the device was just rebooting into TWRP all the time because of "data could not be mounted" problem.
I tried restoring it back to old recovery, and I found recovery_stock.img added with the files, so I installed this stock img but now I cannot get to any recovery mode?
If I try volume (+) and power button it just restart itself, also same with volume (-) and power button. If I try both buttons it just goes into "dead command mode" (android logo image with red exclamation mark) and nothing happens. Is there anything I can do at this point? Can something be uploaded to SD card and booted somehow?
Edit:
I just tried using Firmware + Download option and now I'm getting BROM error :/... I tried searching for ROM so that I could flash the tablet with FlashTool but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what can be done in this situation because now the tablet isn't even powering up?
Thanks!

I don't know where to get flash stock rom. I didn't find any stock rom available for this tablet. I went to lenovo site but there are only folders, which I guess need to be changed into stock rom so that I could update if rom FlashTool?
Edit: I tried to use Lenovo_Tab_2_A8-50LC stock rom, but it showed some NAND error, now I can't event try flashing it anymore, when I click on download in FlashTool and connect the tablet it just ignores it and nothing happens...
Please, don't do this type of thing... I don't know how to solve it now... Never try to flash a stock rom of another device into yours, even if it has the same chipset, ram count and processor... this causes changes at the binaries, and some functions can be lost, like camera, touch, fisical buttons. I guess... This can cause irreversible changes on the device, tell you with personal experience... I had an device which had two variants, model MB525 and MB526 (Defy from motorola) and I flashed an stock of MB526 and mine was a MB525 this made my phone hard brick... After this, it never turns on again... Any type of signal. Your device presents any signal of power? If your device come to this I guess, don't know if it can back again to turn up...
Flash is a powerfull thing... Remind of "flashing" like subscribe all your mind... Bringing an example to our body, its like fill the brain of a people with the basics commands of wake up, breath, live, talk and others.
Please, tell me what signals you can have, that I can try to show you an path.

Please, don't do this type of thing... I don't know how to solve it now... Never try to flash a stock rom of another device into yours, even if it has the same chipset, ram count and processor... this causes changes at the binaries, and some functions can be lost, like camera, touch, fisical buttons. Hello members,
i'm stuck in difficult situation.. i tried to flash VIVO Y83 (MT6765) (android 8.1) with STOCK ROM using (miracle thunder & SP Flash tool). I succeeded flashing stock rom (downgrading). i was happy but when i switched on my phone, display was black (it has white screen or shaky and distorted color display where i can see welcome screen, it was untill i flashed it with stock firmware, but as soon as i flash it with updated version of stock rom, the screen goes totally black)..
i also searched internet.. i learn about no rollback feature(no downgrade possible, might be the reason idk) , lockedbootloader (but, i unlocked the bootloader using miracle thunder, when i flashed it for the first time with stock rom) .. etc....
After turning the device ON, it was stuck on welcome screen with shaky display (or black screen with different version of stock rom) and it doesn't turn OFF even after pressing the power button for sometime or boot in fastboot mode, i can click screenshot( i hear the sound of camera clicking) or adjust volume by using volume buttons and power button... i switch off my device manually by removing battery..
One more thing.. i can flash the phone with spflash tool but with miracle thunder it shows "error0_0" while flashing.. I also came to know that when i tried to write perloader from stock rom using miracle thunder it says "BADFILE.. does not write to phone" so, i tried to read the preloader file from the device and save it.. and use it to write and i got no error.. but phone was still stuck on BLACK SCREEN..
CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIX IT... or Any Suggestions ? ...
[i can also provide logs of miracle thunder(let me know that)..]
i also want to know that Is the problem cuz of the da file because i used a da and auth file from a thread post saying, "special da and auth for MTK devices like y83, y81, e.t.c..
i can only flash with these special da and auth file, cuz the da file from sp flash tool(tried different versions) or miracle thunder or from stock rom doesn't work ( i got brom errors)..
P.S.- I have no old or previous backup & it's a secure boot mediatek device...
Sorry about the stupid poll, i'm a noobie.. i'm still learning about the forum.

sad that no one replied. is that device in warranty? at this point it would be best to replace it from the company itself if that's in warranty.
