A mod for remap button on MIUI ROM ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi ! I am on MIUI ROM and I love Xposed ! [emoji5]
But a lot are not totally compatible with MIUI, like mod for remap button...or insert emoticon (emoji) in stock message app.
Did you find one, or is there someone who could manage it ?
Thanks a lot !

Might be something useful here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481178

Talking about keyboard, it's editing system/usr/keylayout/qwerty file.
Talking about remap the buttons of phone, it's editing the generic file in the same folder above.

I might be wrong but I think it needs framework modifications

to install that kind of app you need to paste it to the right folder, then give the right permissions (644 -rw-r--r--), reboot, then click install

Edit : If you just want the menu I can tell you how to do ... I'll let you search how to link it to the app ... but you'll have the option

I used this usefull tuto :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532
This tuto is for reboot option but you can adapt it for scrennshot
There are many tools on xda to decompile/recompile files (apk, jar), you'll need some.
Find a screencapture.apk or else. (could upload it if you want but can't actually)
You need a png (see attachment )
and time ... many many time ...
Before doing something make sure to back up everything .. easier to revert if something is wrong ...
Good luck !!!
PS: don't hesitate to re post if have question ... I'll help you the best I can ...
Here a link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23663956
Don't know if you can flash it (back up everything before trying) it can be a model. Or use championswimmer's rom... It's wonderful ;-)
Sent from my X10S using XDA
Search all over forum site, you will find that, but the tutorial is little complex.

What I'll say works for me, but I don't know if it will work for you, so...
I strongly suggest that you do a complete backup before try this.
In my case, I just use the "Screenshot addon stock battery icon" (http://www.mediafire.com/?wardngkcsio2zaw) over my current 2.3.3 (very hacked) Stock ROM. This pack changes your framework, some icons, etc, and put the options in the Power Menu. In my opinion, the result is perfect, much beautiful with no FC, but I really hope your backup is good enough if you do not like it.
This file is from the "X10S" [v8-final] thread, where you can find some other options (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25505738&postcount=1994).
Hope it helps.
Hi,
I think I'll make a tuto for the screenshot option in power menu cause I don't think there's something about that ...

REQUEST: MOD for Android Keyboard (No Enter Key)

Good day everyone!
I hope that DEV's alot some time for my request.
My request is all about the android keyboard's missing feature that enables you to switch Smiley key into "Next key" or Enter key.
I look all over the forums and I found a modded ICS android keyboard, BUT its intended for NEXUS. I also want to ask if its possible for my ace to use this modded keyboard. Thanks!
why don't you use swype ?? It's better and is upto your requirements also

Thanks Bro!
Would you mind if i ask 1 more thing? How can u make it as a SYSTEM App?? I also can't seem to find the keyboard app in my lewa rom, because I have read in some posts that you can overwrite the system app with your desired app then just change the Permission.
By the way, thanks sax0406 for giving some time.

Use root explorer to paste the apk file in /system/app folder.. Then long press the apk, go to permissions, change it to rw-r--r-- and then reboot

MIUI on-screen buttons?

Has anyone succeeded with this? I've followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364757 but after reboot everything looks just the same. I pulled the apk again and checked, navbar is set to true and all imgfiles are there. Is there another way to do this?
Anyone?
