Hello .i bought Galaxy s2 i9100 VERSION 2.3.5 and i updated the ROM to android v 4.1.2 I9100XWMS1_I9100NEELS1_NEE_4.1.2 JellyBean.
my problem is that the GPS does not work great .whene wifi is activated the GPS works great .but whene i desabled wifi ,sometimes in google maps he show me a diferent place and sometimes he shows me nothing . what is the probleme ? can you help me ?

Probably the problem is with your pool servers. When you use wifi or cellular data your gps find sattelites with extra help of this. But if you want use only gps without companion you mast set your proper lokalization with app from gp. You must change region for your gps probably as defualt is africa. You need to set proper localization. And everything should works ok

Adding to mosepel's advice - use TopNtp and GPS status&toolbox from Google Play

[Q] google now and problem with wifi disconnecting

I would like to ask you for help in some strange matter.
I have Note 2 (N7100) with stock soft 4.1.2. not rooted
Maybe first I will describe the circumstances and then the problem.
Recently I have installed llama in order to control the time of wi-fi connection and the time of synchronization. I added the rule: screen on wifi and synchronization on and screen off - wifi and synchronization off. Moreover I installed in my car NFC tag in order to auto connect with my car radio. For this I installed from Google Market the plugin Bluetooth Auto Connect and NFC Task Launcher. Everything works fine, when I’m switching the screen on, wifi is connecting and synchronization is on and in reverse when I’m switching the screen off wifi and synchronization is switching off. The rule in NFC Task Launcher concerning auto connecting to my car radio also works fine. However the problem is that after some time (let’s say after a few hours) when the screen is on and I’m connected to wifi, wifi suddenly disconnects when I’m clicking on widget of ‘google now’ although wifi is on. When I’m switching the screen off and again switching it on wifi is connecting but again when I’m clicking on google now the situation repeats. The only solution is to restart my phone but the whole problem comes back after a few hours.
Did anyone have the same or similar problem? Please help me to solve it.

[Q] GPS Problems

Hello,
I´m using a Sony Xperia ZL with Android 4.2.2 (Root / looked bootloader).
Since some weeks i have the following Problem (before it works correct):
The GPS coordinates are displayed correctly in Tools like "GPS Test" from the Market. So I think the GPS itselfe works correct. If I start Google Maps or other Apps that use the GPS signal, I get a complete different Location (China, Russia, Brasil or somewhere else on earth).
Hopefully someone can help me to solve the problem" Thank you in advance:
Regards
surfer
EDIT: Problem solved XPrivacy coused the problem!

[Q]Permanently Disable Wi-Fi on S2

Hi. I have hardware problems (I guess) on my SGS2, and when I turn ON my wifi, it's stucked at "Turning-on WiFi" without really turning ON. This is also true on when I reboot, my S2 automatically opens my WiFi, and as expected, stucks on "Turning-ON WiFi" again, which, maybe, drains my battery.
Why guess? I changed ROMs from Stocks to AOSPs and no chance of really turning the WiFi ON.
I searched on XDA (obviously) and found this thread, saying that I should delete the /system/lib/modules/bcmdhd.ko (or some bcm* file) to disable the WiFi module, but on the Stock Jelly Bean (Currently Using), there's no /modules directory...
Searched for the file "bcm" through Root Explorer, and it showed a LOT of bcm-named files, so I have no idea what to delete...
Can you guys help me out?
I appreciate if you would. Thanks!
Surely you must take it in assistance, putting ourselves on maybe the ROM stock. You're not the first, but most people have solved the problem in this way
Try change kernel that should be works

Yes, i'm problem with GPS, but the technical assistance service of LG in Spain says it`s okay.
The signal recepction is horrible. In the car... impossible.
Almost like my english
Pas milleur le français
Currently I use a bluetooth gps module, but is a bad solution. Today I received an updata but solves nothing.
My GPS is ok, compared to Moto Defy Mini that I previously owned.
You have to mount the phone on he dash or the windshield when in the car, for proper reception.
I fixed my GPS this way:
- first, you need root for the following app
- get app FasterGPS from Google Play
- set Continent and Country/Region in the app
That is all. It works 100% better after changing these 2 settings.
Yes... i'm rooted, fasterGPS... but... look this:
Did you set your Continent and Region in FasterGPS, and restarted the phone after that?
Mine was set to China when I bought it, and it took 15 minutes to get position. After this settings in FasterGPS, it works like a charm.
I also use GPS Status & Toolbox to update AGPS data. This one will start in the background with every app that uses GPS, and I have impression it help too in real-time.
Could you guys let me know how did you root your minis? I really need to fix my GPS and if you say that it works, I want to try it.
BUT - I was not able to root my phone using towelroot and I cannot find any other way to root it. Where is the problem? Thanks!

Try this
If that doesn't work, try this.

My wife receive her LG G2 Mini and the problem of the Fix GPS is different if i change my Operator.
WIth my Sosh operator (from my LG G2), fix is fast (5s), with Virgin operator, Fix may take 1 min or more ..... But otherwise, without any network (plane mode) it may take 3-4 min
Wow, thanks to this topic, now I don't have GPS issues and it works great.
Downloaded fasterGPS, set up everything and I'm good to go.
I've been playing ingress for months and it was a pain to have awful GPS signal.
fasterGPS worked for me too. It couldn't lock at all before and now it's perfect.

How to limit internet speed connection?

I am searching for few days now an app, which can limit internet speed - overall for global android system, or even better - for every single app.
The only one I found (BradyBound) doesn´t work (my devices are rooted of course).
The other one, has only internet speed limiter for uploading - and I need it for download.
Is there anything I can do?
