I think you can't do it properly.
You can follow the steps to move the apps to SD card:
Go to Settings > More and select Application Manager.
Select an app that you want to move to your SD card.
Now choose Move to SD card, and that’s it!app2sd
Once your app has been completely moved to SD, you will see the space that has been moved to SD card under SD card data.
In case you need to move your app back to your internal storage: simply select Move to device storage.app2sd for galaxy s4

I am from Italy.I have the i9205 version.
I installed via Odin the official firmware I9205XXUCNA2 downloaded from sammobile and I can
guarantee that after the instalation you will have the option to move the applications to the sd card
(that part of the application that can be moved).
You have to know that there are application that cannot be moved to the sd.

Is this for when you download or install something it saves the data to your internal memory instead of the external SD card.

[Q] Dropbox & exporting to external SD card

okay...
I have dropbox and love it (50GB free) :woohoo:
On JB roms I can't export to external SD card (I can export to internal but I prefer to use external for DB)
on GB rom the path for external SD card is accessed within internal SD card i.e. sdcard/extsdcard/ (or something similar)
So, is there anyway to get Dropbox to see external SD card on JB?? (NB, it does see folders if you create new folder from within the app, but it doesn't see any other folders [apart from clockworkmod for some reason])
-=or=- is there a way to change the JB path for ext sdcard to be accessed from within the internal storage??
PS - I do just manually move things from internal to external... but I'm not getting any younger doing it
:bump:

I have the same problem with Galaxy Note N7000. Any idea how to fix it, maybe link external_sd to /extSdCard?
Btw you can use Astro File Manager. It can access both sd card and dropbox as folders and simple copy/paste will work. Just tested

I dunno... Could it be related to a specific ROM? I have no problem at all accessing both int and ext SD cards from Dropbox "export" function (they are listed as internal storage and SD card respectively), and can see all folders on either storage. Running Disaster v.10 (stock-based LSD).
Look at dropsync ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/...e=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_term=dropsync) I think it does what your after.

Internal storage speaks for itself, SD card IS my removable micro SD card (with all the files and folders that I know are on it).....
Edit.....just an idea.....
Did you install dropbox before you put your card in the phone? If you did, dropbox might have configured itself based on the available storage options at the time......try clearing dropbox's data, or deleting and re installing the app to see if that helps......

Fixed the issue in my device. Multiple directories for my external SD card. Dropbox was choosing one called extsdcard but it wasn't really the external so I renamed that folder. It then chose the real external SD card. Now I am able to export to it correctly.

Application data is located in /data partition. Apk files can be located from /data/app, and data itself from /data/data. You can move them to SD from settings-applications.

That means it's working. Foldermount creates virtual folders which display the contents of folder you have linked (think of it like a local VPN tunnel). The folder you are seeing on internal is in fact mirroring from external, it won't effect storage space on your internal Sd.

"Fun" fact: The Spotify app will automatically choose to save your music on the partition with the most available space, so if you have an SD card over 16GB (free space, that is), it'll save your music there.

A utility that do it easily is FolderMount (you need root, but you don't need xposed, neither formating/partitioning the SD Card):

Some people will perhaps find useful read some information on Google about how to use the Folder Mount.
If you use Kitkat perhaps you'll also need the JRummy "SD Kitkat Fixer", available on the Google Play.

My sister LG 5 is not rooted. I checked to see if I could move some of them. I was able to move some to sd. It was far in between. Like 1 out of every 5 or so I could.
Are you able to move any at all? I am not going to lie, don't know to much about this. But that's because I always rooted right off the bat. Maybe someone can shed light on this?

None move but clean master calculates the storage including the SD card. So when the internal storage fills up will it just put them on the SD card?
anybody know if the phone just starts filling up the SD card after the internal storage is full because the LG doesn't consider the SD card a separate storage for some reason i read???

Is there anyone who knows how to move apps to SD card for this phone?
Tested on non-rooted LG G5 H850 with stock Android Oreo 8.0. What info have I gathered:
To move app from internal storage to external SD card storage go through this steps: Settings -> Apps and notifications -> App info -> select app -> Storage -> Storage used change -> select SD card.
But not all the apps have a feature to move itself to SD card. You can easily check availability of such feature using "Apk Analyzer app by Martin Styk" - just look at "Install location" field (tap on field for explanation).
Here you are two pairs of screenshots, where shown:
1. how does look app info, if the app have "move to SD card" feature
