I tried yesterday to install a theme but did a newer cwm4 backup just in case.... I had done this many times before with no problems whatsoever... But this time it didn't go well... Upon restoration I was greeted to the first time use screen and none of my apps were restored... The previous SMS messages were there but not the contacts or pretty much anything else. I tried extracting the data with appextractor but unfortunately it hangs on most options... But it does find the apks so they are definitely there I just don't know why cwm won't restore them... Anyone has any idea? I have a lot of information saved on the phone that I will be really screwed if I don't get it back...
Have you tried to repeat the restore?? If not, then wipe data, cache and dalvik and repeat the restore...

Many times and it's always the same case...
Try to reflash your rom (or another) and then to do the restore....

when i flashed 4.2.1 a folder calls 0 came to us and actually it didn't help at all!
so now when im on 4.1.2, i tried a lot of things, wiped everything, cam back to stock, but it doesn't help to me, and why is that? ill tell you why.
because my gallery doesn't show photos that are not in the 0 folder.
what i mean? if i transfer my photos to the folder 0, ill see them there only. because if i transfer them to sdcard0, i won't see them.
and it also like this with my songs, it's like my media player of the galaxy doesn't recognize songs that are not in the folder 0.
what should i do? i deleted and transfered everything from 0 but it still doesn't work..
help plz anyone?
try aroma file manager
If you are on or plan on staying with any 4.2 roms I would strongly suggest you just leave it. Twrp has been optimized for it and it's not even an issue anymore.
If you still want to remove it just delete it in any file manager. Might want to look through it and save anything of importance first tho.

i am not using 4.2 anymore, im using 4.1.2, and that what happens to me when im on 4.1.2
start fresh with a megawipe
Full wipe
Try a full wipe.
Hope this helped.
a "wipe" won't format the internal SD
with the app Root Explorer or similar.
once you flash your 4.1.2 rom just use any file manager and get rid of the folder.
make sure to take out your pics and backups before you do that.
You also can do the wipes (data, cache...)

If you're unrooted, wipe data will hopefully remove 0 however if you're rooted it wont.
If none of the above methods work, wipe / format /sdcard from custom recovery

Install error recovery via a new recovery version 6.0.4.6. In my Android hp touchpad. Now I do not recognize sd. One recognizes the folder ClockworkMod / backup. In the previous version of recovery I recognized all the sd. Including backup of my rom. How to make my Sd to recognize?
now only starts with webos. android does not start

I tried to install a custom ROM from XDA forum and my phone got bricked, then I unbricked my phone and after that I installed a bunch of ROM one after another and I don't know at which point but my phone is only showing only 9 GB available out of 32 GB but there is nothing in the storage
I think you have to format the data partition before re-installing a rom. This should re-establish the full storage.
@Popoyaya
How do I do that? sorry I am new to this, I don't know much about these things

I did that too but still didn't work.
Heyyo, format data in TWRP like this.
Please note you will need a PC to transfer your ROM and Gapps back onto the device as it does format the data partition in its entirety.
https://i1.wp.com/www.99mediasector.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/twrp-format-data-min.jpg
You can either try regular usb MTP file transfer or if that doesn't work?
Adb push nameofthefile.zip /sdcard
Which will put the file into the root sdcard folder. Then from there flash.
I had to do this on my x829 otherwise I only had about 30GB of data storage instead of 54GB which I achieved after format data and copying ROM and Gapps from my pc
