I don't like Having icons in my notification bar unless needed, the fit manager icon was useless to me because all it showed was that it was connected, there is no option in the app itself to hide it, neither can you hide it from the settings, if you have root and xposed installed you can use appxposed to hide the notifications permission

Is anybody else's go launcher cut off a little bit at the bottom when you pull up the settings menu to get to preferences, etc?
Mine was, until I turned off the notification bar. Since then, I've been able to see all of the menu.

How did you do that?
GoLauncher preferences/screen settings/ uncheck Status Bar.
how do you get the status bar back after that? I can't find a way to make it show up again

Download button savior from the android market. Use the menu key on button savior. From here you will be able to pull up the settings for go launcher when you are at your homescreen. This will give you the option of putting the status bar back down at the bottom.

If you do that, is there a widget or something (I searched Market but couldn't find anything) that can be used to show you notifications?

go to preference menu, the operations menu, go to glide down settings, then select show/ hide notifications. After that you can glide your finger down to show/hide your notitications bar.

You can hide all notifications from a specific application. In "Settings => Applications", pick the application which displays the permanent notification then uncheck the "Display notifications" box.
However, I don't know how I can hide the system permanent notifications. On my side, I would like to hide the "Energy economy" permanent notification.
That helped .... ,,,, but again as u said how to disable permanent notifications, does anyone know? ????

Installed Gruesomewolf's package and all is working great, but some notifications are not showing up in my notifications bar to be cleared. Specifically, if I set an alarm and then snooze, the alarm Icon shows in the top right but I cannot access the alarm to disable it. Have had a few other similar "active" apps which I could not access either and am not sure where this setting might be located.

I am having that same issue, one example is Tasker. Not sure how to fix it though.

Did you uncheck the Ongoing Items box in 3Minit? That might be why.

Ongoing title & Onging items are both checked. No notifications title is the only unchecked item.
I toggled all 3 and have had no change, currently have all 3 checked.
I have a similar issue w/ audiobooks which are playing, it sounds very much like the Ongoing Items is what is not working.
EDIT: After ticking all 3 on, the ongoing items show up, but there is a delay between when changes are made and results so I am unsure what to check and what to uncheck now. The wifi update now shows up too so time to block that item.
Make sure the ongoing items box is checked. Then reset the notification bar by making a change to the toggle text box or toggle indicators box.

You can use Nova launcher to hide status and nav bar. Go to Nova settings > look and feel > and uncheck Show Notification bar. This will auto hide nav bar and status bar.
Have fun!!!!!

First you have to root the device the you install "dynamic navigation bar" (attached) then go to settings and disable system navbar. The DNB is a much better nav bar then thestock one.
This just bricked my kindle. Any suggestion to restore?

Well the same thing happened to me. First off, don't factory reset! I don't know about you, but I don't have adb currently, but my computer is recognizing an unknown android device, which may mean I have driver issues. I ordered the fastboot cable which should be in tomorrow, and I can let you know if that helps me get adb. If it does I can save you 15 bucks and get you the cable somehow if you want.
This phone is amazing, only 1 issue for me, annoying app notification badges.
Anyone have an idea how to remove them?
Thanks

Launch the Settings Application
Tap on the ‘Notifications’ Tab
Scroll Down and Tap on the ‘Apps’ Option within the ‘Notifications’ Section
Locate and Tap on the App You Want to Disable Notifications for
Toggle the ‘Block’ Option to Disable App Notifications for that App
Yes but...I wish to keep the notifications but remove the icon?
I don't want it to pop up next to the app picture is irritating...

This will not work on Facebook or Facebook messenger. I ended up having to remove them because no matter the app or phone settings, nothing could remove the badges.

I have the same question.... specifically for snapchat.
Use can disable either with app permissions or by installing package disabler for lg. It's $1.99 in the play store but worth it. No root required.
