[Q] Problem unlocking bootloader with 4.5.145 - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im having troubles unlocking the bootloader of my Atrix 4G, Motorola saids that phones with the 4.5.145 update are not unlockables, but i have found some tutorials that seems to work.
I have tested this two with no success:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230432
http://www.taringa.net/comunidades/atrix/7323624/Aporte-4-5-145-unlock-bootloader.html
The issue i got in both methods is when i try to flash the sbf file using the RSDLite, on the phone appears the following error message:
SVF:105:1:2
sec_exception: b655, eddc, eb
and on the RSD: Failed flashing process.Failed flashing process.Phone[0000] phone did not re-enumerate after RAM-downloader was sent. (0x703E);phone connected
on the RSD progress column, it reachs 100% and instantly appears the errors.
Specs of my phone:
System version: 4.5.15.MB860.ATT.en.US
Model number: MB860
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: N_01.77.38P
Webtop version: WT-1.3.0.110_OLY-6
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #2
Build number: 4.5.1A-129_OLY-145
Any help ?

As you said, .145 phones are unlockable.
Im not sure if downgrading will work or (most certaily) give you a paperweight

At least i would like to know what does the error means, this is the sbf name that i am trying to flash for downgrading:
1FF-olympus-user-2.3.6-4.5.141-111212-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P012.sbf
I forgot to mention that its rooted.

Sorry, I got a typo. Those bootloaders are not unlockables. Downgrading im 90% sure its a bad idea. The error might be the phone refusing to flash it. Someone with better knowledge might help you

I've got 2 explanation (in my opinion):
1) Fido Rom differs from Rogers' one (I will highly appreciate if smb explain what is Fido )
2) Argentina firmware with manually restored (via nandroid) Rogers Rom.
Installation itself ends with the following message:
Code:
E:unknown command [un_configure]
assert failed: file_getprop("/system

it says, can only be done on Fido ROM.
u cant use this OTA with any other ROM. that's what pedro meant to say. that's why it works for u. and that's why it doesn't work on some other posters here that's not on FIDO.
(ps: to our non-Canadian friends: Fido is a carrier. like Rogers. like ATT. like T-Mobile. etc...)

Seems with this update fido changed there signature. cause i bricked my phone just to do a test. and wasnt able to restore it with any latam rom ( usually i can do it with 5 Latam Stock roms ) till i mixed some file from fido build to latam sbf.
lets hope that its compatible with eurpean rom.
Any1 got the same prob?
Yorgo i bricked mine too however i restored it by flashing retail.br fastboot using fla****(alternative by eternityteam) instead of rsdlite. It will bypass signature verification and you'll have a working phone again. Make sure you do a factory wipe from motorola recovery after flashing otherwise it wont boot.
To flash just unzip all the files from the fastboot and place them in the fla**** folder. After that run fla****.exe or w/e it is and let it work its magic.
Same problem we had before in the other thread discussing this: no fastboot file for Rogers or fido. This makes it impossible to update if you've ever fastbooted anything in your phone, ever, or if you aren't from Canada. I'm going to just accept that we aren't getting this or any other ota and move on.

My phone is already working ( thanks ) but i had to mix some files from fido 3331 in the Latam. it wont flash if i dont use the sbf that i made. i thought that they changed there signature. but not the case. ( i tried more than 8 versions of Rom ) none flashed. i guess when i updated the phone it didnt allow me to downgrade so thats why i had to mix Fido rom ( update ) with Latam . but now the prob i can't update my fido cellphone even with the stock nandroid. was u able to update yours? honestly its not a big deal for me cause i use a middle eastern nandroid for arabic. but official ics wont work if u dont go 1rst on the 2.3.6 even as a nandroid

thats ok i dont care for North american rom. i will have to wait for Latam to update there rom ( just to have the right kernel ) and will go back as usual for my middle eastern nandroid 2.3.6, the reason why i want the update is when in the middle east they get the ICS ( it arrive b4 canada ) i will be able to bypass the restore and it wont stuck on bootloader, thanks god i have a factory active cable so brick unbrick and rebrick lol
I'm really hoping you're right and we'll see a Vivo update soon, since that's a stock rom anyone can hop onto. I also hope you can sideload updates without having specific carriers. Considering Rogers and Fido will both gladly unlock your phone for you, I think requiring the correct carrier to receive updates is pretty backwards.

ICS 4.0.4 leaks round up

Summer is coming & cravings for ice cream is inevitable!
Here's the About phone screen shot of those leaked ics listed in chronological orders. We can see that webtop is out of beta.
See post 2 for some more details.
I've been playing with this for a while & it's quite stable. Hopefully the official one will be delivered in time.
A little warning thought: this 4.0.4 kernel is highly secure, currently the only way to gain root is via previous backup.
So, be sure to backup root before taking upgrade.
Update : Root Method 1: temporary downgrading to 403 kernel.
Update : Root Method 2 : New method to root [ROOT][ICS] Root RAZR ICS 4.0.4
Update : ICS leaks may keep you off from the official upgrade path. You'll be stucked on it until somebody leaked the "sbf" or the BL unlock.
Update : Once OTA release, patch the boot.img manually, fastboot the base system.img then apply ota. (For people who already lose root)

This can't be flashed over the tmo-leak and you cannot switch between the leaks. once you install one of them, you are bound to the system.

I just tried to update my XT910 to EU ICS but didn't success and got an error.
First, I reflashed Retail EU rom that Spryte posted above.
Second, I rooted it and kept su via RootKeeper.
Finally, I update EU ICS via Motorola recovery but I got an error and stopped.
Luckly, my phone went back to normal 2.3.6 Retail.EU.
Note: I used the mmcblk18 file from ChineseICS leak. I was trying to trick Motorola BL. I am not sure because of that mmcblk18 file.
Have anyone tried it yet?

All new latAm gb shares almost same build actually. But this is really good news, since ICS can come to any of these roms, specially canadians, since they had updated to 2.3.6 OTA.

Thanks Kent for the upload, but I could not download the file from the link. Error message:
"Your submission could not be processed because a security token was invalid"
Do we have to Paypal donate before we can download. Pls advise. Thanks!
Did I mentioned that you have to pay to download ?
Why others can download without any issue ?
Invalid security token? What browser you're using.

A noob question. I have a stock ICS GSM Razr XT910 AsiaRetail. Had updated it to ICS manually through the SD recovery option. Would it benefit me to flash these fastboot files? If yes, how? I have rooted my device.

I can't see why it would help, but where did you get the AsiaRetail .zip file that works with SD recovery? Was it the OTA version? I've been looking for that but cannot find it.

Flashing above 3 fastboot will :-
1. upgrade bootloader from 0A.6C to 0A.74
2. fully wipe user data, apps
use it wisely ...
I could download the FB zip but it is password protected. What's the password?

Hello, I have "651.167.21.XT910.T-Mobile.en.EU" that I bought from Germany, but I actually live in the middle east. Can I flash the "673.94.324.XT910.MERetail.en.06.xml.zip" or do I have to flash another one? It would really be nice if I can flash the MERetail update because I cannot read Arabic on my Version.
Thanks.
