Adding enhanced HP Touchpad BT Keyboard Support to other android tablets - TouchPad General

Hi there - Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question but I'm wondering if there is anyway to add enhanced support for the HP Bluetooth Touchpad keyboard to other Android devices? I have a Sero 7 pro, which the HP blue tooth keyboard will pair with but some of the buttons do not function.
I've sold my touchpad however I've read that there was additional support for the keyboard (enhanced support for the keyboard) within one of the latest CM10 builds.
So my question - is there some apk or module I can install to get enhanced keyboard support on other devices? I tried searching for the answer but couldnt' seem to find anything. Thanks!

Are you cereal?

Mini bluetooth keyboard for Touch HD

Hello friends
Is there somebody to tell me where to find this youtube.com/watch?v=VLAZjvQIODQ&feature=related[/url] awsome mini keyboard? I've checked all uk.ebay auctions to find one, but can not see any with hinges. You think will be works properly with HD? What about HID support?
Looks really neat, would like to know too!
Guys, it is not a special HD2 keyboard. It is just a somehow modified version of this http://www.chinavasion.com/cell-phone-accessories/mini-bluetooth-keyboard-for-mobile/

Does rooted 16gb Nook Tablet have working BT, mic and camera?

I need a tablet that will allow me to connect a BT keyboard for office applications and a cam/mic for video chats over skype.
Searching the forums has yielded contradictory answers. Can a CM10 rom, for example, perform the functions mentioned above?
Mic works on CM10, NT does not have BT nor camera.

My brother has the Nexus 7 tablet and it works like a charm. Same version of Android as CM10.1 (which is Jelly Bean) and includes the camera and bluetooth. One of the faster tablets available also. Highly recommended.

[Q] steelseries FREE mobile wireless controller

Today I've bought the steelseries FREE gamepad for playing games on my HTC One X+.
I'm running the latest 4.2.2 AOKP version (20130224) by maxwen (I've also tried it on official Slim Bean 4.2.1 by bedalus), but the phone doesn't seem to be able to connect to the gamepad. When I try to pair it the gamepad is moved to the list of pairing-devices, then it says "connecting..." for about one second and then nothing happens and the device isn't connected.
Then I've tried to pair it to my iPad (i know there are two different settings on the controller for Android and iOS and of course I changed them before attempting to connect to different devices) and it worked fine, but my HOX+ doesn't build up a connection.
Is it because I'm running a Custom ROM, because in all of the reviews of the gamepad I've seen the people were using stock roms (or roms build on stock roms maybe? but I don't think so)?
Can anybody help me connecting the gamepad to my phone?
Edit: Now I've downloaded the steelseries app from the play store, but also nothing happens. The gamepad is still under the pairing-devices, the app acts like there was connected a steelseries gamepad at least once but the log is empty and I also can't configurate anything.
Edit: Now I've tried out various ROMs, 4.2 ones: CM10.1, AOKP, SlimBean and 4.1 ones: CM 10, ParanoidAndroid. And the connection was built up on all of the 4.1 ROMs but on none of the 4.2 ROMs. So I guess there's something wrong with the Android 4.2 ROMs or the gamepad isn't able to connect to 4.2 ROMs.. So is there any possibility (maybe a hidden setting or something) to play my games with my gamepad on a 4.2 ROM because actually I don't want to miss the features of 4.2...
Have you tried a sense rom?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
Yes, but there are no Sense rom available with Android 4.2 and the AOSP roms based on 4.1 have always been working. Found out it was a issue based on Bluetooth in Android 4.2 (has been completely reworked, some profiles are missing, as well as the HDI-profile which is used for things like that).
But the next kernel from maxwen will have this feature implented so the problem is solved now and the gamepad (as well as a ps3 controller or somthing like that) will probably also work on every 4.2 AOSP rom available for the HOX+, I think the thread can be closed?

[Q] Making USB Gamepads work

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I wasn't quite sure...
What is required in the Android OS to support USB Gamepads?
I have purchased an Android TV Box from Chinavasion (http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh...xt_-_DNLA_Miracast_Dual_Core_CPU_4x_USB_HDMI/) which has 4 USB ports. While it's mostly going to be used to watch TV, I thought it might be nice to play a few games on it.
I can plug keyboards and mice into it and they work just fine. But gamepads don't work at all. I understand that from honeycomb gamepads are supposed to be supported natively so I guess there must be something missing in the firmware?
I have installed USB Device Info app. The gamepads are not listed in the "Android" tab, but do show up in the Linux tab (though to be fair, the same is true of the keyboard and mouse).
Any ideas?
anybody?
well only some aps support gamepads natively. like dead trigger. but for all other apps there is six axis. you have to be rooted to use it but i love it. google it if you want to learn more about it an how to use it.
---------------------
Give me a thanks if i helped
Lg Lucid running Cm10
w/ Cm10 Kernel
Asus Tf700 running Cromi-X 4.6.5
w/ Max's v4 kernel
OK it appears that I need to find a working joydev.ko for my device which I can then start with insmod
Apparently this device is bassed on an allwinner chipset.
The Model number is A18_VGA-20
The Android version is reported as 4.2.2 (though I'm not sure this is accurate)
The firmware revision is BOX_20130425
The Kernal version is 3.3.0
and the Build Numer is wing_A18_VGA-eng 4.2.2
With that information am I able to go about locating the source and compiling the module myself?

Thanks but that appears to be for bluetooth controllers only. My device doesn't have bluetooth.

[Q] Enable Mouse/keyboard and Trackpad support in games?

Hi how can I play games on the Matricom Midnight MX2 with a wireless usb keyboard and mouse/touch pad, or any device with no touch screen?
I have a Microsoft All-in-One Media Keyboard with USB Integrated Multi Touch Track Pad :Amazon URL deleted, as system doesn't seem to like external links.
And a Logitech K400 Wireless Touch Keyboard: Amazon URL deleted, as system doesn't seem to like external links.
Of the two the Microsoft Keyboard is probably the most useful, as the trackpad supports full multi-point touch functionality, whereas the Logitech keyboard only has two finger, up, down, left right and single finger 'tap to click' functionality.
The problem is of course hardly no Android games at all were made for keyboard and trackpad functionality.
I have tried USB/BT joystick centre and Tincore Keynapper. However, both of these seem to require some extent of touch interaction with them to set them up. I don't think there is an assumption that someone will try to set them up on a non-touch enabled device.
Besides which they both seem freakishly complex and may require several hours to try to set up, if that is you can get them working, which as I said might not be straightforward in a non-touchscreen device. To be frank I would rather not have to spend hours configuring keyboard/mouse and track-pad support. I just want to plug and play if possible.
I wonder if the guys at Android X-86 have resolved this? If they have, couldn't the Matricom folks do something? This seems like something that should be enabled by default.
To be clear Keyboard and mouse support do work in Android itself, but just not in any games I have tried. One of the biggest attractions about Android is of course fun games!
Hi has anyone got an answer for this?
