How do I get blue signal bars to show constantly in ICS.I always get gray bars and only get blue when turning data on and when turning on Wifi.
See my sig. for which ROM I use.

It is blue only when successfully connected to Google services.

No there is a bug with it. It doesn't show bars at all until you refresh the screen (off/on) really quick

The topic starter asked about blue/gray signal bars.
Also, I am not aware of any bugs with the signal bars on ICS.
This is a bug or may be a default setting in MiniCm AOSP Lite...in this rom the signal bars are always blue irrespective whether you have a workinng data connection or not....However in FXP CM9 etc it works just fine.....
On some ROMs, I had the bars blue, when I had connected to Google services. Didn't have any other problem with that.
After using the leaked version of 4.1.2 jelly bean on my GT-i9100 s2 , i have turned to the official release XWLS8.
Now my Wifi won't go to sleep anymore , even if my sleep policy is set to 'never'
Anyone else having encountered this issue ?

Thanks for the quick reply , this time i am using a full stock rom , the Spain release to be more exact.
Wifi sleep was working on previous custom roms as well as the 4.1.2 leaked version.
Another option i have tried is a battery saver app , to put my wifi in sleep mode when i turn off the screen , but i don't like battery saving apps , so that's gone
So now i am left with this bug i guess?

It probably is a bug. You could try Siyah Kernel or Dorimanx Kernel and try it for a few days to see if the WiFi goes to sleep on them. I suppose you could turn off the WiFi and just turn it on again, only if you are going to have the phone asleep for 10mins+ or I guess it wouldn't be viable turning it off and on all the time.

Or maybe i'll go back to the leaked version , which had a Wifi bug as well , sometimes the screen would freeze before unlocking , if wifi was left on and had gone into sleep mode

If you set policy to "never" it will NEVER go to sleep...Use the middle option (only when on)
That is the menu for selecting WiFi sleep. Middle option only keeps on WiFi when the phone is charging.

I am familiar with the options , i believe 4.0.4 had things the other way around.
The idea is that no mater which option i go for the wifi will not go to sleep , so strange as it may sound the final version still has a Wifi bug. ( the leaked one had the lock screen freeze when on wifi )
Silly question , but how long should the phone stay in sleep mode for wifi to go off ?
I am now on 'Simplistic Completely Stock' + jeebo kernel ( which should fixes the freeze screen issue )
I have the same problem with wifi : never sleep.
I try back ginger bread, ics, another jb and the same result : wifi never sleep.

Settings>Wifi > press menu> Avanced > Than click on: Keep Wifi ....and select never

Hi everyone I'm new on this forum. I'd had posted the question on the ROM's own topic but I can't because it says I have to send something like 10 or more posts in general discussions. I have a few litte problems with this amazing rom that makes my Galaxy W work at the speed of light
1. The vibration with sound doesn't work, I don't know why..also checked vibration always.
2. I noticed that the wifi and data buttons on the notification bar doesn't work, I tried to click on them but nothing happens. The only way to active and deactive the mobile data is on the options. Wifi seems not working instead, also if I go on the options it seems to be locked, the switch ON/OFF is of a dark grey and I cant use it.
3. Is there a way to lock the notification bar while the phone is on the lock screen ? That's because I noticed that you can use the notification bar also with locked phone and I don't like it much.

No sound with bluetooth headset
Has anyone used a bluetooth headset the current DU Version DU_i9300_4.4.4_092914 ? Bluetooth microfone seems to work, but the speaker doesn't. There seems to be a problem with this rom. When I have my headset connected and dial a normal phone call, I can't hear the other person (tried bluetooth volume to max . But the other person hears me. Even when I switch to an other speaker (phonespeaker, loudspeaker) during this active phone call, there's no sound
My plantronics headset worked with all 4.+ Android versions with no problems, tried several 4.4.4 roms before. Just now I connected it to my nexus 5, works perfect.
Anyone got an idea how to fix this?

hello i have i9300, and i have bug in quick menu when i want to change from 2G to 3G network mode, it stuck on 2G and only way to change to 3G is over mobile network settings menu

This is my favorite rom to date. I am so appreciative of the work that the developers put into this. I am curious though, it was stated that 8.1 was the final version until lollipop came out. But, since then a version 8.2 was released for other devices. Does anyone know if 8.2 will be released for the i9300?

hi , using this rom since a week . running with boeffla 2.4 all seems to be fine . when i used TB to restore apps from an nandroid many notifications poppt in plus some from the system itself . after a while the alignment got out of tune and it seems that the notification icons still align on left but keep a huge gap (3 icon placeholders ) before the start . i tried to erase systemui data wich didnt help the cause . is there any knowm way to check if there is transparent icons lurking in the first slots or if the alignment on left got a corrupted value . tia
ok , i switched my iconset and the notification icons get realigned . problem is that its crooked again after a reboot .

Hey everyone! Been pretty happy with this rom, but this morning just randomly the notification bar went away. I can pull down and it comes back but goes away after a few seconds. Any ideas? Tried a new launcher already..

battery icon not working while charging in device power off.. Device cannot be turn on after push power button..I must to pull my battery if i want to turn my device on.

dear greek dragon , could you some one help me, which should i choose for PA GApps ? i still confuse between recovery mode with cwm mode ? is it both can be use for install the rom ?
Bugs that concern me:
1) No autoconnect to my Wifi spots. I have always go to Wifi spots list and connect manually.
2) Flashlight LED turns off after few seconds but phone shows it as turned-on and keeps remind me to turn it off.

unfortunately I still have wifi problem. I live in Iran and I have to change wifi country code every day to access wifi from data/data/com.android.providrs.settings/database/settings.db
can you please find a way for me?
on kitkat I could change it on wifi advanced setting and it wasn't necessary to change it every time.

Hello I just installed this ROM and i'ts amazing everything works well except auto-brightness when I enable this option the brightness goes at the minimum and it doesn't adapt to the ambient light how can I fix this please?

& GPS Navigation in the Widget bar enables gps but doesn't disable it anymore.
And one more thing: what can i do to improve chargingspeed? do i really need to install another kernel, and if yes which one. thx

random crashes and vid cam freezes
Hey guys, ive been a PA fan for a while so was very excited by new version. however i am noticing random crashes and using the vid cam freezes phone when pressing record. any ideas ? thanks
Some random crashes with heavy usage. i.e. music, bluetooth and then a phone call on top of it. that's nothing i could be mad about.
One more thing i noticed. Brightness is on AUTO. At night i manually dim the light because it's too bright. now, if i use the statusbar and close it, the brightness is brighter again. i have to lock the screen and unlock it to make it less bright again. something to look into i think.

Can not move further from the "Connect to WiFi" or something like that Screen which pops (after language selection) during the first start set up screen..
There is WiFi available and it connects but does not transmit any data..I tried with Mobile network as well but didn't work.
