Anyone flash the WWE 1.54.401.5 firmware to their phones on the ATT network?
Radio ok? I just flashed my Developer Edition to this version and so far so good.
Only up 1 day. Shows 4G instead of LTE, so far my only gripe.
Anyone out there with the same setup?

Firmware wont dictate the signal icons, rom your running will,if running a euro rom thats what youll [email protected] icons
i'm on 1.54.401.5 with ARHD 5.0 and everything is great. My data icon shows up as 4G LTE.
Hes asking if flashing the firmware from 1.54 would show different icons or cause issues im guessing....and stock euro rom would not show at&t icons as the sku is different.Try running original vvm or isis on it and see if everythings great...

My real main concern is the radio file, I know I can mod the $G to display LTE but what I am really
asking is signal with the radio in different locations..........

It is fine. Its just like you bought an unlocked or developers edition now. You can also flash the att radio, but wwe is fine.
Excellent
Went a full work day today, battery life is unbelievable. after 12 hrs I still have 70%!.
Always check my connection speed in same location so today's test was a good one.
Ended up actually better that the Developer Edition Stock, I had over 53 mps d/l speed. (high 40's on Developer)
Sticking with this Stock WWE firmware....

For those wanting to upgrade only their radio I have uploaded the following RUU packages:
Radio 1.02.25.31 (Cingular)
Radio 1.02.25.19 (HTC)
Radio 1.02.25.11 (HTC)
Radio 1.01.25.16 (Cingular)
Each of the packages already contains an ROM updater which does not erase your phone, so your operating system and settings will remain intact.
Note: You need to have HardSPL before attempting to flash these!
Remember that flashing anything on your phone is always at your own risk.
I have updated my HTC Touch Pro to from Radio 1.02.25.19 to Radio 1.02.25.31 without any problems.
Update 1: Added Cingular Radio 1.01.25.16
THANK YOU now i try in my diamond
Do these radios work also on Diamond ?
They will not flash in your Diamond if your Diamond radio is security locked.
I would advise against flashing Raphael radio's in your Diamond, there is no reason to.
It could work because the chipset is the same, but why take the chance to brick your phone by flashing a radio which is not meant for it.
Do you see any improvement with .31 radio?
Tested it for about an hour or so now.
Can't say I noticed any difference, but I only tested it around the house. Reception around here is generally very bad and it seems to hold up nicely, so its definitely not worse then the previous radio.
GPRS, EDGE and HSPDA seem to work fine.
What about the Cingular one..? Anyone try this in the US to see if the 3g is now present..?
i flashed my touch pro with .31 and it went perfectly. In fact my US AT&T shows G. Not sure if that is the same as 3G but i am also at work where i have bad reception so that may play into it
as with the roms thread, the info is in the wiki pages already.
Although do keep discussion on the radio performance open
3g radio work in North America?
I bought the Diamond in the UK and haven't gotten anything but EDGE. Will any of the RADIO updates address this or is it a hardware problem ?

My TyTN II would show 3G most of the time in the Chicago area. It would switch to H whenever it was downloading. That's the ONLY THING I miss having now that I got the TP...Edge is too terribly slow to do anything but update the weather and my RSS feeds off hours (like at 3AM).

New to the Note world. Got a used AT&T i717 in excellent condition. Tried just about every recent ROM and radio combo (Blaze and 7 others). I'm using Wind Mobile. The only way I get any signal (even locking to 1700) is with Padawan's included AT&T radio. Even then it was pretty spotty.
Fast forward to my question. I just flashed the latest CM 11 and it's included radio is spectacular! While CM 11 is nice, I'd rather extract this radio and use it with BlackStar or something else slicker looking. Does anyone know what radio this is and/or how I can pull it out? The phone says baseband unknown.
Thanks!
I don't think CM11 includes a radio, I had UCLD3 before on 10.2 (got it when I had to reformat my phone entirely through Odin) and it's persisted across several ROMs now. I use my i717 on T-Mobile and had perfect LTE with UCLD3 and CM10.2, but I got my Note 3 now so my i717 is WiFi only now. Using CM11 now and although no SIM is inserted it still shows UCLD3 in the status.

Ah, a quick check shows you're right. Now I'm stuck to find which radio it was before. Very strange though since it must have been an "ICS" or earlier flash and it worked great with the 4.4 in CM 11.

My I717 has stock 2.3.6 on it and this is the radio it has. I found the file last night actually because I flashed the T-Mobile radio which gave me full 4g signal but no LTE. This radio depending on the strength of T-Mobile's LTE will give you LTE.

I've been searching for the T-Mo Radio from the latest 6.10.531.9 T-Mo RUU but was unable to find it. So I created a flashable zip from the OTA update by Garmig (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2375223 credit to him for pulling the OTA).
T-Mobile Radio 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L - From RUU 6.10.531.9 (Latest)
T-Mobile Radio 4T.27.3218.14_10.33C.1718.01L - From RUU 5.14.531.1 (I believe)
You can easily flash the above radios via recovery.

Not exactly sure, I remember reading something about the designations a while ago but can't recall.
The radios were pulled from the firmware zip of the OTA so they are Tmobile's if that's your concern...

To be honest the only thing that I noticed is a the change in the build number. Didn't have any issues with the previous version though so nothing to complain about here either. Works great.

I think the main difference is that T-Mo released this update to enable Wi-fi calling which is presumably reflected in the radio as well as the framework. Other changes if any, are unknown...
It just sucks that wi-fi calling works on the stock rom only...

No it doesn't, works great on ViperOne 7.
I flashed 6.09.401.5 firmware, which has a 4T.29 radio, a while ago. Just flashed the one posted (4T.28) and i'll see how it goes. The 4T.29 radio I had is working fine, LTE in most places, and speeds are fine.
And wifi calling works great, I don't think it has anything to do with the radio.
I have the same. 4t.29 radio running viperone 7. Wifi calling works flawlessly. Cell network speeds are terrific.

This is not for the HTC One Mini. If it even flashes, it will break something. It may not brick the phone, but it may render the radio useless. The phone uses a different chipset. Do not try it.

I finally got 4G LTE out in the country where I live but at best, it was only 4mbps. I knew I had to live with that and have stuck with Energy's ROM from several years ago so didn't know the M7 could do better. In the city it is always 20mbps or faster! So I decided to check XDA to see if there were any updates to the M7. Boy have I been missing out! I saw this and decided to flash the new radio and guess what? Now I'm consistently getting 25mbps and up in the country!!! That is 5 times faster than my slow home wireless internet ISP!
Thank you so much for posting this!!!

Yup, s-off the phone, change CID, and run the T-Mob RUU to "fully convert" it to a T-Mobile version. The hardware is all the same among GSM M8's, so the only thing that will really make it "AT&T" after the conversion is the stupid logo on back.
I won't supply "step by step" instructions, as doing so is spoon-feeding you the information that is readily available on XDA as long as you are willing to do the research and understand all the processes properly. And is you aren't willing to put in the time, you shouldn't attempt potentially damaging mods to your phone.
There is a guide in the "international" M8 forum section on how to convert to any other carrier version. But again, make sure you fully understand what you are doing.
Also, I've reported the thread to mods to get it moved to Q&A section where it belongs.

Hey guys, sorry to resurrect this old thread but the above steps are not sufficient. I have a brand new AT&T m8 trying to convert to t-mobile. I did all the above and when running the T-Mobile RUU it says my device's Model ID is not supported.
Where can I find what MIDs are supported and what to change it to if that's the right fix?

Agree it may probably be a network side issue. I know T-Mob's LTE network is pretty young, so maybe just working out the kinks.
Did you try to test the speed with a completely "stock T-Mob" setup (after the RUU, before flashing any custom ROM) to make sure there isn't some factor in the "Euro" ROM that doesn't play well with T-Mob's network?
Also, try testing at a few other times of day (if you haven't already). I get greatly varying download speeds on LTE. Everywhere from 4 to 31 Mbps, presumably due to network congestion. But mostly above 14 Mbps or so, and obviously nowhere near what you are seeing.
Every time I flash a custom ROM based on 4.16.X firmware I either lose LTE (though HSPA+ still works perfectly) or the ability to receive calls. I've tried ARHD, SD, the Stock WWE, and the US DEV edition, and all of them have exactly one of those issues (it's never both). I'm currently back on ATT stock 4.4.4 ROM (3.42.502.1 firmware), rooted, S-Off.
I thought flashing the WWE RUU before flashing a ROM like ARHD would be enough to upgrade the firmware, but maybe I'm missing something.

WWE RUU indeed updates the firmware, however to the WWE radio and other firmware.
I think a couple things are going on here (assuming your are on AT&T's network):
1) A number of folks have reported call issues while on AT&T's LTE network and running WWE based custom ROMs. The suspicion is that the changes being made by AT&T in advance of HD Voice (Voice over LTE) deployment is not playing well with Euro based ROMs. AFAIK, there doesn't seem to be a fix for this, although I think some devs like Team Viper are looking into it.
2) US Dev Edition is intended to be used on AT&T's network. However, its not clear from your description, but it seems you are using the WWE firmware (radio probably most importantly) with the Dev Ed ROM. If you haven't already, try the Dev Edition firmware with the Dev Ed ROM; either by RUU or flashing the firmware separately. That is the configuration I was running until just last week (giving Sense 7 a try) and seemed to have no issues on AT&T, including travel to a couple different locations around the country.

I just did; LTE is working, but I can't receive calls. When someone calls me, it goes directly to voice mail without ringing
EDIT:
So I actually got a call to come through. When it did, LTE went away and wouldn't comeback, so it definitely seems like an issue of VoLTE compatibility, even on the Dev Edition ROM for me.

Weird. I wouldn't think that you would have the issue on Dev Edition ROM, running Dev Edition firmware.
Can you confirm the RUU properly installed the Dev Ed radio, by stating your radio number?
Forgot to mention that turning off LTE is a workaround. But obviously less than ideal.

I confirm that is the correct US Dev Edition radio baseband.
Weird, I've used mine (as mentioned) not only in my home area of Boston (and surrounding areas) but also while travelling to North Texas, and Washington State, and didn't see any issues. But that is by no means exhaustive. We really have little way of knowing what changes AT&T is making to their LTE network and where (in preparation for HD Voice).
You might fall back to the AT&T 4.4.4 ROM (and even the corresponding radio) to see what will happen. But that's of course kind of disappointing to fall back to KitKat from Lollipop.
You can even try the WWE firmware (4.16.401) zip. But I'd be very surprised if you get a better result on the WWE radio versus the Dev Edition.
