Asyou can in thier post in FAcebook did anyone of you guys received it yet ?any way to manually update ?

OUI 2.1 is not going to be Kit Kat
Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk

Oh sorry I thought is , but did you receive it ?

Mate, half of backers are still waiting for their watches - so if Omate said end of April, count that as end of August...
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk

Sorry to disappoint you but KK likely won't be coming to the TS unless it's ported.
There are two more Omate products coming out, however, that will be receiving KK.

Unfortunately the ts1 was basically omates beta testing device. They will be releasing newer versions which will receive the suppport

Why in the world of "why bother"? The OUI is a complete POS, the general consensus here is that NOBODY uses it. I don't understand why they're wasting time updating it when their time could be better spent elsewhere with the long list of things missing or not working.

Unfortunately there time is spent designing and preparing the next version of the ts as well as a few other wearables. I HIGHLY doubt the the current ts will see much support. Not that there's any now. It will be left to the devs here

All I want is for them to fix Bluetooth and GPS so I can use this thing for biking. Bluetooth goes in and out when I move my wrist (hence, move the watch). until then, this device is as useful as a paperweight.

Your watch is defective if Bluetooth goes in and out as you describe. Both Bluetooth and GPS are accurate and reliable on my stock 1/8/1900 with 20140120 firmware, given the firmware issues with some useful Bluetooth profiles being just broken or missing.
A firmware revision will not fix the problems you report on Bluetooth and GPS reliability, though if we ever get one it might fix Bluetooth problems leading to companion mode uselessness. You might have a defective antenna, MTK based devices are well known to have troubles sometimes due to defective or poorly connected antennas, particularly with GPS. Isn't the GPS and Bluetooth antenna the same part in the TrueSmart ?

There have been other reports like yours of issues with BT and GPS. Either its the ant itself that's bad or the connector is loose. Either way no software update is going to fix your issue, its a hardware issue. Contact omate. Realistically I don't very much you will ever get it repaired through omate. They have been promising others with issues to wait for a service center in your country. But I don't that will ever happen. Search for GPS BT issues in here and you will see what others have been doing. Good luck

[Q] New S2 on the way: Leave stock or update?

My S2 is due from Expansys next week (hopefully )
I'm using all this unwanted time to research what I'm going to do when it arrives. I see lots of posts here talking about battery issues that only seemed to surface after an upgrade to KE1 or KE2.
So, will I leave it alone and wait for KE<some number bigger than 2>? If all the reviews I've read used KE0 (is that the name of the one from the factory?), then it looks like that's the one to stick with for the moment. While I'm on the subject, I don't think I've ever witnessed such positivity for any smartphone ever; hopefully it's not all hype.
All and any advice welcome. But please be gentle - I'm coming from WM6
Return it
On topic: upgrade to KE1. it seems ke2 has been pulled.

I heard about you people but I though you were extinct years ago.
Best advice is to forget what you know about smartphones based on your experience with WM. Just explore and figure things out for yourself about the device because once you figure it out you'll never forget it. Explore the market for apps, unlike WM the app market for Android is actually functional and has a wide variety of apps and most are free.

Ok, so most people say upgrade to KE1 (KE2 pulled) when take the phone out of the box.
So it was deffo only KE2 that had problems then - KE1 won't start eating my battery?
And don't knock WM6! I'm writing this on a 4-year old TYTN II ;-)

Good question and it has been something I've been thinking about while I wait for more sim free GS2s to come back into stock. Didn't realise KE2 has been pulled - interesting.
I'll see your tytnII and raise you with my HTC Wizard with rom flashed from WM5 to WM6.5 that I still use

Me too ... my old HTC Touch HD have served me well through 4 years, good battery, accurate GPS and several drops to the floor ... haven't been able to kill it yet
But I will get my SGS2 tomorrow and know for sure that I will fall in love instantly
The plan
Thanks for all the replies - some good advice here.
I think I'll leave the phone as is for a while and familiarise myself with it and Android before I start fiddling.
In a former life a long, long time ago, I used to be able to spell "UNIX". I suppose this means I won't be able to resist messing about with rooting, new firmware, hacks, etc. Maybe I should stick to my TYTN II ?

When are we gonna get a software update???

This phone has been out for almost a month and a half and there have plenty of issues found so has there been no mention of any software updates for the EVO3D??? Usually when a new smartphone comes out a software update would have been out by now for fixes!!!!

What are the specific problems you're experiencing? What type of bugs? Perhaps they're correctable, or there is a problem with your phone? The only outstanding problem I really have is a green tint in pictures with certain lighting, and sometimes the sms notification doesn't go away right away. Do you have more serious concerns than that?
Not crying just wondering.....Also we got best smartphone there is, so don't we have the latest gingerbread...2.3.4!!!!
I got Tacos on my Evo3d and it turned into Salsa Still working Great after Updates
Not complaining about phone because I love it......Every smartphone I've got received an update within a month for fixes you don't even notice....I guess I'm just used to getting one by now...LOL. Also all the problems with the phone I keep reading about on here
There should be one soon since they are supposed to unlock the bootloader and I would assume they'd throw in fixes

I like mine, the weather lockscreen shows it as 07 degrees outside, because it's really 107, the 1 is off screen Just a small bug.
Nothing is wrong with my phone either . I even rooted without any problems, maybe im just lucky ! knock on wood . ..

It has some random reboots although rare. Sense likes to restart itself... The lockscreen weather cuts off when it's triple digits.
May not be problematic for everyone but, stop acting like all phones are equal.

Maybe next month for the bootloader and i don't mind much about 2.3.5 as long as we get ice cream update
If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
Official Updates? Lol. Who cares?
Seriously, if one of our dev's doesn't fix it (and usually they do) I would be surprised. Make sure to thank them and/or donate as appropriate. Hell, we typically get the official updates here first anyway.
...Personally I'm just waiting for the AOSP train to pull into our station, then we get the new bugs before everyone else and then we get those bugs fixed seconds before everyone gets the new bugs....I mean update.
But if you have no intention on rooting your phone, well, you might as well take it to Android Central where a majority of the posters seem to be afraid of rooting...last I was there...a long time ago.
Everyone says there's no issues but they need to fix the volume on this weak ass speaker. That's for sure.

[Q] Who ISN'T having ANY problems?

I just want to make sure that the people that have problems are only the few of many who need to speak out. This is for people to speak out about NOT having issues.
GPS isn't an issue, at least to me.
According to this very small poll you have a little over a 75% chance of getting a good one.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=7329
Here's another regarding upgrading to ICS that shows a little over 80% having no problems.

I'm finally getting my 1st TP on the 19th, and hopefully it doesn't have any issues. I can understand the first 'batch' having trouble, and hopefully I'm not part of that. Wish me luck, I suppose.
Good luck man! You'll get a good one. Hater's gonna hate around here...just don't listen to it. You have to remember also that people will tend to seek out a forum for support when they are having problems before they go on to give positive feedback. Especially with the average person who doesn't frequent forums much.

Mine is flawless. WiFi is just as strong or stronger than my HTC Inspire. I'm at work so have not played with it too much, but I just took it out of the box. I love this thing. I will report back but so far with what it has done, I do not have any problems. Also, I have not tested GPS, mainly because like you, I do not care about the GPS functionality I knew this going into it. So you will get a good one, I have faith!
Reading here I see so many gripes and had so many worries, but now that I have my tablet in my hand all of those worries are relieved, this thing is fantastic. In my opinion way better than the iPad that everyone keeps telling me I should have got instead.
Android Forever.
Mine is also flawless. 100% so (hope I dont jinx myself.)
Mine doesn't have a single defect or flaw.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
Once I factory reset mine after the upgrade to ICS, no issues with the device. GPS is fine as far as I am concerned. Sure, it's not strong but the previous one wasn't stellar either. WiFi I don't see an issue with at all.
And I even have a serial # on mine
working great here
Wifi is definitely weak-ish on mine, but no big deal. Everything (besides GPS which I haven't tried) else seems to work great.
Not gonna lie, its flawless over here. Though I can sympathize for those with problems. Really bad luck.
Mine works Great!

Really? Flawless? ... cmon everything has flaws to some extent.
Now, sometimes they are tolerable or a "meh whatever", but every device has flaws.
My washing machine has some UI flaws, but nothing I can't live with. Same for my car, and computer OS (linux), and ...
So, everyone should simply read between lines. There will be "Flawless" primes, and also completely "Fawked" primes.
Some issues are more real than others, but they all have issues in the eyes of the person holding it.
I finally got a perfect one...
I'm not having any problems - because I have not bought one yet... ... being happy to not be an early adopter has it's advantages.
I do sympathize with those having issues though!
No issues here. Very happy owner!
also perfect here no problem what so ever
Two happy owners
My wife and I both bought one and the docks. Both 32GB gray. We both upgraded to ICS, and both work and look flawless.
The only complaint I would have is the java. This thing has the power to run the full java virtual machine, instead of just the phone based java. That is not a fault of the tablet and my wife and I both are extremely satisfied - no - better said thrilled with the Prime. I think as Asus (however its pronounced ) releases even more firmware updates, it will get even better. I upgraded mine from a Nook Color that I had rooted with CM7, and my wife decided on this over an iPad. She's very glad she chose this over the iPad.
RR II
I'd like to thank EVERYONE for their input, even posts outside of this thread. I'm glad that I was able to see a positive outlook about the Prime as well as problems some people had as well, just to know what to expect in case something went wrong. This thread specifically makes me excited for my Prime coming in late tomorrow, and I can barely wait!
Thank you again to everyone! (Would "thank" everyone post-by-post, but I'm limited to 8 per day.)
i bought mine yesterday and i am very happy with it.. havent got the ics update yet because turkish update hasnt been released yet.. i am so excited about the ics update as i have tried cm9 on my sgsII and saw how amazing the ics is. This thing is great enough to make me happy as i always want to have the best.

Never Got 5.0, Still Says Up To Date After 5.1 Release :/

My SGP612, Z3 Tablet Compact from Japan(I think, via eBay) 32GB Wifi, has said that it's up to date via the "About Tablet" settings and the Sony software on Windows and Mac ever since I've had it. Never got the 5.0 Lollipop and now the 5.1 is being released and nothing. Is there something easy that I was supposed to do here or does anyone know any little tips or tricks for this? Thanks very much.
Up to date, 5.1 release is only for: Italy and Benelux regions, speaking of model 612.
But you can flash it manually as I did. Works perfectly, though my region is Central Europe.

Agreed we shouldn't have to but things don't always work out that way.
It is great that we have options and contributors such as @sebarkh to step in with advice that I would never figure out on my own.
I am in the UK and likewise watching out for the update. If it fails to materialise OTA then I am reassured that there is a manual solution. But so far I am very impressed by what Sony is doing both in terms of hardware offerings and ongoing software support. Samsung needs to take heed.

You're definitely right. I'll eventually stop being lazy and just do it myself for sure, just hoping I won't have to. I do really like what Sony is doing too. Hoping for a Z4/5 Ultra this year! Thanks for your help guys!
Luckily the 5.1 update came today for me over wifi, which was nice cause I didn't feel like using the desktop software. Looks great!
Just wondering if I am alone in waiting on the UK OTA update to 5.1.1?
If, for some reason, I have missed the boat then I shall follow sebarkh's advice and use XperiFirm. Otherwise I am happy to wait a while longer for Sony to get round to us.
Hi, I am now able to answer my own question. Yesterday Sony OTA upgraded my UK OS to v5.1.1
So I can defer rolling up my sleeves and getting my hands dirty and possibly voiding my warranty for a while. The need for Root is becoming quite pressing though.
Just stay on 4.4 because the 5.1.1 update sucks! There is no change regarding the throttling issue when brightness is above 50% or when you have automatic brightness activated so, the intermitent lag is stiil present.
Sent from my SGP611 using XDA Free mobile app
It solved all of the bugs that effected me though. :/
No throttling for me anymore on 5.1.1

Introduction
This is a general discussion thread about our efforts to bring Android to the Nintendo Switch. (This post will see updates, we just wanted to get the ball going)
Current state of the project
The base for this port is LineageOS 15.1. As of now most things you'd expect work. WiFi, Bluetooth, Audio, Dock, JoyCons via Bluetooth only for now. Full sleep does not work yet so battery runtime is not great, but this is something that's being worked on. As of yesterday Android can be booted with the hekate bootloader and entering TWRP works by simply holding VOL- while booting. There is still a bunch of stuff to do until this can see a full release. Especially the setup process is something that's being worked on making simpler.
How to keep in touch
Feel free to ask questions here (apart from ETAs obviously). Once we have a public build we'll open a DevDB project too.
We are currently posting updates on Twitter as we go along at https://twitter.com/switchroot_org
We'll have a Discord server too once the builds go public. A little more patience please.
Posted in the last couple of days by @switchroot_org
Welp, I sold my Switch, now I'll probably buy another Switch... Obviously getting the device stable is the priority at the moment, but I am still wondering if the overclocking feature will also be here for us as well? Since I can't imagine running 1ghz a57 on Android is that great
The remote playing is gonna be so interesting on this
Really, really looking forward to this. Amazing work, keep it up
Overclocking to 1.7GHz (which is actually normal clock really) will be supported. And we just fixed WiFi scanning so you can connect to WiFi normally instead of having to manually enter it.
Regarding remote play: GameStream should work out of the box, Steam Link has been successfully tested, so was Parsec. GeForce Now has an issue still that needs to be worked out so don't expect that in the first release I guess.
Netflix work in this port ?
Hey, sirocyl from switchroot here. One thing I need to make clear, in case you're wondering: Your Switch needs to have an "UNPATCHED" bootrom.
You can use this guide to identify Switches by serial number; if it's manufactured/purchased before approximately June/July 2018, it should be good - but the only way to make sure is by checking the serial!
https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-...he-first-post-before-asking-questions.481215/
As an owner of a vulnerable Nintendo Switch i'm really excited with the progress been made here, keep up the great work
Twrp and android are inside the microsd or emmc?
Fun times ?
It was only a matter of time. XDA never ceases to amaze me!
Everything is on the microSD. Don't wanna risk Nintendo bans although _in theory_ you could put it on eMMC. We'll never officially support that tho for obvious reasons.
Very interesting, looking forward to seeing how this pans out. Now can I find a switch that can be modded is the question??
Will there be a need for root? Like can you run this on a note 9 without root?

OOOOOOH
Thanks for clarifying!
Will we ever see a wired joycon solution, perhaps influenced by the Lakka port?
At the moment you can either have wired or bluetooth due to issues with the respecting drivers. If one is in, the other breaks (don't remember the exact order). It's not an immediate focus right now now. I'll think I poke around actual sleep support a little this weekend...
Will you give us an option to choose between wired or BT joycon support?
Or are you just staying with BT only, as this option can be used when docked and portable?
I'd personally prefer wired, as I only play in portable. But this is just me.
And one more question - Android will be installed to SD rather than eMMC, and I get it, this is much better overall.
But what about performance? SD card can be much slower than eMMC, should we expect any slowdowns or other issues?
I wanted to thank entire switchroot team and other people associated with this project for their hard work. Especially ByLaws. Guys, this is huge, this is something we need, we can't be grateful enogh. Cheers!
