Has anyone seen S View style cases that have a flip cover that is thin, but keeps the phone case itself thin?
I.E the leather does not wrap around the entire case
Every case I've found online that has a flip cover is absurdly thick.

Just picked up the note yesterday. Didn't get insurance on it so obviously I'm quite paranoid and can't afford to break it. At the same time though i don't want a huge bulky case. Id like a case that's thin and lightweight but will offer moderate protection if im careful with it. Suggestions?

You won't get drop protection with a thin case. Thin cases, like most of the hard surface ones, are more like scratches protection.
You could get TPU case, the real rubbery one, and not the hard one with rubberized surface. It will still be thin.
For best drop protection, you will need a thick one like Seidio or Otterbox (if they release one)

The SGP Ultrathin has fitment issues on the Note, enough to force me to return mine. Would rec avoiding it and going with the Elago Slim case as a super thin replacement.

Yeah i know i can't get anything crazy thin and have drop protection but i also don't want something completely huge. Maybe i will be ok with just a real thin one though if it has good grip and a bit of a lip on the front. Has anyone heard of broken screens yet? Or is it worth it to get otterbox/similar?

Do you know if the Note with the Elago case fits in the Stock car Dock?

Anyone know of a bumper that has foam protection on the inside? The more i use this phone he more i love it. Don't want to have to cover it up or add huge bulk. I would think a lightweight bumper with some internal padding would b awesome

Is the $45 one on Ebay the only one? Can't find them anywhere else.that's real expensive. Worth it?

This is the case I have and it is great. Not too thick and it has a great grip. It is TPU from BoxWave I like it a lot.

$15 cheaper and shipped out of Texas. I ordered mine last Sunday and it should be here (Arizona) Friday.

That seems inexpensive but do the screen protectors work with the I717?
I bought "Speck" case thru AT&T. Shiny plastic outside and rubber inside. Happy with it.
Screen protectors, got the zagg invisible shield from bestbuy. It feels rubbery and stylus having hard time gliding over it.
My suggestion: Do not buy ZAGG screen protector for Note.

After much deliberation I just bought a white sense ultra slim pouch.I think I'll like that as I it'll give it great protection and can still use the phone naked

I like this case. I have some questions for you. How do you like it? How do you attach the plastic outer piece once the the rubber liner is in place? Can you still remove the battery door while the bumper is on? Is there a lip on the front and the back to protect the screen and the camera? And it there room for a screen protector (like the Glas.t)? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

Plastic with a leather inner backing to resist scratching. It's not super protective but it's done my Galaxy Nexus well. I really don't like cases, but this one has been the exception.
I absolutely love the Ringke Slim. Had one for my SII also. It's perfect for me.

Hey guys,
Got my hands on the SGP Stehen leather case, which is a folio style case made from plastic and leather. This case features a leather flap for screen protection that can be turned into a viewing stand, which is fantastic. You'll get great protection from this one, since the leather and plastic combination is very shock absorbant.

You're welcome! Hope it helped out.
anyone have the incipio feather case? looking at getting this and just seeing if anyone has any complaints on it?
I have the Incipio feather shine in black. Its by far my favorite case that Ive bought so far for this phone. The fit is great as are the look and feel. Its not as slippery as my Ringke Slim case was either. I would recommend it.

Ordering it now, thanks!
How badly does this case attract lint? I see a lot of dual layer cases and stay away from them for this reason; they all seem to use super soft silicon that is a lint magnet. I am pretty picky too, I hate taking it out of my pocket and having it lined with lint.

I don't know about the feather, but I have the dual shine from incipio and it is horribly designed. I can't recommend it.
I have the body glove case from sprint. this is the best case by far, textured, matte back, so I'm not going to drop it. I had the flip case, but that was too much for me. I Also had a silicone case from Amazon, but that was too glossy and it was a fingerprint magnet.

Any cases out there that are a hard case with a rubber outer that fits tightly?
I've seen the multiple case thread review and most are just soft cases without built in screen protectors
Any particular cases like this?

I have this case: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/For-LG-E970-...pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20cf81c464&_uhb=1 and it's pretty much like an Otterbox Commuter. Outside plastic with rubber inside and also around the edges. It protects my phone decently and isn't that bulky.
There's also this case: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/for-LG-Optim...&var&hash=item1e772a2926&_uhb=1#ht_500wt_1156 which looks like a Defender, though I have not tried that case. As far as I've seen, there hasn't been any cases with built in screen protectors yet for the E970.

I know, and you're welcome. Check eBay for cases, there's some selection and they're not too expensive.
Maybe it's just me... But I found most cases to be very slippery on the sides. One week now and no problems.... Solution 3m anti sIip tape transparent. You can see from the side shot almost impossible to see the tape. Give great grip and adds no bulk etc.... If I had the nerve I would use it on the bare phone. It sticks on all the classes I have and does not collect dust.

I have this case and it's beautiful, thin and not slippery. Quicksand Case - Note 3
I got mine for $3 shipped and it's got a bit of bend to it so that it's durable. I highly recommend as a backup or even daily driver if you're into thin cases.

I have used this method on my s3 aluminum bumpers and it worked awesome but i used black floor traction tape cut into thin pieces to go around the edges
I'm just wondering, will the 3M tape leave a sticky residue if it is taken off?
