In case you want to go back to the original ROM or if you brick your phone you can just load this through ODIN and get it back to factory. It does not reset the flash counter.

Back to stock galaxy s2

Hello how i can back to stock my galaxy s2? i rooted and put checkrom works nice but i want to learn how get back to stock again im confused
I didnt wrote down the pda version and kernel before install checkrom and rooted what recommend me to do?
thanks.
Just flash official firmware package from Intratech's XDA firmware thread via Odin.
Use your Product Code (sometimes found on your box) on the Chek Fus Download website to find your original PDA etc (if you're not 100% sure) or search the first couple thread posts for match.
Follow his flash instructions and you're done

you can get your stock firmware from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
It also includes instructions of using odin and flashing the downloaded firmware .... if you are rooted take a nandroid backup every time you flash custom from stock ........ that ways you'll always have a backup of the stock firmware ......
Yep, my post is rather incomplete, forgot to add the link cheers

So I just came across this and got to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 however, I am SO lost. I don't know what firmware I'm supposed to download. Yes I'm a noob, but seriously trying to figure all of this out so help is greatly appreciated. OH and I'm trying to get back to stock in attempts to get CF root to hopefully get cyanogenmod to install rather than abort the installation.

Actually all the firmwares provided in the thread are stock ..........
If you are a Noob i would not recommend cyanogenmod though it is pretty good but i've heard it's for advanced users and stuff ........ why do you need to flash stock is my primary question ........... use this thread only http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
You need to update latest firmware for your region as a KIES update is there / on the way?
Find out the latest firmware for your region to flash via http://fus.nanzen.se/ it will provide you with the stock firmware your phone should have after selecting the specific region.
You need to update latest firmware irrespective of region (like Me)
Just download the latest firmware available in the 2nd or 3rd section of the thread. in this case 2.3.6 (KK2 or KK5).
In case of any more issues post back.
so I tried kk2 and kk5 and kk2 gave me no service, and kk5 failed to even install. I'm at a loss. I really want CF root, but can't install it on the stock eg30 that I've been using as my stock rom. SO what next? Any other way to figure out which stock firmware from that link will work for my phone?
hello???
Is there anyone who can help me figure this out?????

Maybe Bricked? Need stock firmware!

K so I spent hours and hours on end and can;t figure this out what so ever. I am ready to throw my phone at the wall and even my laptop.
So what the problem is.
I have a Galaxy S2 GT-i9100m and I have no idea what kernel I have and I now have the yellow triangle, but I can get into download mode.
So what do I need? I want this dam phone back to original stock firmware. Like brand new. No CF no Root. I have looked at the threads and all the dam links are dead and everything links back to them.
I have no idea what to do. Please help. Its a bell galaxy S2 GT-i9100m but its unlocked and its on rogers now...technicaly.
please help asap! thnx
Search Sammobile.com for stock firmware & follow whatever instructions they have for flashing firmware downloaded from their site.
Already been there and they dont have a stock firmware for the gs2 for US or Canada. Everything is jamaican and mexico etc.

Multiupload = broken. Has been for ages now :-|
Edit to add - OP, I have a 'solution' for you. It won't give you the original firmware which came with your phone. But if you find/download the PC version of Checkfus (search for it on here/Google), this will enable you to download the latest firmware available for your phone model/carrier/country you'd normally get from Kies.
I just checked Checkfus, it tells me the latest firmware for your model/carrier/country is: I9100MUGKG2/I9100MBMCKG2/I9100MUGKG2/I9100MUGKG2, which may well be the original firmware given it says it was released on 13/7/2011.

exactly all those links are dead. I would of done that myself if it was that easy.
So I got the proper download and loaded it with odin and so far it looked good, but now I got the bootoop. Followed the instructions up above in the forum and trying it again and soo far so good. we will see what happens.
But if I am correct I just uploaded to the phone the .tar file, what about the .pit, .css files that need to be uploaded too??
To the best of my knowledge everything is in the tarball with stuff downloaded via Checkfus. Like the firmwares Intra used to have in his thread.

Bootloop after doing flash?
Go into recovery mode, factory reset & clear cache... Fixed.
As for pit files, you shouldn't EVER be using them on the SGS2. (this is the case for my unbranded international GT-I9100 anyway)

[Q] 4.1.1 JB - UK Region yet? (official stock)

Anyone know if the 4.1 official stock firmware for the UK version is available yet? for the GT-I9300 (intl UK)
I am in need of making my phone look factory as my warranty needs a 30 day policy before it's active and I'm getting all the terms and conditions down, pat and locked before I screw up this phone.
If it's not available yet does anyone know where I can look, to find the PDA when it's available so I can flash it with Odin (I only know how to use Odin so preferably that) or is it recommended that I flash ICS then reset my binary and then update through Kies just so it looks more factory and if it's they can even tell that.
(XDA Noob here, sorry for these silly questions)

Have rooted S2 with custom ROM. Want to go stock.

Hi all,
I am selling my S2, and would like to a) get rid of the triangle, and b) go back to a stock rom. Is this a simple process, and maybe there's a guide?
I am downloading I9100XWLPW_I9100XSALP6_XSA.zip | 695.6 MB – is that an OK file?
I am also downloading GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEUPL5.7z
Which would be better?
I'm in Australia, but it was a UK sourced, unlocked phone to begin with.
extract and flash using Odin 1900XWLP7 rom to go back to stock and then use trianle away which could be found in this forum to reset the counter.
after flashing and using triangle away, do not forget to go recovery and wipe the cache, go to advance and wipe daavik cache and do a factory reset to remove all personal information and apps.
thread for triangle away.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
LOL if you flash official firmware you wont get triangle RTFM.
Flash XWLP7, turn on phone, in phone *2767*3855# and profit.
You need to flash PDA, PHONE, CSC your data will reset automatically.

I am rid of triangle, thanks to dongle method. Now, to find out where to get XWLP7 from...
Or is that "GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEUPL5.7z" that I have already downloaded?
I am going to us Mobile Odin, which I think takes the full package (Modem.. etc)
You will lose your triangle if you flash stock.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Thanks. Triangle is gone now...
Just trying to find right package.
Is GT-I9100_XEU_I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XEUPL5.7z the right thing? Would that contain kernel, modem etc?
In there is a tar.md5 file, which has a whole lot of files.

I bought it from Handtek, so.. not sure what it had. Was shipped to Australia and has been working on the Telstra network. And it's being sold in Australia.

Let me know if u need the files i can upload them for u , or u can go to http://fus.nanzen.se/ and download Check Fus Downloader 2.1. and download the file for yourself directly from Samsung`s servers
Would be great if you send me a link to them...
What is a enc2 extension?
Isn't it tar?
Sounds like GT-I9100LKJXSA is best if it's unbranded. Allowing the buyer to have bloat free and unlocked phone.
Edit: Actually, found a link here:
http://www.droidevelopers.com/f364/...gt-i9100-4-0-4-ice-cream-sandwich-update.html
Will grab.

This link is for the S3 but flashing with Odin is the same as with the s2. I link you to this as its a good guide but do remember that's it's for the S3 so don't be silly and flash i9300 firmware on you're i9100. Hope you understand if not tell me and i'll delete the link. Read it and understand what you need to do before you flash with Odin.
Reading is easy, fixing is not. :screwy:

But i can't see the option of choosing carrier

If you're planning on rooting and installing a custom ROM again you may as well just go with the Vodaphone one then go from there. I do have a copy of the unbranded one (can't remember where from) so it is out there if you really need it, only downloaded it last week.
I rooted using Philz kernel, if you search XDA for that you will find the info on how to do it and it seemed the easiest way to go...
