[ROM+Kernel][3.6|4.2][2.3.7][Discontinued] FloydOS - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

I dont provide any more support for this project.
I'm quitting projects for concentrating on new ones.
This one is unsupported and won't be updated.

FloydOS - A smooth combination of ROM and Kernel

Hello XDA
The main goal of FloydOS is to have a smooth, lightweight and hardware-adjusted AndroidROM, so the OS stands in the background, and you can run on it what you want!
Actuaylly FloydOS isn't completely finished and not made for daily use.
If you want to test the OS, just PM me or send me an email: androthan[at]gmail[dot]com .
Here is a little overview (not complete):
Features
- Overclocking to 1.1 Ghz (We will go higher!)
- Many new governors (smartass, smartass2, smothass, powersave,...) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663809
- Using the capacitive buttons as notification leds
- Undervolting CPU
- Extendend battery life
- Optimized and more user-friendly recovery system (based on CWM 5.0)
- Optimized scrolling
- and all the good features from Android Gingerbread and CyanogenMod 7.2 !
Not working
- Internal storage (still fixing that, it's very difficult!)
- Camera
- FM Radio
- Some apps can't use the microphone

Bugs in YP-GI1:
-> Display brightness adjustment
-> Wifi
-> Audio
-> Internal storage ( OP )
-> Spirit FM ( OP)
-> Camera ( OP )
-> Capacitive buttons' backlight
-> Deep sleep
Overclock works fine, and basically everything else. Also, I'm unable to restore a backup made with zaclimon's CWM with the new recovery. I don' know of that's normal, or a bug.

can confirm this, also deep sleep is broken too.
but audio over bluetooth works! :good::laugh:

Ok, I tested this ROM for 2 days on the 3.6; the only non-mentioned bug i found is in the recovery: factory reset doesn't work, after flashing this ROM. Games run smoothly (i didn't test heavy games, cause they need space on the SD) and battery seems to be a little better than in stock rom. But i have some suggestion: i would remove all the RIL-related section and apps and change launcher, 'cause ADW is so laggy.. anyway, nice rom

This is an odd request due to the fact that the 5.0 has CM 11.0 already created. I recommend that. and also, this is a warning for everyone who is wondering a similar question, DO NOT TRY FLASHING THIS ON A 4.0 OR 5.0 PLAYER OR YOU WILL BRICK IT. I am not saying you shouldn't put it on 3.6 or 4.2 player, it is made for those devices.

@Androthan people can probably get the fm radio working if they use spiritfm (link below). I dont know for sure but the reason i am suggesting it is because @zaclimon recommends it for the 4.0 users to use in order to listen to the fm radio on their devices so it might work on the 3.6 and 4.2.

can this procedure help you for fix the internal storage?
So to mount Internal SD card to /mnt/sdcard and External SD card to /mnt/sdcard/external_sd as it is done on Stock ROMs proceed with the following:
1 - Open the file /etc/vold.fstab with your preferred text editor (I use root Explorer) and find and modify the last lines as below an then save:
# internal sdcard
dev_mount emmc /mnt/sdcard 28 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.1/mmc_host/mmc0/mmc0
# external sdcard
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard/external_sd auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.3/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2
# otg sdcard
usb_mount sdcard2 /mnt/sdcard/usbStorage auto /devices/platform/msm_hsusb_host.0
#end line
2 - Open the file /system/build.prop with your preferred text editor and find and modify the following lines as it is show an then save:
# notify vold we have internal and external sd
ro.additionalmounts=/mnt/sdcard/external_sd
ro.vold.switchablepair=/mnt/sdcard/external_sd,/mnt/sdcard
3 - Reboot the phone and voilá
