updating hboot - HTC Droid DNA

I'm on the 1.33 hboot and I just installed the stock rooted 4.4.2 Rom. So far everything seems to work. Do I need to update the hboot? if so, which one? Thanks.

[Q] S-OFF method for 1.53.0007 with ICS rom

hi guys...
basically i had once bootlooped my evo3d and to solve that, i relocked the hboot and reflash using ICS RUU which upgraded my hboot to 1.53.0007... (i just realized it now when i want to downgrade my hboot...)
now my htc is unlocked, rooted, using 4ext recovery, run on mwakious v11.5 with 3.28.707.1 and still s-on...
i have read some tutorials for downgrading 1.53 hboot, however all tutorials tells me to flash the leedroid custom rom first...
is it possible to downgrade my htc with current condition (mwakious ICS rom) following the wiretrick method???
must i flash the gingerbread rom???
thanks before for the answer...

If you have a gsm phone, u can update via ota to get the latest hboot and firmware, unlock it via htcdev method if required, and then flash a custom rom for example Cool-ICS. It is okay to remain s-on even this way. It is not necessary to update ota as you can also get the zip files for the updates and install it according to a custom rom's requirement.
Cheers.

As someone has asked, are you GSM or CDMA?
You state you have not updated firmware, but are running infected rom, so I am guessing you are referring to having not updated the kernel.
Do you have a recovery like TWRP or EXT4 loaded?
If so are you comfortable with how to flash a rom from the recovery console?

If you really want to install stock ICS RUU, you'll have to downgrade your hboot first (only possible after S-OFF). Easier would be to install an ICS custom ROM and kernel without changing the bootloader.
Is there any tutorial for downgrading and s-off procedure?
Please give me a link if u know of any.
Take a look here... Shouldn't have been hard to find with search...

[Q] Update from stock 4.1.2 to custom 4.4.2 ROM and latest radio

I have been doing a lot of searching and reading for a while now and have been unable to find the answers to this..
I have an unlocked, rooted HTC One M7_UL (AT&T) with:
stock Android 4.1.2,
Sense 5.0,
TWRP 2.7.0.0,
S-ON,
software number 1.26.502.12,
radio 4A.14.3250.13,
baseband 4A.14.3250.13_10.331150.01L
HBOOT 1.44
I want to update it to the latest Android Revolution HD (71.1?) Android 4.4.2 and the latest radio.
Is "radio", "firmware", and "baseband" all the same thing? Seems like I see them used interchangeably..
What are the steps to get there? Do I just flash the ARHD ROM and then the radio?
Do I need S-OFF to flash the radio? Some places said yes, some said no.
Do I need to go to a stock 4.4.2 ROM first then to ARHD?
Also, I've seen "kernels" such as ElementalX and Bulletproof. But I think these can be flashed anytime, correct?
Thanks.

By "firmware" do you mean 4.1.2, 4.3, 4.4.3, etc.? Some places seem to call the "radio" the "firmware"...
So can I flash the "stock" that is on this page (android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html) and then ARHD?
Is there a reason you can't flash straight to a custom ROM from stock?

Their is a no. of dependencies are full firmware flash upgrades like in htc - system, hboot, radio which are needed by the rom to work that is why I suggest full RUU/Firmware flash instead of just updating the required manually

Okay. thanks. I'm still S-ON. Do I need to get S-OFF using Revone to lock the bootloader? Then go back to S-ON and use the RUU to
get back full stock? Then update to stock 4.4.3?

Nope, the RUU will update all of those (firmware, stock ROM, etc.). RUU is a complete factory image.
You do need to relock the bootloader if you are s-on, in order to RUU (not required for s-off).
Also, the RUU will wipe the phone, so backup any personal data you want to keep before RUU.
is ruu updating radio or baseband too?
im on MTN and i scare new baseband dosent work on my carrier...
tnx to help

Yes, RUU will install new radio baseband. As I mentioned, RUU is a complete factory image.

Did you s-off and flash a different radio? Or using a stock AT&T radio?
If you flashed a different (non-AT&T) radio, you can always do so again after RUU.
