I have a specific situation, i flashed my Sprint Note 3 from Sprint to STraight TAlk. i need to root it now so i can have more control.
i heard about the CF root file thing, but im afraid rooting my phone will hurt the flash and leave me without service.
please, i implore for help
im not a dummy, but im not knoledgeble in rooting the note 3 and getting scared it will ruin my carrier CDMA flash.
please help, any help, any aim, any direction

Hello everyone, im new here and I really got Intrigue in this ROOT thing. I'm suddenly interested in rooting my s4 i9505,which is just 2 months old,thats why I'm doubtful of rooting my phone because maybe it will get brick or i regret rooting it or anything , i just need quick questions to be answered, I already have little knowledge about rooting a phone, but here a my quick questions.
1)can I still like download from play store,when I root my phone?
2)what are it's advantage?
3)do i still get updates from the manufacturer when i root my phone? "ex, Phone updates,google, etc."
3.1)If i don't get any updates anymore,do I need to update my phone manually or by myself?
4)If do I root of my phone now, what are the chances that there will be problems?

2 so many do a search
3 no you cant update your phone if it is rooted
3.1 but you can update it by unrooting it temporarily using an app superuser
4 1 rooting will void your warranty
2 do it as clear as per the instructions for rooting else you will soft brick your phone you can unbrick that but take precautions
that's all take a risk friend
Alright, ladies and gentleman, I have an issue that most of you will know way better then me how to fix because I have not a clue.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 that I would like to use a local SIM card in for international use, however I have run into the issue of it not being able to work and I'm told its because I need to upgrade Android. I'm running 4.0.4 and it is rooted. I guess I need the latest update... However I'm deployed to Afghanistan so using data is out, and the internet is very spotty. So my question would be, what is the best way to go about updating? and would that solve my issue? Also, will I have to unroot to upgrade, and how do I get root back?

Just got a Galaxy S4 from Verizon with the evil 4.3 update & I want to root the heck out of it, but when I follow all the instructions to the letter, absolutely NOTHING works...no SuperSU, no terminal commands, nothing...this is very tedious and rage inducing.and I also would like to know if it's possible to downgrade back to 4.2. Really not liking 4.3...stupid Knox...
ANY help put into layman's terms would be greatly appreciated.

No, of course it's not possible to downgrade. Please learn what you're doing before you brick your phone.

After that, post DETAILS about what you tried and why it didn't work. You didn't tell us what model phone you have, what build it's on, what you tried to use to root it, what you observed, etc. How is it possible for anyone to help you?

Any of the Verizon apps, sdm.apk (so phone won't update), aether pal .apk it allows Verizon remote control of your phone, callid or w/e it's called, cityid anything you won't use.

So I've looked at a bunch of how to videos, and guides, I've tried Towelroot, and GhettoRoot. I've spent hours attempting to root this PoS. I'm at my wit's end to be completely honest. So I decided to come here hoping to get some help. What do I need to do to root this unholy God forsaken device? I'm running OS 4.4.2, on Verizon. It's the i605 model. Can anyone help before I lose what little sanity I have left?

Anybody Find a way to become the super user specifically for ZTE Max Duo LTE on straight talk? Model number Z963vl? The one clicks don't work. Im too nervous to do it manually ( I have the right drivers on my PC, I do belief) because I can't find anyone else who has tried it for this specific phone. I asked for help once and got send a link to another thread for ZTE phones. It was a very good guide but wouldn't help for my phone. I don't know if its because its this type of device or my intelligence level. Any help for this specific device would be great!! please be nice.:crying::crying:

Same problem here. I should be able to brick this $200 Walmart purchase if I so choose. There is a thunderous silence on the internet regarding this thing (Z962BL) and being able do what I want. I'm in the same boat as you guys I can get kingroot to work till reboot the no root but after I install and run king root I can use root apps like titanium backup and cmp toolbox but no permanent root any ideas guys please help I'm sorry to ask but I'm lost and so frustrated not everyone can spend 500 bucks on a premium phone so for the poor guys and gals as well as the people who didn't have the chance to go to school and learn how to program someone take some pitty on us and help thanks and sorry for the rant
