thanks for the help
Hy I'm new on this device and I know you will blame me that I didn't searched for my problem first, but I found different things that I don't really understand.
I've found an update package for odin which had a PIT file so I thought that I have to click re partition, but godamn I shouldn't :|; I can enter in dowload mode and recovery mode, so I think it's not hardbricked isnt't it? What shall I do?
Thanks in advice and sorry again.
One hour later )
solved the problem I just had to wipe data...
Hello,
Yesterday, when trying to create a backup of my current ROM (original, factory ROM) it seems that after the backup process was finished, when I tried to reboot my phone it would go directly into cwm recovery instead of starting up normally. This happens every time I try to reboot the phone. I have a Samsung Exhibit sgh-t599n (metro pcs).
Other things that may be revelant to my problem: the backup was not successful (there was a message saying something about an image not being copied). Also, in the cwm recovery menu there is a warning that says "No file_contexts".
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
Thank you

Can you boot into download mode? If so try using odin to reflash the recovery.

I rooted my phone using Impactor. The recovery (cwm) was installed by using Odin (going into download mode and using Oding to download cwm into my phone).
Thanks

Okay so you do know how to get into Odin. Try flashing a different custom recovery. Also make sure the one you are using is made for your device. There aren't any recoveries that are universal with 1 file. Just make sure the one you are using is for your phone!

But in order to reflash do I have to take the same steps that I took for flashing cwm or do I have to do something different (delete cache, reformat phone, etc.). Sorry for the insistence.

I don't do much with odin since i dont ever have any issues with my recovery but all you should have to do is install the recovery just like you did the first time. Also if you are following a guide to do this make sure you are checking the right options!
Also not all odins are compatible with all devices. Make sure the odin you are using is for your device!

I tried reflashing cwm (one compatible with my phone) by using odin (also compatible), but the phone keeps booting to cwm recovery every time I turn it on/reboot. Any other suggestions?

Use usb mass storage to mount your Sd card to your computer and transfer either a stock ROM or a custom ROM to your device. Flash it and let me know what happens.

What do I need to mount the sd card to my pc?
Thank you for your help and apologies for bothering you so much.
-I was able to flash a custom ROM (compatible, PAC rom); however, the problem persists. Every time I boot the phone it takes me directly to cwm recovery.
I was able to find these instructions (thanks to thereal_big jake from androidarea51.com) for solving a problem very similar to mine:
1.Flash Stock Recovery in Odin Link
2. Factory Reset in Stock Recovery
3. Flash CWM in Odin
4. Now Flash your Rom or Backup
5. Reboot
Could somebody explain how to flash the stock recovery with odin in my phone (samsung exhibit sgh t599n).
Thanks

Oh i see your complete issue now. Just grab the stock recovery .tar and flash it in odin just like you did the custom recovery. Factory reset and you should be good to go.

I attempted to get CWM by going into recovery mode and applying update to sd card. Everything seemed fine, but when I put it on, it was stuck on loading screen and when I put it off, 5 seconds later it turns itself on again! But i can still enter recovery mode. Help me!!!!! :crying:

I think there might be some problem with your installation of CWM. It could have been a corrupted package. Anyway you can get out of the bootloop by flashing the stock rom using odin. You can then install a working CWM later from the recovery mod. Do post your result. Hope I helped : )

Try Wipe Data/ Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition from CWM and then reboot. If you still have this problem, then reflashing the stock rom using odin will be your only solution. Try to get a USB cable from your friend or even better buy one because you might need it more times than you can imagine. Do post your results. Hope I Helped

More details will be helpful for troubleshooting.
What build version were you on before the issue?
What caused the issue?
Which stock rom did you flash?
Were there any errors with Odin?
Which version of Odin?
Which PIT file? (and that's usually not a recommended way to fix a soft brick by the way...)
Which CWM?
Did you do a factory data reset after the stock rom flash through Odin?
Did you do a factory data reset after install CWM?
Can you see the files on your storage of the device in CWM?
Have you tried to install a custom rom?
here the answers for that
