Wireless charging question - Galaxy Note 3 Accessories

Not sure if i should posted this into the wireless charging thread but here's my problem. I just pulled the trigger for a wireless charging kit and ordered a generic acceptor and a TYLT receiver. I love it but my charge keeps turning on and off... I doubt that its the TYLT and curious if anyone has had this issue.
If it is in-fact the acceptor, what is the best one without having to change the rear cover. I want to keep my case.

I would guess it is the acceptor as I have a tylt and had an original Sammy wireless back which worked nice. I am now looking for a an acceptor as I want to have the original back with nfc.

I hear ya. I don't use NFC whatsoever but its the rear cover that I want to keep for my case.
I just bought a Nillkin qi acceptor. Seems like it does what its supposed to do.
I just realized that my output is 1000mA when all the other ones i see are 600mA. Could that be the reason why it cycles like that?

Do you mean the output of tylt if so I am pretty sure it is not the case. As in electronics you it only consumes what it wants And the rest is dissipated as heat. If it is the converse then it just charges slowly.

Finally found a good car charger

Couldn't find where anyone posted this, especially since search is broken right now.
I have been searching for a good car charger, and have tested several from Monoprice, which ALL eventually quit charging. Finally found this car charger that works perfectly. It is the only charger (that I have used) that can charge my phone faster than the Waze app can drain it. Excellent quality quick charger for $5. I believe it is rated at 950mA. The others were rated at 1A, but evidently that wasn't really the case.
In case the link doesn't work, it is the Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter micro-USB Rapid Rate Charger for $5.06 with free shipping at Amazon.

FYI - The charging cable is attached, so it is not a removable micro USB cable. Surely you can tell that from the picture. The clear plastic Motorola emblem glows blue when plugged in, which I thought looked cool (or, "looked chill" for you kiddos ).

I have one works great.
That is a very widely used car charger and pretty well loved. Personally I use a http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10826&cs_id=1082603&p_id=8858&seq=1&format=2 with a USB cable. Have never had any issues with it dying or failing. It also barely sticks out of my cigarette lighter. Any all in one plug I've ever used has always had a lot of bulk.
I use the Zagg Sparq. In the car and work and such. Little pricey but it's got a lifetime warranty.

This is the charger I use also. It works great. What I found is that this charger charges at about the same rate as the supplied HTC AC charger. I've found that anything under approx 850mah takes forever to charge.
You can't go wrong with this charger!

A friend recommended this one to me and we love ours!
I ordered the same charger a few weeks ago and it's flawless. I would definitely recommend it.

The monoprice one has the highest output so it'll probably charge the fastest.
I just bought one of these on ebay for $1.50 direct from China (it's the exact same one)

It's a 1amp output which is still higher than the moto one.
Right on. Thanks for posting. I've never 'needed' a car charger, but I've wished I had one, on occasion. So, at this price ... why not?
Thanks OP, Google Maps was winning while charging via car charger on the way to Key West last week. Quite frustrating. This is the perfect solution at an outstanding price!

I suggest people buy it directly from amazon instead of other merchants because there are knockoffs out there.

Iv'e had a Palm Pre car charger for a few years now, no complaints.
I can't find anywhere to confirm this but i believe it charges at 1 amp.

if you want a good charger, you should search not only 1A constantly, for example, i use a RadioShack CLA to Dual USB 2.5A Port (Enercell Brand, SKU: 270-057) and i luv it! i used a lot igo CLA but the but was only 850mAh. Now iGo have new CLA with Dual-USB with 2.1A rated (Called MicroJuice) i tested and is very good.

While we were on our way to key west last week also, we killed 2 count them 2 of the griffin 2 port stubby ones. They worked at first, then died. Heat probably an exascerbating issue in that case as we were in a miata with the top down and the sun on that all black interior for 8 hours. Also, had both my phone with nav and ambling books and bluetooth, and my gf's iphone 4 and her taking pics non stop haha.
Anyways I found at radio shack a stubby iGo 2 port 2.1 amp that worked without a problem the rest of the vacation doing the same heavy load in the same heat for untold hours from key west to ocala on the way back to my parents place at the end. It was more like $30 than $3 though!

Wireless charging Receivers

Anybody see any wireless charging receivers yet? like the patch one? I am not sure I feel like adding the bulk of the full back plate to the phone. I have never tried these and wonder if the work as well.

Samsung is rolling out a wireless charger for the note 3, you would only have to change the back cover of the phone with one that supports wireless charging.

I have purchased from TigerDirect - many years ago - and they were reliable then. I presume the same is true now... They are I the US and have been in business a long time... I just ordered two charging docks from them.
Note: I have already ordered the wireless charging back cover from Verizon because I actually prefer OEM products and wanted to make sure it was from Verizon as I have the Verizon phone so I know it will be true OEM and work flawlessly...

[Q] Few s4 accessory questions

Got a few questions about accessories for this bad boy. 1st one is, will the s view case or otterbox defender/commuter work with wireless charging? 2nd being, could someone recommend wireless charging stuff if it does work. Last question is, where does everyone get their car chargers at off the net, that actually doesn't take 30 hours to charge it.

I don't know anything about wireless charging for this phone, since it's only capable of 1amp it's half as fast as the stock charger. I get my car chargers off Amazon, just look for one that is 2 or 2.1amp, that's as fast as this phone can charge. Anker sells a cheap, reliable 2amp dual-usb car charger.

G3 wireless charging, any solutions?

So, part of the reason i bought this phone was the built in wireless charging. Well it was a big surprise to me [emoji30]when i got my new Qi charger today, and it wouldn't work. I never thought that it wouldn't be built into the battery cover.
So has anyone found a inexpensive, not the ebay 120.00 battery cover, way to add the charging into backs that came with our phones?
You can get the Verizon Wireless Charging Circle case for 59.99
Well, looking for a replacement back or just the qi receiver sticker, I'm not a fan of the flip cases.

I feel the same way. I don't want the circle case, but i really want Qi charging. I guess we will have to wait for them to release a Qi charging backplate only.
Guess this is what i get for getting a phone on day 1 that it's available. I just wish that they would have come out of the box ready to go. Wondering if we can modify one of the adapters from another model phone to work temporarily?

I'm thinking with minimal tweaking this could be made to work.

How does it interface with the phone (both this pad and the G3)? Does it have pins on the case and battery cover?
Yes there are 4 pins on the phone case that should connect to the battery door, but only the two for nfc are being used. My thought, i could easily make an adapter to connect if needed. Minimal soldering to the temp receiver coil.

Are all Qi charging stickers made the same?

As we all know, the LG V10 is an amazing device. One that does not have wireless charging out of the box. I have seen cars starting to integrate wireless charging into their cabins so I'm baffled why a lot of devices are not Qi charging capable as a standard. That's neither here nor there.
I had a G3 that I had gotten a wireless charging back for and I loved it. I also ordered one from Amazon for my V10 but it didn't clip on correctly so I sent it back. I then found the sticker on Wish (www.wish.com) for $4 including the $1 shipping. I thought this was a great deal. I removed the original NFC sticker and affixed the Qi/NFC sticker promptly on its arrival. The problem is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will be on the base overnight and will charge from 15% to 30%. Sometimes it refuses to connect. I even tried the Samsung Quick Qi charger at the Verizon store with no success. The other night I had placed it on the base and it connected and shortly after it started playing music from the the LG music app.
My question is are all the stickers basically the same or does the name and price suggest the quality? What about charging bases? I'm hesitant to say that it is the base. I am also very picky as to which style I'd like vs cost. I will include the Amazon listing of the one I use.

Dont do it, I've tried several sticker/Qi combos and it just drains the battery. Really fast.
I've already done it. LoL! It works sometimes. That's the problem. When it connects, it's great.

I've never found wireless charging to be stellar. In fact, more often than not the time required to recharge isn't worth it. I just stick with a rapid charger. :/ I would love to see some reliable rapid wireless charging some day.
I know people at a Verizon store and they gave me another stock battery cover. I am no longer using the wireless charging. It's convenient for night time. While I'm asleep. No big. I can live without it.
