Frequencies set by Aroma installer are hardcoded, and can not be changed unless you re-flash the kernel.
To use the MotionLaunchGestures you must install xposed framework. use sense six toolbox or other gesture module to set the desired gestures. Make sure to soft reboot the phone once you're done.
When setting up your wake gestures please note that logo=home button. Since we don't have the logo area, gestures uses the home button instead. I have mine set to long press home for flashlight.
Stock+ version is a lighter cleaner version of the kernel for non-power users that won't Overclock or undervolt the CPU.

I'm having the same touchscreen sensitivity issue reported by myself and two other users so far on the 4.4.2 kernel in Santod's thread:
pyroguysf said:
What happened to touch sensitivity? I have to smash the screen to get it to register any touch and half the time it still doesn't even respond, so this is completely unusable for me. I've tried the stock ROM [Santod] posted with it's included kernel, and I've tried all 3 posted versions of NuKernel on the stock ROM, NuSense, and UnSense with the same results, all clean flashes. Any other kernel + ROM works perfectly fine (Sense or AOSP).
Something's definitely screwed up in the kernel, but since you've kept it stock that means it's probably a bug directly from HTC? I really don't want to go all the way back to S-On/locked to be completely sure though. Any ideas, or anyone else experiencing this?

Been waiting for this update for months, and it's broken to the point of unusable Going to try HTC support now, but thought I'd mention it.
Just strange that it doesn't affect me at all. Bad to the point of being unusable? Works fine for me.....

Thanks for the Kernel! I just installed on Stock 4.4.2 after wipe dalvik.
Zero issues here work fine.:good: question how to enable DoubleTap2Wake.
I installed trickster Mod but I cant find it.

@iHateWebOS if you are the beast mode s2w files you should be able to use my aroma installer build tools from my git unless you already are
Naw it was the wrong upload, link in OP now points to correct download. I'm using anykernel right now, but I'm about to switch to your build tools for my next update.
I'll put link here to for the lazy ones.

Due to my upload mistake i learned something about your issue. The kernel you flashed was a test kernel that contained only two changes. Over clock and voltage control. Neither of those changes would affect touch sensitivity, so in essence you flashed the stock kernel as it was released by HTC. I even used the same toolchain they used to compile. Your Problems are either a stock behavior, or hardware failure.

I tried flashing this twice on unsense six and I got bootloops both times on the white HTC quietly brilliant screen. It didn't even make it to the boot animation. Before that I was ruining the new nukernel. Both times I was using fresh downloads of dna-ihate-428, both md5 checked. I would love to help but can I even pull a last kmesg when it bootloops that early?

That's strange I just downloaded from the link in the OP and flashed this to santod sense six ROM and didn't bootloop
Edit: maybe your phone doesn't like the OC I'll make a revision so it boots at 1512 instead if 1728. Most phones should have no problems with a small OC like this. Maybe your slow binned?

I'll pick that in the am tomorrow, I seen those a while back, but it's kind of a dirty hack and wasn't really needed sense sensitivity was fine on ported kernel. Still really strange that my sensitivity seems un changed by the new source. I'm trying to dig to find what changes HTC could have made to cause this and I'm coming up with nothing.

Yeah, I agree it's definitely a hack. I don't know what's different either... Synsptics_3200.c seems largely unchanged.

Could something in the kernel cause the hardware for the proximity/light sensor to fail? I know my sensor is broken but I'm just wondering if it was when I changed my screen or if something in the kernel itself broke something hardware related in my phone cause it's almost like it's reversed or something now. I am awaiting a new flex cable so hopefully that should fix it I'm just curious if that's possible

No no no, its because of the way the Links were done, I just linked it to my folder on androidfilehost.com to fix the problem instead of directly to the rom.
Linking directly to whatever the download is makes you wait like 5 seconds and it just shows ads during that time, the link does appear but after those five seconds. Its cool now though since its linked to my folder instead.

I've disabled all other languages except for English and Spanish. You can enable whatever you need. Just look at the default.xml that is in system/customize/CID. You'll have to compare to a stock rom with all the languages still enabled to see what to add back. Have fun with it, you can learn a lot here

One thing is for sure, comments and feedback will inspire me to do more, bigger and better things too. Which reminds me, I need to go update TwiZted SenZes ICS.

CDMA/GSM ION ANDROID-4.3 CM-10.2 AOSP MAXIMIZED
What sets this particular rom apart from a standard CM-10.2 rom?
See Below:
*Built using my newly created GCC Freedom method which does the following at source level:
-Builds the kernel 100% with SaberMod's 4.8 optimized GCC
-Builds the rom 100% with SaberMod's 4.9 optimized GCC
-Builds the rom and kernel with -Os compiler flags for cleaner code, better memory, and longer battery
-Builds the rom and kernel with a full strict aliasing method set to error at "3" to optimize the entire build source
*linaro patches to improve performance and cleaner code
*Several cherry-picks for memory leaks
*Option to pay through the app store via billing your wireless account (if your account is provisioned)
*Debloated further than a stock rom
*Battery Bar option added
*Copy and Paste ability in GTalk (for those who revert back from Hangouts)
*Entropy Generator Mod for massive lag reduction and massively improved system response time! (Thanks lambgx02, Ryuinferno, and pepoluan!) (Please allow a few minutes for the rom to settle on first boot and allow first time application launches the time to cache. Rom is Incredibly quick with this mod)
*Supercharged with the Supercharger mod
*Maximum Overdrive Multitasking Mod
*Framework Speed Transition mods (Thanks Snuzzo)
*Option to automatically connect to a remembered wifi location
*Ability to configure the delay for snoozing calendar reminders.( This allows both configuring the default snooze delay as well as ask for the delay whenever snoozing a reminder.)
*PowerUsage: show more apps with a more accurate percentage in battery info( - Increases the maximum displayed items from 10 to 20. - Make visible items with lower usage percentage (from 1 to 0.1) - Display two significant values (84%, 2.6%, 0.32%)
*GPS connectivity mod for improved “lock”
*Reduced City and Weather Condition font by 2sp to avoid ending dots for long city names in Cronus.
*init.d tweaks for battery and performance
*SEVERAL NEW Build.prop tweaks for optimized battery performance, internet speed, and system speed.
*LMT Launcher for a greater PIE Experience (Print Screen below demonstrating)
*My own unique modifications to improve overall performance
*New assortment of ringtones, notification tones, and alarms.
*Hot new boot animation
WHAT DOESN'T WORK/WORK RIGHT
-You tell me?
***NOTE*** If this is your first time coming to an AOSP Rom and you are S-ON, you will need to extract the boot.img and fastboot flash it in hboot after the rom flash.
An inverted version of this rom coming soon..
International users and those in need of a foreign pack, the files you need are flashable and located in the downloads section of Post #2 (shortly)
Enjoy the rom!

You are welcome! I actually don't even own this device. My good buddy SynisterWolf had his HTC Rezound destroyed and so he received a Fireball in it's place. In an effort to allow him to continue enjoying my work, I decided to build for you guys
So I honestly can't answer your question about flickering. Flash it and let me know! A clean flash coming from anything is required. Make sure you use the included kernel and not any other as well (Although other kernels may work).
EDIT: Wolf says he hasn't seen any flickering
From my understanding you will get the flicker here as well seeing as it is built off of cm. But I could be wrong
I personally haven't had flicker either. Seriously is ridiculously fast thou so smooth

For certain fireballs.... Not all were affected. Like our rezound and different rev's, same here but they haven't nailed down differences and why

ION works on our phone. this isnt an ion build?
if you used CyanogenMod/android_kernel_htc_msm8960 then it already has ion config
TARGET_USES_ION := true
BOARD_EGL_CFG := device/htc/msm8960-common/configs/egl.cfg

Hah! Well then.. It's ION
OK so after really I mean really looking at the screen( its my fiancés) I do see a little flicker I was expecting something drastic. I'm new to the phone so wasn't sure what people were talking about

The flicker is still present. I've been running the build for about an hour and there is quite a lot of flicker. Darien if you've never experienced it, you should know that it intensifies over time and its more noticeable with higher brightness and on certain colors like light grays (like when you go to type a URL into chrome)
And like previously mentioned it does not affect all phones for some reason. But if it does affect you, you will know. It becomes extremely intensive after a while.

NOTICE: First, this is ALL ptmr3's ROM. He and his crew made all the modifications you find in rom. This is his hard work. Anything you find in this ROM that is fancy (other than the kernel) you should thank HIM for. Now then..
Y u steel ptmr3's work?
I didn't. At best I forked it, or kanged it, at worst I dismembered it. This ROM can be considered Padawan ultra fat free lite. I've removed EVERYTHING I don't considered necessary. The key being what *I* don't need. You'll notice this gutting when you download it. This ROM is roughly 400mb (or 50%) smaller than Padawan-proper. I did this in an attempt to speed everything up. Upon first boot, you should find the ROM only using 376mb of RAM. The screenshot above is your app drawer upon install. If you don't see it listed there, it's not installed. My belief is that a user should get the honor of slowing down their device with their own crap.
Things Removed
VPN
NFC
Stupid AT&T Stuff
Collection of tools that "speed" things up
All aroma options
All Samsung apps (including Snote, Smemo, SVoice, Swhatever)
Customization Tools (PerAppDPI, The Icon thing, XPosed Framework, etc)
Additions
Da_G's overclocked (1.8ghz) kernel
Fastcharge Script (currently broken, but when Da_G fixes, just flash the new kernel, the script is in place)
Android 4.3 font set to default system font
Download / Directions
Download the ROM
Wipe all your stuff that you think you should wipe.
Flash it.
Tell me what I broke, and if I don't agree with you, I'll try to figure out what I removed that broke a real feature.
Addon Packages
I don't recommend installing these unless you need them. This rom is, imo, the fastest stock JB experience you can find on i717. The more of the "crap" you put back on it, the more you're going to adversely affect that claim.
1. NFC
2. SMemo/SNote
3. Fuze Kernel
4. Stock Touchwiz 4.1.2 Kernel
5. MorePower 0.4 (default) Kernel
Credits/Thanks
ptmr3 - He's not just a good dev, he's a generally good guy.
Da_G - The kernel goodness.
shane & zack - For entertaining me while flashing ROMs every 7.3 minutes.
Had to wait till now to release this lol, just installed Padawan this morning. Downloading this now. Thanks.
EDIT: Runs very well, only thing I missed was the default email app, but I just downloaded the yahoo email app and all is great.
Thanks again!
Well Hello there. Busy Friday Anthony? :highfive:
EDIT: On initial run through, this thing is blazing. Which can be expected, but even clocked down back down to 1.5ghz ( I don't overclock up to 1.8 ghz) and running conservative governor , this ROM is still super fluid. Idk if its placebo, but the speed difference is noticeable by a lot.

I'm fast becoming a fan of your work man. Downloading now! i'm currently using your CM9 - Jelly mash up, but want to give this a spin because I find the GNOW a bit too choppy at the moment. The rest of the rom is buttery smooth but I will be backing that up to try this as I think that is my go to ROM at this point.
Cut that fat and give me the gushy stuff! hahaha:good:
Only other question I have is regarding NFC, how difficult would that be to add in?

Thanks, and I'm pleased with this. It runs faster than any JB experience I've had. I think JBS still edges it out, but that's the nature of aged hardware. I actually got this all setup. Used it for 30 minutes, went back to JBS for a few hours, went back to this for the rest of the night, and now I'm back on JBS.
As for NFC, check the OP. I added a flashable for it. As people find things they "must" have I'll just create little add-on packs. I don't plan on ever touching my modified base again, though, as I feel like it's in the goldilocks zone.

Will give it a whirl without NFC and see how it goes. Definitely a good option for those like me that don't use the Snote functionality, and let a brotha know how I can buy you a beer man. I'm sure there are others that would like to know as well.
Keep up the good work and know that it is appreciated.
Not sure where else to ask this. Is there anyway to get the long hold to skip song tweak on this ROM? It's the only thing holding me back from flashing this.

I found a few apps, Pandawg. One requires a working init.d, which this doesn't (currently) have. Hopefully that'll be remedied soon by Da_G.
There's also this, which while slightly different, is free so I reckon it's worth a shot.

Instructions:
Download the ROM, and gapps (downloads below)
BACKUP whatever you’re running - in recovery, do a full backup of system, boot, and data partitions
wipe phone in recovery (format system, data, cache, and dalvik partitions)
install rom + gapps (I always flash ROM twice then flash gapps)
reboot and set it up
give it another 10 minutes and reboot again

Known Issues:
If you experience screen flickering, disable hardware overlays in developer options.
You must flash with latest CWM recovery - TWRP doesn't work.
Call echo still on speakerphone: this is a CM bug and it WILL mess up dialing your security code in voicemail...
Call voicemail while not on speakerphone, dial your code, THEN switch to speakerphone to listen.
If gallery crashes and reboots your phone - Remove any and all mp4 files you have on your phone storage and sd card. For some reason mp4 files that were generated before 4.3 makes the gallery crash.
Anything you find? Let me know.

I was going to make a theme chooser theme for this to make it easier to correct the things I don't like color wise. But then
I found a beautiful Blacked out theme already Located Here prepared by blackout1911. He did an awesome job. So being the slacker that I am .. I just use his.
THAT SAID:
I did find a few things I wanted to correct. So I am keeping the zips going.
KitKat Fixer Flashy zips Located here:
WARNING USE ONLY ZIPS DATED THE SAME AS THE RELEASE.
NOTE:
If the Unicorn Gods decide to bork your phone with this .. I are sorry .. but I are not responsible. (But it seems safe lol)
What does this do for me, the grateful AOKP user?
It will remove some other holo blue that is in the rom for now. I am not a fan of the color, which is one of the reasons I started theming. KitKat is Hugely different from other releases that we have had, and therefore harder to theme .. and build if you ask Fuze.
What happens if I don't flash the zip dated the same as the rom?
Maybe nothing. Maybe you might loose features (like Torch). Maybe bootloops for you. Things change in every build. Usually that change is in frameworks. And yes .. frameworks is important.
What are the differences in the Fixer zip and the Hornycorn zip?
Hornycorn adds the Pink Unicorn animation. Everything else is the same.
Okay Bubba .. I got all that.. But you are old and slow .. and dagnammit I just can't wait .. so now what?
Oh a wise guy eh? okay then .. there are a special zip for you below. I left frameworks out. So for the most part, it should be fine unless there is a big change in SystemUI. It will give you the boot animation and correct the sound state toggle as well as give you the Unicorn lock handle. Mind you I said it "SHOULD" be fine. If SystemUi crashes dirty flash the rom and gapps to fix... then wait like everyone else.
INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL:
1. Go into recovery and back up your Unicorn Droppings before flashing. I will test flash every zip to check .. but you never know.
2. Flash the zip of your choice. Reboot and enjoy the fix.
Not so hard huh?
Where can I get this Unicorn goodness?
So glad you asked:
I are impatient and don't wanna wait
Dagnammit give me my dadgum Hornycorns right now I can't wait for your slow ass

BOOT ANIMATIONS ... I love new goodies.
These Boot Animations zips contain the listed boot animation and the unicorn lock screen handle only. To get the newest SystemUI update flash the Hornycorn zip with matching Rom date. That zip has the Unicorn Gears. Then you can change between Boot Animations as you please. Easy for you and easy for me.

I hadn't changed the governor settings before I reverted so whatever it has set out of the box. I had done a clean flash and restored my apps from the play store. Maybe was a bad flash on my part? The last version ran so smooth for me that I went back without trying too hard to fix.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Well, the reason I ask about the governor, is I know sometimes they can be flaky. I try to test all of them as fast as I can, before I release. Lol
Right now I'm at 11 hours uptime, with multiple phone calls, emails, texting, etc. - with the default governor (hyper).
Just as an FYI to everyone... I was building 2 different kernels before (2 different sources), during my "beta" releases. I was testing some things, between the kernel I was building in the ROM, and the kernel I was building separately for everyone to flash. I decided to just build the ROM with the kernel sources that I was previously building separately. Lol
Now, I do have a 3rd set of sources for another kernel ( Lmao - those of you who follow my github source trees, know ) , which I may start a separate kernel for flashing with. I know this is all confusing, but I do have a point to all this. Lol
My point is, I know some people are having issues and some aren't - hence why I have been building different kernels to try and help those having issues. I haven't had any problems with just building and flashing the ROM (except for that time with multiple Mms. lol ), but I know all of our Notes are like different women.
So for my next release, I will build a separate kernel for people with issues to try (it will be in the 3rd post).
As always - questions, comments, jokes, etc... post away. Lol :highfive:
I like pickles and this rom runs quite well.
UGH ... just UGMFH
Just to confirm, on the regular ROM listed in the OP, there is no setting to change kernels? Because if there is I can't seem to find it...

Sup boss? I knew you would have one of these
I might do an APM but not sure of the true need yet. What is this Sense 5 Tools you are talking about?

I flashed this rom on my Sprint phone and so far soo good. Only issues is that It won't connect to the Sprint Network but if you unlocked your Sprint Phone to a GSM Carrier, it works flawlessly, Internet Also. Only issue is that the Carrier Label is all gibberish.

Nope. All ROM features that I included are listed in the Opening Post under "Features". If its not specifically listed in there then it does not have it.

Haha yeah man. Hey Scott quick question. I'm looking at the root process and with the Verizon version, do I need to flash the unsecure kernel? Because I notice it has Sprint tied to the filename.

Nope, its real simple on this phone... You just need rumrunner. Thats all I had to do.
Go here: [s-off] rumrunner s-off
All you got to do... Make sure your drivers are all set up first, etc. But it was pretty straight forward. Then from there just go to fastboot mode and "fastboot flash recovery"
I am running twrp 2.7.0.0 (of course!)
Also, you can turn the finger print scanner back on here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2540004
Done!
But anyways... Once you get S-OFF thats all you really need...
Good luck!

No just run rumrunner. It does all that for you.
But lets not go too far off track...

You can enable it yourself with 2 easy changes to a file on your system via adb or a root browser. Instructions are in a word document in my signature below.

Oh well... Next build...
I posted a litely over clocked kernel if any one wants to try it.
[Kernel][3/17][Verizon] - CleanKERNEL - 1.0 -★| Pure Stock with Lite Over Clock |★-
@scrosler Any chance you know what I would need to edit to get rid of the am/pm in the statusbar? It's like the only thing that bothers me about the stock statusbar lol but I don't want to use xposed just for something silly like that.
Good deal guys!
I think the next phase will be an Aroma installer based ROM this weekend...
But before I do that... Is anyone missing any of the Sense / Social Networking features I removed.
I personally cant stand all the "Integration" which is why I removed it.
Who would benefit from me making these available in either an Aroma installer based ROM or even just as flash add-ons?
Or...
Are we good like this and I should continue to focus on refinements such as APM and fluidity tweaks as well as refining the kernel?
I would like any input on this.
Yeah, I think I will make up a social integration pack real quick...
I wont include the actual client apps, like Facebook, but I will include the integration into Blinkfeed so you can flash the pack then install the apps.
I may need some testing on it before I dial it right in... But I think I remember doing this on the HTC One when I had it.
I'll be back in a bit...
Alright, I think I dialed it in...
In post #2 is a flashable zip...
I tested it as far as I would test something like this and it seems to work.
After flashing you will have integration with; Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Linked in.
You will still need to install the normal Facebook and Twitter Apps from the play store to complete the integration. Included is only the framework to link it to blink feed.
Can some run it real quick and make sure its straight?
Just an FYI, I asked the mods to clean the thread. If your post is gone my apologies.
If anything was missed and needs clarification feel free to ask again.
I've been running this Rom for 3 days Scott. I love it. What else can you strip out. Lol. Also been running your over clocked kernel. Woot!

I could I strip out another chunk. I might go as bare as possible next build and wrap it in Aroma so you have 100% control over the bloat.
