Hi guys.
I'm using SGS2.Could you tell me which Rom or Kernel offers best battery life for this device? I installed tons of rom and i not sure about which is the best.I only asking for 2.5 or 3 hours screen time i newer saw that time on this device.Anyway im waiting for the answer and your notion. And finaly my english is not well i hope i can tell my problem, good days
There's no such thing. The two biggest factors which determine battery life are phone setup & usage. If you're not on top of those two things, makes no difference what kernel or rom you run (rom has almost nothing to do with it).
The only way to get great battery life is to tweak, test & experiment. There are 'shortcuts'; there is a multitude of threads on here with suggestions you can try & see how they work for you.
But there's no magic way to achieve great battery life.
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Which ROM should I flash to get the maximum battery life from the HD2? Is simpler ROM better or not?
It's hard to say because so many factors play an effect. If you have the perfect radio for your area and it's known to work well with the ROM you will usually get decent results for most ROMs. But if I had to decide I would say one of Miri's ROMs or the UnOff series.

I guess this thread will be closed soon. There are several threads asking which Rom to be the best? And you will get as much different answers as people write to your thread.
The answer is:
it depends mostly on the Radio ROM and the applications you are using. So you might get a longer battery life when you disable all those background agents for mail, twitter, weather and so on.
So you should better test for the best Radio ROM in your area with your needs and take a look at the existing threads how to save battery life
Here's something to help you test the radio (should be pretty easy to tell without it though)
hey guys whats your ****ing problem this thread is very interesting.

Calm down guy, it's called a search button I'll give you a hint "best hd2 rom for battery". There have been many threads about this. No need to huff and puff.
Don't be stupid. Different radios work different with different ROMs. And then your location also decides what radio is good for you. So go try them out.
Personally, I like 2.12.50.02 and 2.10.50.26 with a lot of ROMs. I know that because I tried them.
Hey people, I want to know what is the best rom that the majority thinks is the best ICS rom with the best battery life. There were so many roms to choose from and I am unable to decide which one to settle for. Maybe xda should create a chart for the top 10 best roms for S2? Sorry for sounding off like a noob.
Or a chart of the top 10 daily noobs.
There is no such thing as the "best ICS rom with best battery life". You have your phone setup differently to everyone else, you use your phone differently to everyone else and your phone came out of the factory slightly differently to everyone else's.
A rom that runs well for me might not run well for you.
I suggest you go the development sections of the forum & read the first few pages and the the last 10-20 pages of the particular threads devoted to different roms. That way you will get an idea of the features/pluses/minuses of each rom, and also see other users' experiences with that rom.
Then you can test different roms for yourself to find one that works best for you.
Edit to add - How bout you do the community a service, test a few dozen rom & make the 'top 10' list you're after instead of expecting other people to do it ?
Just try one until you find one you like

I need a rom that's fast, lite, and a total battery saver
it would be awesome if it can include arabic support
don't post
cm7
cm9
wanam rom
or any other ics look alike's
( i flashed ics before and gingerbread was way better)
post links of the rom
thank you xda and all xda users, i am so happy to be apart of this
You've basically excluded every rom which might give you a chance at decent battery life, however, I digress...

Mods will close this thread within a few hrs even tho it's Easter/the weekend :-|
Just try the ROMs. That's why the threads exist, for you to take the initiative to read them and search them.

Hey there you awesome developers.
I am just after a new rom which is stable and fairly fast but with good battery life.
I am currently on the official Three UK 4.03 rom and frankly.. it sux the big one.
The battery life is just absolutely terrible and it is also starting to become a little buggy in the last few days.
I have also had bluetooth connection problems to my work car since upgrading to ICS.
Any ideas or good suggestions for a rom that you can recommend??
Cheers people and major props for an awesome forum, just awesome.

Given how quick/simple it is to flash roms & backup/restore in CWM there is no excuse for you not trying out a bunch of roms for yourself. Tipping this thread is closed within an hour.

I lose 25% standby battery in 8hrs with only gsm on, is this normal? I have a recent stock rom.
Maybe due to the S3 as I heard the S4 and 5 have better energy management.
Any recommendations for a good looking and energy saving rom combination?
Please don't close this tread, this is no "best rom" question, just a recommendation demand
Change your kernel or first look for the culprit by installing better battery stats and keeping it on standby after giving root permissions..
Then see in the partial wake locks what's eating your battery...
I also have stock ROM and I have a full day battery with 4-5 hours screen on time...
Sent from my GT-I9300
Even though your question still violates the forum rules, but I'm going to answer you on this one.
Mostly ROMs won't make any significant differences, the thing that is more important than a ROM is the Kernel, since it controls all of the underlaying hardware. And I won't give you an answer regarding "Which Kernel is the best!" but try to get a decent well known one with some configurations. Like UV, and play with the Governors a bit. From the ROM POV just Greenify your applications.

As long as you are asking for a rom that has good battery or performance or anything. As long as its asking ppl to tell u a rom to use, its considered best rom. In this case, you are asking for the best rom for battery. Will be asking mod to close this sadly. Look thru the android development forum and find the rom tat fits u well. Good luck
