[HELP] Stuck on FASTBOOT mode... - Ornate TrueSmart

Hi I was messing around trying to get TWRP put on my TS and tried Super ADB tools. Hit reboot into recovery and I reckon I've done something stupid as my TS is stuck on a screen saying FASTBOOT mode... is there anyway to restart this without taking the back off? :silly:

I haven't tried this, but you could try to download fastboot to your PC and issue the fastboot reboot command. Should get you back to a normal boot.
[Guide] How To Setup And Use Fastboot

Mate you're a life saver! I think I'm too noob for this TWRP and installation. I'll probably wait till there's a one click solution to updating these ROMs. Was getting desperate was about to take back cover off!

I am glad you got out of fastboot mode, but don't hesitate to remove the back cover or sim slot cover just because you don't want to void your water-resistance warranty.
You really don't have one anyway, already.

Guess I'll install that 32Gb card I pledged for then. Which they should have pre-installed....... grr nevermind! I was able to remove the stickers from screws intact but in my excitement to reply saying thanks I just lost one lol

[Q] Tried to flash TWRP, now looks bricked :(

Hey guys, Today I just finished downgrading to HBOOT 1.4 and got up and running fine on TWRP 1.1.1 and ViperRom's new ICS build. I wasn't having any issues at all. I started reading about TWRP2 though, and felt like checking it out. So I downloaded GooManager and searched for TWRP and got openrecovery-twrp-2.1.3.blob. I touched it to download and it immediately went into recovery to install. However, as soon as it rebooted, it came up with TWRP 1.1.1's logo and a scrolling status bar. This lasted about 2 seconds and then the phone shut off. I left it as is hoping it would come back for about 10 min but nothing. I removed the battery and put it back in and tried to reboot. Booting to system and booting to recovery give zero response and ADB controls don't seem to recognize the device when plugged into USB. Can anybody help? TWRP2 doesn't seem to have a thread here and their site has limited resources for help.
thanks.
Can you boot into the bootloader (hold power and down on startup)?
no I cannot. Phone is completely unresponsive. I didn't think trying to flash a recovery would cause complete system failure.. wth
Just to be clear, before you call it a brick, did you remover battery for 10 seconds and then try to get to the bootloader. Hold down the volume first then the power button and keep holding both until the bootloader pops up. Just making sure...
yeah I did. Pulled the battery, left it out while I went and ate something, then plugged in the HTC charger and tried to reboot and nothing. Tried putting the battery back in and doing the same thing. I guess It's time to go to sprint and beg for mercy
Same thing happened to me. My phone is completely unresponsive after I tried to update to TWRP 2.1. I was on AOKP milestone 5a. The computer responds when I connect the USB, but the phone will not boot at all.
EDIT: Computer doesn't respond either. Think I'm headed to the nearest Sprint store ASAP.
Connect your device to your computer then go into your adb directory in cmd and type. "adb reboot-bootloader" (without the quotation marks)
Are you s-off ? And does the phone show up as qhusb_dload in device manager ? If it does it is bricked. If you still have s-on it can be fixed if you are s-off i am sorry to say you have to get a new phone. I have a phone now that is s-off and bricked and i cant recover it as of now but i am working on it, if i succeed i will post how to do it.
I would recommend trying to keep the bricked phone in case there is a way to unbrick eventually then you have another phone to play with. I just claimed my insurance and told them i dropped the phone in a porta-john at work and i wasn't about to fish it out. So they told me dont worry about sending the bricked phone in and i got my new one next day.

Bricked for good? (Revisited!)

Hello all!
I am back to see if anyone has any more ideas with what I can do to resurrect my LG G3. To recap, I tried to flash android 5.0 and I had forgotten to re flash the stock recovery prior to doing so. Long story short I completely botched the process and I am left with a LG G3 that can only access system recovery selection menu. When ever i try to just boot the phone by holding the power button, it shows the G3 boot image and then an error in the top left reads: "Boot certification verify".
From there, the phones screen turns off and the led flashes amber and blue until I pull the battery.
If I remember right, I need to find a way to re flash download mode but it has been several months since I tried to repair it..
Hope you guys can provide me with some input!
I linked a video I made of what happens when i try booting the phone below:

I had to do a warranty exchange through the insurance. It is not worth
The effort since we don't have fastboot. Got a brand new replacement.
Hope you can do what I did. Told them the truth that the phone
Would not boot up. Nothing else.

Totally would have done that had I not dropped my phone in water:silly:
Just pay the hundred and use the insurance, you can report it lost.
This way you can have spare parts.
You can also replace the motherboard. Sometimes you can get them
For 100.00 but I'm only seeing them for 150.00 on eBay.
Id like to hear that you can unbrick this phone but I doubt it with
No fastboot. Good luck.
Since it will boot cant you just usecthe lg flash tool thingamajiger and flash a .kdz

[Q] One S Bricked? Won't boot

So I rooted my HTC ONE S (villec2) today, and I wanted to flash a custom rom on it. I got a recovery (turned out to be a bad one, but it worked either way.... I noticed way too late it was made for HTC One M8) I got TWRP 2.7.1.0 and I got it working on my phone. I then backed up the system, and realized I messed up the recovery. In the meantime I got a CM 12.1 img on it and wiped the thing. The wipe removed the old Android system and the CM I downloaded was a bad download. If I go to recovery in the bootloader, it will just do the HTC white screen with "Entering Recovery" and the red warning logo but it won't get anywhere. It's just stuck there. So now, I'm stuck with a device that won't boot normally - just stuck on the white HTC screen, will boot into bootloader, and I want to know if there's a way of accessing the internal storage without being in the operating system. The worst thing is, there's no external SD Card, all just internal... Please god help me. I'm really stressing out about this since it's the only phone I have and if I lose it.... well I'm practically f-ed.... :crying: I know that I messed a few things up really badly and I'm not sure what state the phone is in.
Also just to add, the phone is barely loading up right now. I'm really scared since it's my only phone and it won't even boot normally right now. It's really acting strange, it was on 90% battery but now it might just be dead... i don't know.... someone please help
I honestly think I screwed it up.... All it does now is just a white flash / flicker when I hold the power button (both only power button and vol down) and that's it. I'm really disappointed right now but oh well.... Maybe just because the battery is not charged.... Also been looking around the other threads and looks like a lot of people had the same issue but with 0 replies...

I have no way of trying the stock rom. I cannot access the phone itself because I deleted the OS. There's a weird thing, that if I plug the USB to the computer, it does the connect windows sound but the phone's internal storage is still not accessible.... So as it turns out I can get to the freaking bootloader but then it just turns off with a white flicker a second later.... I have no clue what to do :crying:
try to hook your device with windows and hold the Volume Down and Power
to see if it can detect it

Alright. I slept through the night and now I'm here trying to resolve this again. Status now, is that when I try to boot it up, it just shows a white flicker and won't turn on. no matter if i try to boot in bootloader or normally. The device doesn't appear to be charging when I plug it in because it doesn't show the LED light for charging. I think it's hard bricked. I tried other threads, showing bright light to the proximity sensor, but nothing happened.
//edit// - My bootloader was unlocked, and I was on S-ON (HTC ONE S, S3 villec2) that might change on your phone and might make the process different
So I fixed it. I will leave the tutorial for anyone in the future that might be having the same issue. If you "locked yourself out" of your system, eg. no OS, and broken recovery just plug it into the computer, try somehow getting into bootloader, go into fastboot and plug the usb cable to your computer so you're in Fastboot USB. Then you can flash a recovery on the phone using a fastboot command. I believe it's fastboot flash recovery _filename_. Just google that, there'll be plenty. Then you have the recovery and you're back on track. After that you can get the rom you wanted. Just don't make my mistake, and check if your device is exactly the same as the files you're downloading for it. I messed up there . Anyway, good luck everyone!

yea
Happy to hear that u have fixed your phone add "solved " to the title and add a fast tutorial for help purpose

Bricked Lg V10 Need Help!

I was on my phone when suddenly it just booted off for no reason, weird right? So now it just stays on the "LG" boot up screen and now do anything. I've tried everything and done everything right (as far as I know) before I get into that let me tell you what my device can do as of now:
Devices DOES have fastboot oem unlock done
Phone was rooted as well and working perfectly (or so I thought until this happened)
ADB doesn't seem to work, but fastboot when connected to the computer does.
Ex: ADB devices (blank)
but fastboot devices (shows phone connected)
I've tried rebooting into recovery (Power + down) doesn't do anything, however, {Power + down} then finger off power then {Power + down} again takes me to "factory reset" option, if done so the phone just hangs and removing battery on way to take it back to fastboot on pc, or bootloop again.
I've done the following steps using [LG-H901] Stock .img Files (Boot, System, and Recovery)
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
then
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and finally
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I've tried booting the phone and still gets me stuck on bootloop, and doing the same {Power + down} gets to the same "factory reset" option only then freezes my phone if I agree to do so.
Is there something I've done wrong or incorrect? I will provide as much info as requested.
Thanks guys!
Update: Phone booted up to lockscreen after finishing "Android is starting..." procedures, then kept bootlooping and it is now doing "Android is starting.." procedures again. I'll keep it updated if it keeps doing so or anything of the sort.
Did you reply YES when trying to enter recovery? It will ask 2 times and bith times answer YES ... And if you DO have TWRP installed it will boot into twrp recovery.

This is the weirdest thing, phone worked for a bit then shuts off and does the same thing. all files and everyhing was in tact. ANy main reason behind this? I am desperate not to delete everything because i have important photos on there that were still there when it re-started again right now.
So to recap: At the moment doing the {factory reset} got me as far as using phone for like 2 minutes before ****ting out and sending me on a bootloop yet again.
Important Questions:
On all my other devices I am able to connect via usb and read devices, but on this phone I get the message when connecting to my computer "LGE Android MTP Device: Failed" whats this about?
Is there any way to save internal photo album images other than getting this to boot up and pray it stays on long enough to transfer data?
UPDATE 2: Phone has booted up and not froze (yet)? Testing to see if it will keep working so far so good. Unfortunately all my **** was deleted which bummed me out, would have honestly prefered to lose a $600 phone than all the family, friend, ext photos I had on my phone I made the huge mistake of saving to internal memory and never backing up. Smh.
Update 3: Phone is back at it again with the bootloop. I have no idea what is wrong, I've repeated the steps twice and phone doesn't seem to let up. It's fine until I hit that restart or shutdown button then it goes into bootloop heaven. I'm guessing this phone is done for? On an unrelated note it did fall on me, but worked fine afterwards, it was just sudden when it started doing this. Unless anyone has more suggestions I'd be glad to hear them. As of right now, this phone is toast.
You tube how to bake phones in the oven.
It could fix some potentially loose solders..or since everything was already wiped you should get a warranty replacement.. Should still be under factory warranty.

I am thinking the warranty route. Is there anything specific I should do before doing so? I hear having "fastboot oem unlock" {Bootloader Unlocked} voids the warranty. Is this true that you might know of? Either way thanks I appreciate the information.
Sorry so late..
But you can try to fastboot oem lock it.

HELP: Screen replacement and phone stuck at Mi logo

I replaced the broken screen on my Kenzo and now it's stuck at the Mi logo. Funny thing is the technician said when he disconnects the touch ribbon it boots normally (but obviously with no touch) and locks up with Mi logo when it's connected. I've read that the mtk and sd screens are interchangeable so I don't think that's the issue. I don't have access to another screen so I have to make do with this one anyway.
I bought the phone from Gearbest two years ago and it came with the vendor rom which I never changed. I'm suspecting the vendor rom has something to do with it and now is the perfect time to flash a new rom before I sell it. Only problem is I have no clue how to flash a rom. I can get it to the fastboot screen but that's it.
Could someone please help me but in plain laymans English? Flashing for Dummies kind of thing. I've been a member here a while but haven't grasped the lingo or their meanings yet.
Thanks in advance.

Google miflash
And download it.
Also download the latest miui developer rom
http://bigota.d.miui.com/8.1.25/miui_HMNote3ProGlobal_8.1.25_16348801ef_6.0.zip
Search for EDL.zip from xda itself and follow the instructions to get to edl mode from fastboot mode( to see if it's in edl mode check for the red blinking status LED when connected to the pc)
Now open miflash as administrator connect your phone to the PC.
Miflash should see it as something like COM..
Now extract the developer rom and in miflash browse for the extracted direvtory
At the bottom right select clean_all lock.bat and then press flash..
After few minutes the flashing should get completed and then hold the power button on the phone until u see the mi logo.
Wait for the booting to get completed and then setup the phone..
Congratulations you bow have a working phone again.

Thanks for the help. Well I got it all the way to flash in edl and around 9% it gave an error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" or something similar. So it basically failed. What can I do? I'm almost there

Google some fastboot commands to erase partitions...
It should be something like this
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase cache
> fastboot erase recovery
> fastboot erase system
> fastboot erase userdata
First go to fastboot mode by holding vol down and power together .
Then connect to PC and then install minimal adb and fastboot kit. Then open the shortcut in desktop and then type fastboot devices and check if u device is there or not. If yes then copy and paste the commands above and then repeat the EDL flash procedure.

This is depressing. I followed your instructions and used the command "fastboot format partition" as that's the only one that would work and was suggested in options. The result was "failed device locked". :crying::crying::crying:
Yep. Same result. Does the bootloader have anything to do with all this?
Any ideas why it would boot normally with the touch ribbon disconnected but bootloop when connected? I'm beginning to wonder if flashing will even work.
WELL!! My phone is suddenly working. After trying all sorts of flashing methods I put it on the charger this morning and just took it off and it's working perfectly.
What happened was I read another thread about flashing the Global rom with a locked bootloader. At the very end of the instructions and almost as an after thought, the author mentioned that you must boot the phone into recovery in order to clear the cache etc otherwise the phone will be stuck on the Mi logo. It sounded similar to my problem so I did volume up and power key together and the Mi logo came up. Thinking nothing had changed I did volume down and power and went into fastboot. Again nothing changed. So I switched it off, put it on the charger and left it for about 4 hours. I just took it off the charger 20 minutes ago and it was working perfectly.
Perhaps someone can explain what the heck happened? Meanwhile I'm selling it pronto. Lol
