Wireless charging Receivers

Anybody see any wireless charging receivers yet? like the patch one? I am not sure I feel like adding the bulk of the full back plate to the phone. I have never tried these and wonder if the work as well.

Samsung is rolling out a wireless charger for the note 3, you would only have to change the back cover of the phone with one that supports wireless charging.

I have purchased from TigerDirect - many years ago - and they were reliable then. I presume the same is true now... They are I the US and have been in business a long time... I just ordered two charging docks from them.
Note: I have already ordered the wireless charging back cover from Verizon because I actually prefer OEM products and wanted to make sure it was from Verizon as I have the Verizon phone so I know it will be true OEM and work flawlessly...
There are already two other threads discussing wireless charging that could answer you questions:

G3 wireless charging, any solutions?

So, part of the reason i bought this phone was the built in wireless charging. Well it was a big surprise to me [emoji30]when i got my new Qi charger today, and it wouldn't work. I never thought that it wouldn't be built into the battery cover.
So has anyone found a inexpensive, not the ebay 120.00 battery cover, way to add the charging into backs that came with our phones?
You can get the Verizon Wireless Charging Circle case for 59.99
Well, looking for a replacement back or just the qi receiver sticker, I'm not a fan of the flip cases.

I feel the same way. I don't want the circle case, but i really want Qi charging. I guess we will have to wait for them to release a Qi charging backplate only.
Guess this is what i get for getting a phone on day 1 that it's available. I just wish that they would have come out of the box ready to go. Wondering if we can modify one of the adapters from another model phone to work temporarily?

I'm thinking with minimal tweaking this could be made to work.

How does it interface with the phone (both this pad and the G3)? Does it have pins on the case and battery cover?
Yes there are 4 pins on the phone case that should connect to the battery door, but only the two for nfc are being used. My thought, i could easily make an adapter to connect if needed. Minimal soldering to the temp receiver coil.

Venue 8 3840 Qi charging options

Other than the Dell version what have you guys found to be the most convenient wireless charger (something relatively inexpensive as well) ?
I have a Nokia one (I've had for a couple years) I use for my G2 that's great, but this is a gift and I have noticed that the charging "area" is towards the bottom of the tablet and when using the Nokia I have to rest the front of the tablet on something so that it balances on the charger correctly.
I was thinking maybe one of those thin round Anker chargers, in that the tablet could rest on it and it wouldn't need to be propped up. Anybody have any experience with those?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
I don't have a wireless, but I picked up a jackery giant on BF it was on sale and well worth it to me.

Just a heads up. This one:

did not work on the Venue 8, however, for the price and the insanely fast shipping time it's still a great charger in that it worked fine on my LG G2 with my thick Ballistic case on.
I'm curious if anyone actually uses wireless charging with these things. I can find zero info on any of it. Like what chargers work best? (The Nokia sure doesn't), and if the Dell dock works well.

I have two 3840s for the kids and switched to wireless charging because one of the USB ports became finicky to plug and charge.
Tried two generic Qi chargers with mixed results. They could charge but the tablet but it was very tricky to place it correctly. As others have noted, the charging coil is at the bottom of the tablet, I would guess a little offset to the left. One of the generic Qi chargers appeared to be lowered powered (less efficient?) than the other and the Venue would not charge with it unless it was within a 0.25 inch of correct placement (had to draw lines on the charger for reference).
The other generic Qi charger was better powered but still required correct placement (within a 0.5 inch). It was designed for a phone though and the tablet had to be awkwardly balanced to provide proper contact.
In the end, I broke down and bought the Dell Venue charger. It works flawlessly. Just center the tablet on the charger and it automatically connects for charging (even with the cover on). The regular price in Canada is ridiculous ($80) and even on sale (which it is right now) it is pricey ($60).
I bought it while on sale and had a $20 discount coupon. For $40, it is still a bit much but it does work well.
Hope that helps.
Thanks. Does the dell model work no matter which way the tablet sits?

The Nokia charger actually works quite well. The only problem is that you have to put the bottom of the device on the charger. This means that you have to place something (like a thin book) right next to the charger so that the tablet can stay flat while charging. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. Once you figure it out it works every time.
Tried that but maybe because of the case that I use, the Dell one, it doesn't work well. It takes forever to find the right spot. Maybe the tablet is defective I don't know.

This seems very strange. I'm also using a case (a generic flip cover case I found on eBay) and I still don't have any problems using the Nokia DT-900 charger. Works very well every time I try it. One thing I should mention is that I've always placed the tablet so that the long side of the charger is aligned with the bottom of the tablet. As stated above, this requires a small book, or other such item, be placed next to the charger so that the tablet can sit flat. It works very well for me in this configuration. If you are using the charger in the other direction, you might want to give this a try.

Just a heads up anyone interested in the Dell cradle I just got one on Ebay, super fast free shipping, looks new, I offered $20 and he sold it, looks like he has 8 more. Great seller. Didn't include cable but works with the Venue's adapter and any cable.

[Q] Does my G3's back case have Qi wireless charging receiver already?

Hi guys. I bought my G3 few months ago. Its not a new one, I bought it as second hand but condition is 99,99%.
As the information I got from the seller its D855 Vodafone - International.
So my question is as those images i shot on my back case is this true that my phone can use with a Qi charging pad right away now or not?
Because after searching through the net, I didn't find any information about Qi charging relate to G3 Vodafone.
The receiver on my back case has 4 pins (as I know 2 is for NFC, and the other 2 will be for Qi charging).
The problem is I went to other shop (not really a shop, this guy just shipped items from China), he was selling some Qi charging pad. I put on 1 pad there but nothing happen, try many angles but still the same.
So whats the problem, my phone or his pad?
And here my back case. Thanks for your feed back and sorry for my bad English:
Yes, it should work.
If it doesn't work with the Chinese charger it's because the charger...

Make sure the golden square hits the ones on the back of the phone
Is there anyway i can get qi wireless charging on my f400s by buying a back cover which supports qi?
Qi works out of the box
Yes your G3 should be Qi compatible out of the box...I have a Panasonic, and Nokia Qi Charger, and they start working about 2 seconds after I place them on the charge pad.
Just FYI, the G4 on the other hand isn't Qi Compatible out of the Box...Go figure, I guess Quick Charge 2.0 is the better standard...=(

Are all Qi charging stickers made the same?

As we all know, the LG V10 is an amazing device. One that does not have wireless charging out of the box. I have seen cars starting to integrate wireless charging into their cabins so I'm baffled why a lot of devices are not Qi charging capable as a standard. That's neither here nor there.
I had a G3 that I had gotten a wireless charging back for and I loved it. I also ordered one from Amazon for my V10 but it didn't clip on correctly so I sent it back. I then found the sticker on Wish (www.wish.com) for $4 including the $1 shipping. I thought this was a great deal. I removed the original NFC sticker and affixed the Qi/NFC sticker promptly on its arrival. The problem is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will be on the base overnight and will charge from 15% to 30%. Sometimes it refuses to connect. I even tried the Samsung Quick Qi charger at the Verizon store with no success. The other night I had placed it on the base and it connected and shortly after it started playing music from the the LG music app.
My question is are all the stickers basically the same or does the name and price suggest the quality? What about charging bases? I'm hesitant to say that it is the base. I am also very picky as to which style I'd like vs cost. I will include the Amazon listing of the one I use.

Dont do it, I've tried several sticker/Qi combos and it just drains the battery. Really fast.
I've already done it. LoL! It works sometimes. That's the problem. When it connects, it's great.

I've never found wireless charging to be stellar. In fact, more often than not the time required to recharge isn't worth it. I just stick with a rapid charger. :/ I would love to see some reliable rapid wireless charging some day.
I know people at a Verizon store and they gave me another stock battery cover. I am no longer using the wireless charging. It's convenient for night time. While I'm asleep. No big. I can live without it.
