On my rooted Sprint Note 3, if I flash a Engineering Bootloader, in place of my stock, KNOX warranty void 0x1 Bootloader. Will the Engineering Bootloader have a status on KNOX? Can I re-flash back to the stock Bootloader? If so, will it still read a void KNOX warranty?
There is no way to fix the Knox flag .... No bootloader change etc ... Samsung can do it but no way except them. .. Don't worry about it ...I will not care especially in like 30 days when I pick up my g3

You can probably just grab the original APK from your backup and replace it. OR grab the APK from the ROM zip file you flashed if you haven't made a backup.

What root methods have you tried? Odin couldn't get TWRP to stick on mine, so that I could flash SuperSU. I had to use CF Auto Root, but after that Odin got TWRP to stick first try.

Can't. . I don't hate the phone I hate Knox and all the problems people are having keeping root.
I have not rooted my phone which is why I say I hate it. I want to root so I can start working on my own rom but with all the trouble people are having I feel I should wait. If twrp would just get going I might take the plunge. I really don't care about the Knox stuff for warrantee purposes but rather the unknown if what it us doing. This is worse than the locked bootloader on the HTCs .. I don't know why they can't just leave us alone. We paid a lot of money for this phone we should be able to do with it what we want. ..

You can install most all TouchWiz roms on the forums, just avoid KitKat (there's only one rom, all the other KitKat threads of which I'm aware are either AOSP, which I believe is hewn from 4.3/MJ4, which is what you're on or routes to NAB, which upgrades your build to official Sammy TouchWiz KitKat, so not really roms that you'd flash with the recovery you put on there).
If you stick with the ones referenced above, you'll be fine, but you have a few choices to make, including...
1. Do want to upgrade to KitKat, which is coming to our phones eventually (not yours, since you've rooted and installed recovery)? If yes, then I'd recommend flashing one of the tars on the dev forum, and running stock for a few days or so, until these awesome devs start putting out some real exciting roms to flash.
2. Do you want a highly themed, beautiful looking rom? If yes, then you might look at some of the excellent choices on the dev forum, choose wisely, but there are options aplenty. Most all of these are MJ4 based.
3. Do you want AOSP or one of its offshoots? If yes, then you might wish to explore those options before selecting either 1 or 2. I'm not too familiar when AOSP roms, as I don't use them, but many options from which to choose, so you should be able to read a bit and decide for yourself.
One last item...please confirm (here or just on your end) the recovery that you flashed is made for MJ4/Jellybean 4.3.
Have fun, and welcome to our growing community!

No, I'm speaking of recovery.
Please make certain that you grabbed the proper recovery from the TWRP thread. It's simple, each is labeled according to whether you're on Jellybean (you are), or KitKat, you're not.
The bootloader is unrelated to recovery.
I'd rather you start out right than not.
Just check the TWRP thread, compare it to what you downloaded, and you'll be fine.
Both flavors of TWRP come with a graphic user interface, with touch screen navigation.

I'll leave that in your very capable hands.
I don't pick horses in these forums, as it tends to deter development, in a broad sense. Show love, thanks, and donate to the dev that you like. Even the soi-disant easy-to-build roms take effort, so I wouldn't deter you from any. Some like them a lot.
Make your own choices. You'll find the experience far more rewarding.
I do recommend taking time, looking at the OP, pics, length of thread (more posts does not necessarily = better, but can be a good indicator), user feedback, dev ownership (yes there is honor in supporting one's craft...to a point...users can whine a lot)...but I promise you, if you read, imagine, think it through, you'll nail it, and find something you love.
Good luck!

Go to this rom thread on the AT&T forum, scroll down to addons, grab one of the four volume mod choices especially for KitKat, and provides the same options as Jellybean, it's just a different file edit.
I suggest that you do not flash, but push the file and setting permissions. I've found that anything above the slight mod is just distortion, but your experience may vary.

Or you can unzip the file moderate lite file linked here (backing up the original first),

Uhm, those are KitKat-specific. The files I linked are specifically for KitKat 4.4.2 TouchWiz, and I happen to be using them right now.
Please go visit the thread to which I linked and try them. They work.

You should definitely update your firmware to either MJ4 or NAB. NAB would be preferable considering you're running 4.4.2. (How did you get that installed on such old firmware?)
