When i try to take a picture with HDR mode the resolution is locked to 8MP and i can't change it. I want to take pictures in HDR mode with 6MP 16:9 wide screen mode. Is it possible with S3 stock camera app?

Everything worked as they should.
Here is the screen capture .... do youguys see the resolution is greyed out and I cant changed it ?
So how can i fix it??? anyone?
No one can help me with this problem? Am I the only one having this problem?

Firstly this forum is not for the sprint gs3. this is for the international version. You flash any files here, ur phone will hard brick. Pls go to the appropriate forum next time. Have u tried updating to 4.4? And also try to flash a custom rom. NOT from this forum. go google search "gs3 sprint xda"

hi guys, i have ran into a knot- flashed the deepshining v3 ROM for mozart, and everything's ok, but camera is stuck in 5MP- no 8MP setting anywhere. how can i fix this?
HTC apps also lost from marketplace. not a big issue- i need to fix the cam pronto.
any help would be much much appreciated.

There is probably wrong setting file "camerasettingsmanifest.XXX.xml" for camera setting. It is located in Windows directory.

Many have had that problem, just get another ROM that is more stable and that's it
ive just done the deepshining i found with the 8mp option it was the same colour as the background it was selected just hiding clicking on another option made it visible

HERE IS A VERY SIMPLE WAY TO FIX THIS ISSUE.
Go to settings - open REGION+LANGUAGES option change your display format and system locale to a different region (try it with English India) press to agree the chafes and the will automatically reboot and now you will have 8mpix in your camera settings.

After flashing mini cm9 3.0.2 that every1 swares its awesome I found the worst bug ever the camera!!! The camera's quality is alot worse than stock and I use the camera alot can anybody help?

I think it is because there is some driver that can't be ported fully... Some people are still working through this... Sorry, can't help much..

Press on settings button near camera button after on the "3 dots" and change it to 5 mp.
It was there, simple ! just search a ltl more developers have do agreat job.

yes, it worked very well as lockscreen wallpaper for my htc mozart
what software do you use for resize the photo? i thought you extract it from your phone, but i see it have a higher resolution

very good software gets the job done , just make sure you choose a higher res picture and make it the size you want . you also gotta know which one to choose for it not to get abnormal .

Yes, actually it blur the backgroud and focuz only the object , like DSLR type photos

Now i don't have device with me, Have to check yourself or somebody else
I tried it using apkmirror. Works ok, no portrait mode. Photo/video mode works. Time lapse and Panorama not working, not able to shoot in landscape only in vertical. Very basic. Tested quality difference, not much, probably due to Snapdragon being needed for extra processing.

I am running the latest available version of OrangeFox Recovery and NitrogenOS. I use the camera app quite a while and this is a huge issue for me. I tried cleaning the cache on the camera app like some posts suggested, it didn't work.
Is there any solution to this? Or should I flash the stock rom back?

Image doesn't load
I just noticed that the image is not loading, at least for me
welp, the images the camera produces are as follows:
3/4 of the image is green, the top right corner is the only one with a visible image, I would post but I can't since this account is new

I'm having the same issue but on HavockOS and the workarounds aren't working.
Already disabled the camera2api with "persist.camera.eis.enable=0" and "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=0" and there is no change.
But to me it's happening only on Whatsapp camera (didn't have any other app to test) while it is working on the default camera.
If anyone got any suggestions please put it here.
