I dont think so these phones are completely different basend an hardware. I think the 4g model has its in forum. I wouldn't try a any t959 ROMs on your t959v could end up bricking your phone. The 4g variant sucked only good thing was the the 4g and the FFC but it was modded to work on the vibrant so it pretty much sucked.

Cam someone tell me a modem to get 4G on my vibrant, thanks !

there isn't one. the vibrant 4g modem is not compatible with out phones. idk why but it isnt
There isn't one... Yet. You will need a modem, AND kernel. Be patient. The amazing devs will probably have it out before the real 4g will be out. Because the devs aren't money hungry crooks.

Ya , I think too , cause they have a stock vibrant 4g rom ported for the vibrant . I dont know how . But it said it doesnt have the 4g modem .

Not possible. Do a search, there have been a few threads on this already. Mods, please close this thread.
We will never have true 4g on the vibrant. If you want it then buy the Galaxy S 4g when it comes out.

ya. the regular can not get 4g even thogh there is a ported 4g rom but the signal is really 3g

(Q) Can you use vobrant roms on the 4g vibrant?

As the questions says... can you put say trigger on the vibrant 4g..? My friend has one and its even running a kb5 modem..
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Vibrant and Vibrant 4g ROMs are not interchangeable without modifications so no you cant use Trigger on the 4g.
Last time I checked the 4g doesnt even have clockworkrecovery yet so I wouldnt be trying to flash ROMs on that phone anyway.
Vibrant 3g KB5 is NOT the same as sgs4g KB5.
And no, 3g and 4g roms are not interchangeable.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Thanks for the quick responces.. I was just wondering because under about phone they look identical. I guess there will not really be any work seen on the sgs4g?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
The galaxy s 4g is t959vuvkb5
Vibrant 3g is t959uvkb5
from my Vibrant running Bionix-v 1.3.1 and my Unbridled Carnage theme.
What really seperates the 4g from ours? A 4g modem and a ffc i also noticed it has a 1650mah battery compared to the 1500 in this one.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Sdcards for one. Vibrant has internal + external and the 4g has just external.

[Question] Im recieving a vibrant 4g as a gift

Is there any custom roms? Or should i sell it and keep my vibrant? I was looking at the 4g forum and it looked pretty dead. Anyone know if its compatible with regualr vibrant roms?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
from wht i know its not totally compatible!
So there arent very many roms available? I want the ffc and 4g
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
then keep it stock and enjoy the ffc and 4g...
So there are no roms for the 4g?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Not really. Doesn't seem to have any active developers.
The lack of developers is what's keeping me from getting one.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Think i should go with the new or the old one? Im getting it for free so i dont know

You keep saying you want a custom Tom for the galaxy s 4g, and we keep telling you there really aren't any nor is there an active development community for it, and you still keep asking the sake question.
If you want custom roms, stick with the vibrant. If you want ffc, 4g, and no custom roms, go with the sgs 4g. Pick your poison.

Yeah, he posted how to, but he's not developing for it, so it's up to other users to do the leg work, which people aren't stepping up to do.

If you get one, i could port roms you want over from the vibrant. Just pm me the rom you want and i will port it.
I would trade it for a G2 or Galaxy Tab (if you get lucky). Or just sell it on ebay. Just avoid the Mytouch 4G since you are out of warranty if one of the slews of issues with that phones occurs.

I'll pass, tablets aren't really my thing. And, I'd rather have a g2x than a g2. G2's are kind of wack. Im just waiting for a phone that really blows me out of the water.

You're also in the incorrect forum. Sprint Galaxy SII is the Epic 4g Touch, which has its own forum. They are different models of phones, with different radio hardware. So it's a pretty safe bet that flashing an i9100 firmware will cause loss of signal, yes.

Yes lost of signal ie data and making phone calls.

It will work. If you mean on a telus network, the wifi calling (do they have that?) likely will not, and you'll probably need to flash a different modem. I know nothing of Telus, though.
Hardware wise, though, it will work just fine.
My wife is using MetroPCS as well. Her phone is from CA Telus. Mine is from att. Mine was i717 before I flashed a TMobile ROM. Hers,is the i717d.
