On the xperia z ultra, Sony's version and gpe version, is the power button flatter on this phone than on other xperia phone models? And when I say flatter I mean does the bump protrude a lot like the other models.

Yeah, it looks like the Ultra's button is a little flatter, so it doesn't stick out as much. Can't tell if this is a negative in your eyes, or?

Thankyou for responding. but no it isn't I just got mine and I wanted to make sure I didn't pay for a defective device. I had the Z and that button stuck out far..but yea just wanted to know..I really appreciate it.
One more question, is the button also softer to press??..I'm just making sure before my warranty runs out.

Yeah, the button is like this:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
... and i guess it's a little softer to press than the Z. Mine's not that hard, but it's a little on the soft side
It's softer and does not protrude. To put it simply "you cannot feel it". Blends with the design

Hello. I'm looking for ROMs that have the ability to use the software buttons. Like this

I use the AOKP Rom right now, but I would like to switch to a different one.
Sorry if this has been asked. Its 4am and I wanted to get this up so I can *hopefully* have an answer by morning.
I'm off to bed... thanks.

Any ROM with tablet mode will have them, it's part of tablet mode itself.
Hi all,
I just purchased a pretty cheap Xperia U off ebay, and upon unboxing I discovered that it does not respond to touch.
The touchscreen does not respond, the capacitive buttons above the light bar do not work.
I tried updating firmware using PC Companion, then uses SUS. Update worked fine but still stuck with same problem.
Device boots fine, but I cannot even unlock it. The power buttons, volume buttons work fine. What could be a possible cause with this?
Could it be that during transportation the touchscreen connector got loose?
Is it a software issue? What could be a possible way to perform a recovery?
Is it a hardware issue? Should I take it to a Sony repair center? Im pretty sure I dont have any warranty on this, its an imported fone.
Seems lik a hardware problem.. Take it to repair shop.

Sounds to me like the digitzer possibly isn't working. AFAIK u have to replace the entire screen if so (I had the same problem on my mini pro).

Look up i717 housing on ebay man......btw i seen u post in the skyrocket forums.....mind if i ask how much u got ur note for?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Oh maybe I read it wrong. I thought it was actually apart of the digitizer, and those aren't looking pocket friendly.
Yeah I was looking at getting a broken one and fixing it but passed on it. I got my note for $225. Already unlocked, in the box. Could use a back cover, the housing. The phone looks great, but I'm just picky.
Ah crap. Looks like I'll have the remove the screen from that section via a heat gun. Oh well.
Yea that's a pretty good deal......and for the housing part.....getting that digitizer separated is going to be a b***h even with a heat gun.....

Yeah it wasn't too bad. Since I plan on keeping this one, I'll most likely just get a a case for it and call it a day.

You mean something to cover the whole phone from falling? Hard to get because I think the antenna and Mic is at the bottom so you dont really want to cover those, the bottom cover is easily replaced though

Looks like they are fixing the slippery backing and finger print issues plus adding some color.

Hope someone comes out with the back covers only for our model. Would love a red cover for my white g2.

i have removable back cover so i can have any color so no limited for me
The back is removable for every LG g2 version the sides of the phone can't be removed though

I do wish manufacturers or retailers released replacement backs though and not just bulky cases.
Just wish the stock back wasn't so slippery
Great. As much as I love my G2, I hope they don't go about it like the HTC One and come out with new colors instead of new hardware.

Yuck.
I like the design of the current phone. The colors. to me. seem too feminine for the guys (but good for the ladies out there). Besides, I've got a TPU case that covers up any color it might have anyway, plus is still slim and remedies the slippery case.
