Hi
With today's Themer update, I now have a black bar at the bottom of my screen (see attachment). I tried rebooting the phone, and re-applying the theme, but it persists.
Noticed the changelog for the update mentions navigation buttons. Not sure if it's related to that.
I'm on an HTC One (M7)
Thanks

I get the same thing on my galaxy s2. It does appear to be the "Navigation bar" because if you go to Advanced Settings -> More -> Notification Bar, you'll get the ability to change the "Navigation Bar Color" which impacts that bar (as an example if you change it to white, it would be a white bar.)
Unfortunately I wasn't able to find a setting to turn off this Navigation bar.
I have the exact same issue here, on my Galaxy S Advance, running CM11. And it messed my theme, there are weird margins at top and bottom of all widgets. The wallpaper had black margins.
Why is it that there isn't an option for navigation bar when a lot of devices don't need one?

Yep...same issue...
I have the same issue on my HTC one.
I thought that the app assumed I had soft keys, for some reason.
Or that it was an ad placeholder
The update came out today and it fixed mine.

Hi,
The new update (1.49) should fix this issue. There were major bugs found in version 1.48 regarding the notification and navigation bars, therefore those features have now been disabled until a fix can be properly tested. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Today's update fixed it all.
Thank you dev team!

I've stock rom on my S3 (rooted), and did an update from ICS to JB yesterday - since that my notification bar background is dark grey (instead of black as it was in ICS). I've a very clean "theme": solid black on all pages - I don't like colorful themes (maybe with moving bubbles ) - and my black start-screens don't look very nice now with an dark grey bar on top. I've searched a lot and didn't find anything - is there an easy way to set the background color of the notification bar to either transparent or to black? - without installing a theme (which I'm sure modifies things I don't want to be modified). Or is there a recommendation for a simple (!) app which can set this color? many thanks Gerald
You didn't search properly. There is a thread in the themes and apps section with a fix.

There is a reason why the status bar is grey and it's the same reason why you shouldn't have a black background on a amoled screen: screen burn.
In short dark colours corrode your beautiful and very expensive screen.
My suggestion: switch to a grey background!
Ps.Once you get used to the grey status bar, a black one looks odd!
Hi,
I'm currently on NeatRom XXUFMB3 (android 4.2.1), using the latest version of Apex launcher (1.4.4)
and since I upgraded, I now have this half-an-inch-ish shaded bar / shadow underneath my notification bar on homescreen - never had it before; it's hiding the top of the homescreen wallpaper, it's just annoying and I want to get rid of it but I have not managed so far.
Yes, I did search the Internet and could not find any clear explanation ,not knowing how to define it in the first place!
Is it related to android 4.2.1 or Apex Launcher (BTW in Apex, homescreen settings > hide shadows is checked but does not seem to change anything)
can anyone help please ?

Known bug of the leaked firmware
Set a live wallpaper and then your wallpaper again. That will remove the shading for sometime. It'll come back, though. We've got to live with it till this issue is fixed, possibly in a future firmware.

Where is it? I updated to new version, checked/unchecked in settings etc. Notification bar still seems like it's from phone and does not have new Themer options.

Installed the new version and when I expand the Notification Bar I see the new function. Would be nice to set items are displayed, but guessing maybe in future update.

Hi, the notification toolbar refers to the bar that appears once you pull down the notification bar, that displays the shortcuts as shown below.
http://imgur.com/wA7l7w6
still don't get it. here's a screenshot of my notification toolbar. there's no themer option there, nor is it add-able
...
If you are using touchwiz, you wouldn't need it. If you use nova launcher, there is an option.
Otherwise you are out of luck atm, I believe.
Also, next time atleast mention the correct device, not somethingelse like g3. Your topic was not wrongfully moved, your own fault.

I mentioned I used certain apps previously on the G3. Should have been more clear on that. This is for the note 4 which I now own. However I learned that I could manually change the color for individual apps with tinted status bar mod thru exposed. It's kind of a pain getting them to match. I thought the app would automatically match the status to the action bar color.
Sorry
Use colour picker app from play store, you'll get the colours to match easily, this is what I've done in the past with status bar tint on my m7

Take a screenshot and use this site to get a color match. Works perfectly.
Thx
I just got an Android 11 phone and to my dismay some older apps that display generally in a dark theme have an unmatching ugly white nav bar. This module turns nav bars black.

What phone, and can you make a semi transparent black for light and dark mode nav bar option

I have a OnePlus 9. But the xposed module will hopefully work on any Android 5.0 or higher phone.

It could be done, but since the apps won't be adapted for it, it might well obscure some app buttons at the bottom of the screen, so I am not inclined to do it. But if you want to, you can take the source code and just change opacity = 0xff to whatever you like in Hook.java.

In laposed what is supposed to get selected in scope system framework and systemui?
Or do I need to select every app that has a white navbar?

Finally, one that works. Tried on my Samsung Note 9 on Android 10. Thank you for sharing this module.
Edit: Turned out, it interferes with a button on my installed calendar app. I can't click a button at the bottom. I had to un-select my calendar app in LSposed. For my other apps, this module works fine so I still use it.
I just added two nav bar options in addition to black:
- 50% translucent
- match status bar (white when status bar is whitish; else black)

Hi arpruss, I can't find the settings to get to these added navbar options.
Can you guide us how to get to those options?
Thank you.

Tap on "Navigation bar."
Thank you. I found it
Hi @arpruss , would you consider adding another option for the nav bar to match the status bar color? For example when status bar is blue then nav bar is blue also.
Works perfectly on Oreo, thanks a lot
Hey, sorry for multipost but I wanted to push it to the top..
I'm on Oreo with the last, fully working version of Xposed as magisk module.
I noticed that some apps fail to "acknowledge" the navbar with your module enabled and that results in bottom bar,if they have one, being behind it and not being able to see or use it.
Can you please look into this issue?
Thanks for the module, I've been looking for something like this. Been using Nacho Notch to simulate something similar.
Seems like it can create some oddities in some apps. For example I've enabled it for YouTube (Vanced) and when I try to post a comment it refuses to show the comment box above the keyboard. Very odd issue, but it's fixed when I disable the module.
Also I cannot force the statusbar to be black?
I'm on Android 10 with an Xperia 5 ii

Yeah, I had the same problem.
Some apps even don't show the bottom menu if they have it.
It's really a pity cause I use both navbar customized with GravityBox and Xposed Edge for gestures and can't imagine my life without both of them lol ;P
So I have to bear the white navbar for now
What if I want some black navbar to white?
