Today something happened to S Health app (began to crash on start). After the restarting Galaxy S5, the S Health app opened clean. All the data was lost. So, I started to use S Health from the scratch and tried to sync with Gear Fit. But, all I got is today's steps. No data for previous dates, no sleep data, no activity data. But I can see all this data on my Gear Fit.
Is it possible to sync it somehow with S Health again? Why there is no any data in S Health, only today's data?

it has sth to do with the timestamps s health uses to determine if it should add or overwrite data. so i think what happend is now that your data from the s health app is gone whatsoever the s health app is now treating the data from the gear fit as old data which it will not add. i hope you understand what i mean i had this problem on my s4 too but due to another reason
sadly i don't know how to fix it

Hi Everyone
I tried to find this with a search but no luck.
I have recently noticed that I seem to be using more data than I normally do. Looking into this I see that exchange services is constently using data. I have about 2MB or more per day just for this. I have my work email setup on this but it is manual sync and I have not sync this for some months now. Does anything else use exchange services? It just seems that I eat up much more data than i ever did before.
Any suggestions? I am thinking about rooting this phone. Would this be of any help to an issue like this?
thx
I use Exchange and have it set to push. I get 50+ emails a day and it uses <100 k per day.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
I also use exchange in push mode. I use Moxier Mail as I prefer it over the stock client. I get fewer emails than moorecomp, however like him, I also get negligible data traffic.

Thx for the replies. I know, I have used exchange on this phone for almost a year now with very low data useage. I looked again at my exchange data rate and I have used 120mb in 13 days. I have not received any email through exchange during this time. Something has changed and is just draining data. Could it be some other program that uses exchange for something?
Thx again
Well for now I am just turning my data off unless I need it. This may be OK as it really saves on my battery as well. I downloaded a data switch widget and we will try that for a while.
Does anyone think that rooting and running a rom could help with this problem?
Thx

Go under Settings-> Data Usage and scroll down to Exchange Services and select it. Check to see how your data is consumed, foreground or background. I'm guessing it is mostly background data. So what you can do is click on the check box below to deactivate the background data on this application only. No need to entirely cut off your data. When you want to check your work email, just uncheck the background data to allow the exchange service to kick in and then refresh. Because you are already manually checking your email, this shouldn't affect you much and it will get rid of the data Exchange is eating.

Hey Thx. I did not know that feature was there.
I am not sure I am posting in the proper place. I have a Gear Fit S2 that I use daily for workouts. I have used since August without issue. In November, the S Health app has stopped uploading to Strava. Strava says it is not them. Samsung says it is probably an update issue and I should wait a few months to see if it fixes itself. SERIOUSLY? Any help is appreciated. My Polar and Garmin upload to Strava without a problem.
I sync to Strava as well with my last run on Jan 9th successfully importing.
Strava recalcs the data and it never matches S-Health, but I've gotten used to it.
I was having the same problem recently. Thanks to a post on reddit from a year ago, found a solution.
Clear the cache on the S Health app, force stop, then reopen. Sync'd my ride (map, elevation, speed, HR) within 30 seconds from doing that.
I posted this a few weeks ago
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-fit/help/strava-syncing-correctly-t3714420
A quick search for Strava would have found this.
Your original post:
"Have now managed to fix this problem with the following steps:
1. Clear cache for the Samsung Gear Fit app.
2. Clear data.
3. Force stop.
4. Re-pair Gear Fit 2 with the app again.
5. Re-enable GPS on the Gear Fit 2.
This appears to have resolved my issues and I have used it twice since i did this."
This doesn't work for me. Previously, I found that uninstalling the updates in the Samsung HEALTH (not Gear) app would get it speaking to Strava again, but this resets all the app's settings which is very annoying if you use the app a lot like I do. If you're going to try this, don't forget to sync your Samsung data first.
I'm finding that my morning rides are syncing to Strava immediately, but my evening rides, after 5pm (GMT) don't sync until precisely midnight. This makes me thing Strava is restricting Samsung's access to its API somehow.
google/facebook login
In my case I am using a gear S3 with S health.
Have tried the steps above but nothing changed.
Now I changed login method from "use google account" to the regular strava login with mail and password.
Seems to work now!
Had to delete the pairing between strava and s health and pair them again by using the regular login method.
PS: If you dont have a password at strava because you used the google/facebook login:
Logout, click the "regular" login button and try the "forgot password" link with your google/facebook email adress to create one.
Edit: Seems that it works better then with the google login, means the activities are uploaded to strava. Sadly they are sometimes uploaded with great delay, often at the next morning.
How did you unpair s health and strava thanks
How did you unpair s health and strava thanks
I am using the german translation, so maybe the steps are called slightly different in the english app then my suggestions:
Open the s health app on your phone.
Go to settings -> connected services.
Strava should be marked with a green dot.
Click on strava. The pairing should be gone (the dot is grey now).
Maybe there is a security question if you are really sure to unpair...
Until a couple of weeks ago my Gear Fit 2 was syncing perfectly using the Samsung Health app. Now though it only records the time of rides and runs and nothing else. Doeas anyone know what is causing this? I have submitted a ticket with Strava, but have yet to get a response.

SO my Watch GT has stopped synching with my M20P
Has worked flawlessly for the last couple of days since I got it but since 1030 this morning it Gets to 63% and then says "Sync Failed. Try Again.
Ive tried clearing the Health App cache(both in App and Via Apps Settings) , unpairing and even resetting the Watch but still the same.
As it still wouldn't synch I completely wiped Healths data via App settings and restarted (which prompted Health to Update as Watch GT not visible)
Re Paired the 2 devices and still gets to 63-67% and fails to complete synching
Update.
Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Health App also made no difference even after a further Watch Reset so dived into the privacy setting and unticked Cloud Backup and cleared all Personal Data in cloud before uninstalling health app, resetting Watch and then reinstalling Health App.
Now it synchs again

Can share how exactly you did this? I can not pair mine today. The list of devices in Huawei health is not updating.

First Question .
Have you ever paired them?
Based on my playing around yesterday then if you have then the updated list of Watches stays there until you clear the Data from the App or Uninstall/Reinstall it , at which point it connects to Huaweis servers to get an updated list which includes the GT.
I have a problem with syncing steps to the iOS Health app. It seems that the Health app is prioritizing the steps from the iPhone and not the Bip.
I tried delete the iPhone step data from the health app and then sync Mifit and then the Bip data is presented correctly. Just like I want. But I don't want to delete iPhone steps every day.
Any ideas?

I solved it. If I go in to the healt app > steps today > sources. Select 'change' and I can drag the Mifit app to the top of the sources and that's it. Works fine!
