[Q] Disable select input method notification

Is there any way for me to remove this from the notification bar? It seems to me unnecessary
I use the stock rom if that makes any difference
Yeah I find that to be a little annoying as well...
I get around this by making sure I use the back button and exit out of the keyboard completely after using the messaging app, this takes the notification away until I re-use the keyboard for txting, etc.
That I know, I want to remove ir completely... That's what I need help with
I don't think it's possible to get rid of through a settings option as such, but if you really wanted to you could try your hand at decompiling and removing the notification at the coding level (smali & xml, etc)...
Or politely ask a dev to look into it
Ask a dev it is, cause I don't have the slightest notion of android coding... Now, can someone kindly point me in the direction of a dev?
You could edit the status bar image and make it transparent as a temp fix?

If you have root, you can more the stock keyboard from /system/app to /data/app , and move the keyboard you wish to use the other way (/data/app to /system/app).
This changed the default keyboard for me, enabling me to deselect the stock one, thus removing the notification (It doesn't come up if you only have one input method enabled.)
AOKP roms have the option to disable that entirely btw.
Do you all mean the keyboard switcher in the status bar when typing a text?
If so, see the link in my sig...

In AOKP Rom, Settings -> ROM Control -> General UI -> uncheck "Show IME Switcher" -> ???? -> Profit?
Solved!
Try this:
Browse to /data/system/inputmethod
Delete subtypes.xml
Reboot
Now, if you've another input method you want you'll have to open the xml doc and remove entries to the one which keeps popping up (for me it was Google voice input - but luckily I'm still able to use the voice search in Google Now despite deleting subtypes.xml )
Otherwise, this should work. I tried unticking all but one input methods in the settings menu but it never worked. This does.

Remove Select Input Notification HTC
I know this is a old thread put you can remove the notification even if you don't have root. I have HTC to go Settings - Apps- All - Go To Touch Input Click Disable - Then Go to Settings - Language and Keyboard Remove Checkmark Next to Google Voice Typing - Restart Phone No more Select Input Notification. This method should work for any device although the name of the stock keyboard in the first step may be different.

How to remove Gmail labels sidebar?

I just flashed a new rom and flashed Gapps, Gmail wasn't included so i downloaded it from the market. This version now has my labels (Inbox, Junk, Starred, etc etc) on the left side of the app. I don't want them there i like having just my inbox full screen. But i can't seem to find a way to remove it.
Anyone have this as well and know how to get rid of it? Sorry for asking a dumb question but i didn't find a solution when searching.
It's a dpi setting that makes it dual panel. What rom are you on so I or someone else can walk you through changing it?
It's usually under "hybrid" settings.
Thank you for the reply and the tip! I have rootbox rom installed and was actually able to disable it, but since reflashed so if you knew where the actual setting was, i am not sure what i did that turned it off. SO many setting choices and options, really a tad overwhelming!!
Thanks so much for your help!
On root box you would open system settings, touch hybrid, slide window right, touch apps, then app you want to change. In this case touch gmail. It's probably set to 250dpi. Move slider up to 320, touch launch and PRESTO!

Is it possible to disale keyboard fullscreen in landscape mode?

Hi all
I have used a rooted S2 ever since I got it. But with rooting being as it is right now and not wanting to lose fingerprint sensor, trip KNOX etc. I do not want to root for now.
Surprisingly I really like the samsung keyboard. However, just like any other keyboard I tried, it switches to fullscreen in landscape mode. Which on such a big screen is completely unnecessary and annoying.
Is there any way of disabling this without root access? Any way at all?
Thanks guys!... and gals
I would love to know also. ..
Can tasker be used to switch to floating keyboard in landscape?
probably only with root

Overlay Screen Detected

Overlay Screen Detected
Hello, first I'm sorry for poor English, but I will try the best for it.
I'm having issues with my G5 (H-860) after latest update (V10e-AME-XX) I'm getting screen overlay detected on my phone when i want to set permission for new download app. I follow the instruction to turn off in setting but it's not solved. The problem still in there. I've tried several suggest from google:
1. From quick search google, it's said because the application for setting the brightness like lux or twilight, but i don"t have the application like that in my phone.
2. I'm going to turn off all application who have permit to draw over other apps, but still doesn't success. and some application can't be set on or off.
3. I'm going to safe mode and want to change the permission setting from the application i want to set, but the problem still exist! even in safe mode this screen overlay detected still pop out.
4. Lastly, I'm going to factory reset (hard reset). It's success. I'm download application and set permission setting to all of them. But in the next few hours, the problem coming again!
I've tried every solution on the internet.
please help me if one of you can solved this problem. Imagine instagram and whatsapp doesn't have permission to send photo or a single file.

Hey, there is a Xposed Module called NoOverlayWarning which should solve your problem:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.crossbowffs.nooverlaywarning
Brightness apps aren't the only ones causing it btw, apps like Status Bar Mini or Side App Bar do too. But yes, that Xposed module gets rid of that annoying message

Remove effects of SystemUITuner

Hey all, I was wondering what are the procedures to restore the settings of my device before I installed SystemUITuner. I have a Galaxy S8 running Android Pie, and I recently installed the SystemUITuner app and accidentally changed the colour of the navigation bar, but I couldn't figure out how to restore it back to it's original color and it's really annoying me. I tried uninstalling the app but nothing happened. Also, I couldn't seem to find an option in the app where I could remove the settings and restore back to normal settings.
Your reply would be so much appreciated.
Thanks.
