Hello
I just installed CM 10.2 - alpha 11 on my gt-s7710
And it is the best OS I've had on a phone to date. (my first CM)
it's really nice.
but unfortunately I have the problem with (like manny other) "Mobile network not available"
so I'm forced to go back to the original ROM.
is there anyone who can help or can the impressive developers say anything about when they expect to have a solution to this?
or would it help to install alpha 10 or CM 11?
Hoping for a solution as soon as possible, I'm about to throw up of the samsung android.

Have to get a logcat to be able to give to the developer for troubleshooting as some do have those issues, but most do not, so it's not a universal issue. Are there other modems to install to try for your phone? Sometimes that can help.
adb logcat -b radio > radio.txt
That will give the developer info on what might be going on. Unfortunately you have to get a few more posts in before you can jump on the developer forums, but you gotta do what you gotta do...

Hi there guys.
Is there anyone working on CM11 for now ? I can't find any info on CM site about i9100 (I believe it should work flawlessly as google wants to support older phones).
Just let me now, please !
Cheers
the guys from the team of CM now versed in the system, because there are many things requiring adaptation. So wait for CM 11 I think is closer to the new year
Here you go.. But it's still in testing stages.. You could test and report to the developer for its development..

You can use OmniRom instead. I used CM 7, 9, and 10, with a Galaxy S1 and then S2. I recently switched to OmniRom because they had a working KitKat rom. Basically a group split off from CM after it became a company, and that group is called OmniRom. CM's i9100 development has all but stopped, but the OmniRom have KitKat rom nightiles that are quite stable. I'm using as my daily driver, and all features work. My phone is faster that it was on CM10.2.
OmniRom:

Download for i9100:

XDA Forum thread:

Nightly Changelog:
https://changelog.omnirom.org/#/i9100/next
Note: As per the XDA thread, you need SuperSU and GApps. Please use Paranoid Android's GApps modular mini. The full one didn't work for me, and others have said the same.
The only bugs I'm having with OmniRom are:
(1) Automatic time zone (set it manualy)
(2) The OpenDelta over the air updater doesn't work properly yet.

Good luck.

Problems to execute Cm11 on my s2
Hello, I wonder if any Modder or Dev could help me.
I have a Galaxy s2 I9100 stopped there two years, and recently tried to install Cm11 him, and when I start the phone it loads the bootloader Cyanogem Mod, and then a message "Shutting Down Power Off" appears.
I tried using other versions as Slim Know, Paranoid, Pac Rom, etc ... and all the same thing happen. I decided to go back to official samsung 4.1.2 rom, it worked okay, but the phone does not load, an error appears stating that the phone battery with this high temperature, but the phone does not heat up, it is normal temperature coma.
I took the phone in technical assistance, which found that the problem is in the motherboard. I wonder if any Modder or Dev could help me on how to disable it in CM11 rom, or which file responsible for turning off the phone in case of failures. Thanks in advance
(Sorry for my bad english)
Handwriting to text
Hey
I was just wondering if cm11 has a handwriting to text feature.? I can't seem to find it, if it has it.
Hi everyone, after seeing a mammoth 6 to 8 new downloads, can anyone give the best advice and experience:
1. Which is their favourite
2. What does not work in 1 above
3. In the most recent versions bluetooth does not work, can we therefore save the relevant libs-etc-files from a working version, and replace them
4. Does anyone still have the old HWMOD overclocked version, to use as base before trying 1 above
5, Although this has been asked before, how can we repartion the ex SDCard successfully on 301.
Unfortunately I cant post on the developer threads, but I do assure you I have read all of them - approx 750 threads including androidiani.
Many thanks and kind regards to all, and moreso to those who can clarify the above!!!!
:highfive:
To add more to the only debate on this issue, Q_ and A.
Ok We have around 201309 10.1 or 10.2 around the same date the CM version , there is a KitKat release and AOKP.
Saw the thread with a lot of replies concerning the CM 10.1 release and " who likes it". B.T. working, HDMI issues etc etc.
However , given that many , posters seemed to appreciate the 10.1 version , nearly all could not post on the developer thread due to min 10 posting restriction.
So here I am again, asking , which of the original ROMĀ“s, and new ICS, JB or KK versions are the most appropriate for this Mediapad 301 as far as anyone has experience.
The last entry on After_Silence V 10.1 General thread, seems to suggest that CM10.1 201309 is probably the best bet so far, however the KitKat or CM10.2 OR Evervolv, may have evolved since then, anyone any ideas.
Furthermore , given that CM10.1 offers /data/media does this mean I can actually use my Ext. sdcard, instead of filling my measly 5GB sdcard
Any help most appreciated, including any other tips on other versions specific to the Mediapad 301xxx

Hey guys,
with RR being the rom i like best (mostly due to its insane custom features), and because i don't really know how to build from source, i attempted to port it by merging the RR of my 6p with the cyanogenmod for the z4 tab( following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/guide-how-to-port-lollipop-marshmallow-t3283452 ) . I was expecting it to work without major issues due to the hardware of both devices being mostly the same, but on the first try i got a "systemUI has stopped" and nothing else. Then i replaced systemUI with the version of cyanogenmod and got it to show the navbar and notification bar but it reboots if i try to push any buttons (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64ez0TpIrf0). At this point i'm pretty much out of ideas, so if maybe some of you know about anything useful for such issues or maybe someone knows of a guide or some general directions for building roms from source i would be very happy. (BTW, tried running adb logcat with it plugged in and it doesn't find the device but i'm not sure if its the problem with android or my setup because i haven't tried with other devices)
EDIT:
got a great offer for my z4 and sold it, getting a windows tablet/laptop, so this post can be ignored as i will no longer be trying to port RR
Oh wow. It would be awesome to have Resurrection Remix on the Z4T. Sounds like you'll need help from an experienced dev though.

Lol. Ah well.
I have entered the world of modding and found my way to this forum because of Pokemon Go.
I wanted to give the game a try to see what all the fuss is about but can't run it on my phone - it's a blackberry provided by my employer.
So I dug out an old S3 I9300 from the drawer of old phones, but soon found that the version of Android (4.3 Jelly Bean) is too old. I am very IT literate and technically capable so I started researching what to do. I have now rooted my phone and have the following ROM and GAPPS files ready to go - CM11 (Kit Kat), CM12 (Lollipop) and CM13 (Marshmallow).
I don't need any technical help, just advice on which ROM to go for. Should I just go for the latest (CM13) or is that unstable and too much for my phone. Or should I go with CM11 because that is the latest 'official' CyangenMod release. Or should I go with CM12 as a comprise between newness and sufficient releases to address any problems.
My main aim at the moment is to play Pokemon but now that I have discovered modding I suspect that I will be experimenting more.
Cheers,
Nigel
I googled and looks like all 3 CM supports Pokemon Go but:
I also found out that there's no CM12 for gs3
Also, there's no more update for CM11 as CM13 is released, right?
OR you can wait for CM14 actually as Android N is almost done :silly:
But, for now, I would recommend CM13
Just yesterday I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab E (SM-T560) and immediately I rooted it. The device is running Android 4.4.4 KitKat. While I think for the price this tablet is fantastic, I want Marshmallow on this device. I don't believe hardware is a limiting factor here based on the research I did, although I am very aware that the tablet is not a flagship by any means. I got the tablet as a device to mess around with, but after hours of searching I cannot find any custom ROMs for this device. Cyanogenmod don't even support this device. This came as a huge surprise to me as this tablet is pretty popular and from 2015. I kept on looking and apparently a lot of people had trouble rooting this device, so I'm wondering if this is why there has not yet been any ROMs released for the device. The device is just about usable in this state, but coming from someone with three phones all running Android 6.0 and above (two of those devices being Nexuses) using KitKat and moreover KitKat skinned with TouchWiz is a lot to get used to.
Does anyone know of any custom ROMs for the SM-T560? Maybe I'm just blind and missed something. If there aren't any ROMs, would building a version of Cyanogenmod 13 be the best option? Also, I am very curious: Why have we not yet seen any ROMs? Popularity isn't an issue, neither is specs, the rooting process was painless for a newbie like me, so I'm really interested to know.
Thanks!
