hey i really need help i tried to fined a answer about my music player.
randomly my music stops and will not continue till i reset my phone.
its not tilt stop or any thing iim using CM11 but it happened on omni rom and cyenfox too.
it happens with every music player and rom but on Bluetooth it dosent happen only speakers and aux.
i have my galaxy s2 universal from when it lunched and it started half a year ago and didnt have any solution for it .
so again i really need with this help.

This is a 'known issue' with CM11. It happens with EVERY version of it. Some people it affects, some it doesn't........
Afraid you either live with it until a fix is found, or you revert to CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2

what i tried to tell you its with other roms too.
so there is no solution yet ?
As said earlier,all KitKat roms faces this issue.
Solutions?As of yet - NONE.
Devs are working hard on it,so there's still some hope.
This has been fixed but I forget which one fixed it. I'm sure its carbon ROM . I'm on s3 though so may not have passed down the fix to s2. I know this has been fixed but I just forget. I'll try and find the dev/rom who did it
Right pa 4.4.2 is working fine with jetaudio pro. Forget were I got that apk

M8 is a nice phone. Looks really nice and a good choice IMO. S2 thread are like crack to a crack head to me lmao. I'm addicted to them. I wish I got a new laptop and not the s3. S2 was/is a great phone and new people are getting one every day and still ask the same old questions mb is the man! Hopper8 top man and you're good self is all I see now. You're going, hopper8 will go, mb will one day go, gastown I ent got a clue were he went? Immortalneo mia but set up a good thread for me to follow lol soon it will be a sad place for me to come. As you can tell the s2 ment a lot to me.
And Odin is now my friend because of the s3. Am happy I never once used it on the s2 haha
I still visit the W's forum......ilke here, I have a guide there that needs maintaining......only ever used odin on my S2 once.....and have used it on my W to return it to stock......

is this your next phone mate (M8 hahha )? Looks amazing but they cost so much! It would be my first choice of phone but I just can't spend that much on a phone.. Think my next one will be Nexus 5 in a couple of months, it's much much cheaper. But I will be more than slightly jealous if you get the M8
Yeah...expensive now, but in 6 months (or so) time when my current contract ends, it should be cheaper.......I hope
Also considering the Z2 as an alternative.......The Sony *looks* easier to root, but I'm not sold on it's glass rear.....and the aluminium body of the M8........what can I say?

So im buying an SGS2 in few hours, its used, so i wanted to ask, what kind of tests i can do on the fly to determinate if the phone is at good condition, doesn't have any issues with hardware?
if it turns on and off first.. then your good to go....check if its rooted and go into settings and scroll down to the bottom and check the firmware what its like...test the camera and then just see if there are any scratches and stuff like that...make sure that there are no passwords on the phone so you do not get locked out and that kinda stuff
Lul what he said. But you could boot it up in download mode and check how many custom roms he had been using. And if he has, then you could ask him about overclocking... cause the hardware could be damaged cause of that...

The bootloader is officially unlocked and CWM is available for Recovery. Also looks like CM9 is under beta testing on the prime and we should see it coming within a matter of days..This is where the real fun begins.
So who's gonna flash their Primes once this kicks into higher gear as high gears are rotating already!?
As soon as I figure out why CM9 is so amazing I'll probably jump on it. I don't know much about CM since the last unlocked phone I owned was the OG Droid and I don't remember which roms I use to install since it use to get changed every week. But im excited to see the development with this.
i'm going to wait with flashing untill there are some good roms!
The Prime is running a fairly stock version of Android and that is all I ever want out of my Android devices. I have used CM in the past (CM7 on my EVO) and while I enjoyed it quite a bit, in a lot of cases there were just <i>too many options</i>.
I know that sounds silly, but honestly a lot of the settings were confusing, either in placement, because settings in one area over-rode settings in another without warning, or because the settings just weren't explained well.
CM9 (or any other ROM) would have to be completely amazing, and that includes all of the Prime's hardware 100% working in order for me to consider going through the bother of unlocking the bootloader on my tablet and flashing a new ROM.
I will definitely be flashing, just for the prospect of having Ubuntu proper up and running.

I had my prime since the beginning of January so i cant return it to the store. I dont have any dead pixels or light bleed. Gps doesnt really work but i havent tried since i flashed to ics. If something was gonna warrant me to return my prime it probably would of happened already. i am itching to get off work so i can unlock and throw on cwm recovery. and just wait for the roms to start coming in.

I did and it's working perfectly so far
I posted some benchmarks on the ROM Thread, it's pretty fast and the OC is nice and easy.
Yeah..im unlocking the bootloader now...literally about to click ok on the EULA agreement.. have you had any issues at all?? have you tested GPS, WIFI, and battery drain and compared it to stock? I'd like to know, thanks.

It will eed to be a VERY enticing ROM to make me willing to throw away 10 months of warranty coverage on a device that, let's face it, has has it share of issues. (and then some!)
Frustrating is what it will be for some. Agonizing for others. Then there are those that say screw it, you only live once! What a shame if your bricked your Prime flashing a ROM, only minutes after blowing away your ability to replace or repair it under warranty.
Maannn...im slowly joining the "im considering it" group as I just cant force myself to push the ok button on that EULA agreement for unlocking. ..too much money to just theoretically toss in the trash when i got bills to pay...too many "what if's" honestly Ive had the Prime since early January and ive had no problems with Wifi, bluetooth but GPS is completely non functional..theres some dead pixels in the middle and 3 bright dots on the right side looking like a constellation...I notice them and yeah it did bother that they were there once I saw them but thats not enough a reason to return to ASUS for me personally as everything else works like a miracle..but the what if somthing happens a couple months down the road and im stuck with a dead tablet will make Drew a dull boy. ..thats whats itching my neck and pulling a $500 pay out for another tablet is not going to happen unless its some crazy Tron or Ironman 2 device that has 3d holograms and what have you..i'll give it another couple minutes before i make my final decision..im at work anyways so i'll go ship a PC out and come back hopefully with my final decision..=P

So here's the story. My Captivate just died on me randomly. I tried pulling battery, plugging in the charger and out. I even dropped it a couple times for good measure to see if it suddenly starts up. It's only been a day but I'm assuming the worst and believe it's dead now (good one and half years). Right now At&t has the Samsung SGs2 for $10 to upgrade until March 28 and my upgrade eligibility just kicked in. Do you guys think it's better to wait until better phones come out or just pull the trigger now? I can't go without a phone for a long time so I need to decide soon lol.
I know the SGS2 doesn't have 4G LTE and only the fake 4G, but I'll be sticking to wifi mostly anyway so it's not a huge deal. I just know the Nokia Lumia is coming next month and it looks great, but I'd rather stick to android at this point, plus that phone will be $200 to upgrade compared to $10 for SGS2 lol.
Man, if u can wait another 3 months and if ur upgrade allows, go for GS3.
Till then GS2 is the Champ.

That's definitely true for electronics lol. Don't ever ask this question for laptops. Someone will always tell you to wait for the next great thing in processors, GPU, HDD, cheaper SSD drives or w/e. Then ppl will come on n troll the ppl who say this and things go south quick lol.

And that's the big delima right now. I'm leaning towards buy since the price factor. I wouldn't pay $200 even for a brand new SGS3, I'd have to wait for it to drop under $100.

FYI, AT&T GS2 is the SGH-I777. This is the I9100 forum. If you do end up getting the phone from ATT, make sure you only flash firmwares for the I777.
Also, ATT DOES have an LTE enabled GS2 called the Skyrocket, which is yet another phone (SGH-I727). Both of these phones have their own, separate forums. Again, if you get THIS phone, make sure you only flash firmwares for this phone.

But i just read that there are something called Sudden death and that chip brick? or if those are the same.
Well basicly i wanted to ask if its safe to buy a S3 or if those are still big risks ? ^
Just wanna know if its recommend and if it doesnt has problems ^^
I probably wont root it nor anything at the start,
First wanna be sure it works properly before ripping the guarantee apart
Probably afterwards i may root and do a cyanogen mod rom on it.
But thats still for the future and doesnt rly matter at the moment ^^

Sudden death is supposed to be fixed by the last (or the one before it) update. I don't know anything about chip brick though, so someone else might educate you on that. If all goes wrong, you can "unroot" your device.
I would suggest to wait for Xperia Z, but that's COMPLETELY (=no pitchforks and torches pls) subjective. The main reason is that Samsung is dev-unfriendly, otherwise everything is "good".

It has been updated since 4.1.2 I believe.
Update your phone straight away. Do it through your phone the update. About 200mb file plus some small updates.
I tried doing the update through Kies and the update failed for some reason and had to swap my phone by getting another new one because it wouldn't turn on. STAY AWAY FROM KIES.

Well Xperia Z is imo a bit to much as money goes, Galaxy s3 is alr 500 euro ;P Sony Z is like 650 euro here, So i do not realy want it for that reason alone,

The GS3's got a gpu from 2010, confirmed sudden death issues and it's unconfirmed if they've been fixed, lag everywhere because of touchwiz, dialer and contacts take a year to launch when not in memory. They could be forced to be kept in memory if you want to root and mod to fix what Samsung can't. AOSP roms that perform worse than Windows 98 (also because of Samsung's unwillingness to give us sources)
And that's not even half of it.

Ye i looked on Ebay,
They are like all 560 euro even in the UK,
And those under 500 are 470 euro wich are 8gb versions,
And you cant use MicroSDs so you are stuck on like 6gb ? 4 maybe.
And IF its broken its all that emailing and calling, Then they probably refuse and i gotta start going to LG but they dont wanna accept it due its from the UK and not Belgium so i gotta call UK and ship it to there etc etc.
I pretty much like a real shop instead of starting to buy phones that are this expensive through the internet from a diffrent country tbh.

So has anyone used the GingerbreadPhone7 ROM? here is the link just incase http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17868583, anyways i was wondering if anyone knows a way to receive picture messages with this ROM and also if anyone knows if this ROM functions great? Or does it also have delayed SMS because I think it is based on CM7 but I'm not sure

it runs well and is not based on cm7 . i know that at least. picture messages should work, but i havent tested that before.
ill add that i am also getting tired of the bugginess of cm9 and cm10. i want my phone to just work. and half of the time it barely does. i am starting to think that the "benefits" of 4.0 are not worth all of the hassle i have to go through to run it.

I have the same issue but I also don't want to go to CM7 for delayed messages and just last night I had a problem with a girl cause of it lol but if you have some free time you should figure out of you can make pic messages work on GingerbreadPhone7 because I tested it and i can't receive pics. It seems like we are the only couple people in the forum

theres a few still. but not many. most people are still using cm10 with its 100s of flaws. i have gotten to the point where that is just too frustrating for me any more. i used cm9 for about the past 4 months, longest run with a rom. recently though, all of the glitchiness just has me fed up. sometimes i pull down my notifications and they just arent there. other times my phone reboots itself during a phone call, comes back on and somehow it is still connected to the call. im just really tired of it doing things that i have "learned to live with" or things i dont understand. ill mess around with gingerbreadphone7 a bit this afternoon and see what the deal is.
lets keep our fingers crossed that nitro gets a dx2 and releases more updates for eclipse.
in the mean time i would give PMing peppermint (gp7 OP) a shot.

i just checked and i have until july 9th. so a month and a week. :victory: thank god. what phone are you thinking about getting?
i am leaning towards the razr m , mainly because the DNA doesnt have an sd card slot??! and the s3 is quite a huge phone. i know that a new wave of phones are around the corner, but i also dont really have hundreds of dollars to drop on a new device. so in short, i am for sure staying android. i cant handle the size of the s3. and there arent really many other options....lol
ill just add that if 16g of space is more than enough for you(my music collection squashes that immediately) , then the DNA is for sure the way to go. the specs on it are amazing.

The phone I really like is the Palm Pre Plus because my brother had that phone but I may either get that one or the Galaxy S3 or the Note 2 but I'm not for sure

the palm pre plus .... what in the world. that could quite possibly be the worst decision ever made my mankind. that phone came out BEFORE the droid x2 and is severly outdated. not to mention you cant even find one anywhere unless it is used. they dont sell them anymore. please dont get that phone. for your future childrens sake. im not sure i can even carry on this conversation after that. :silly:

Haha the only reason I wanted to get it was because my brother would sell it to me for 50 dollars :silly: lol but In the end I have been leaning towards the galaxy s3 from US Cellular which is probably what I will end up getting if my job can give me more hours to work a week -.- haha

tell your brother to stop trying to scam you. lol.
i have made my loop around checking out phones and such. i am starting to lean towards the s3 , mainly because of its specs. i LOVE the razr hd, but i am not sure why it only has 1 gig of ram. the s3 has 2 gigs, and i feel like that might be the difference between getting updates for another year or so, and not.

The s3 is fantastic my friend ! My sister and her boyfriend both have it and jeez it runs so smooth I'm jealous of them D: anyways did you ever get around trying to get pic messages to work on GingerbreadPhone7? If not its okay lol

i did try it that afternoon. i was able to get 1 out of 6 picture messages actually sent. very strange. i am actually still running it now, as i am too lazy to switch back to eclipse or sbf at this point, with my upgrade so close. the rom has been abandoned for quite a while now though. although it does look nice .
glad to hear that the s3 seems nice. ! if you are due for an upgrade, it is only 50 bucks on amazon. same price you were gonna pay for the palm... check it out! i want the s4, but i dont have 150-200 dollars to toss at a new phone, and the s3 is not all that different anway. in some ways i like it better.
