I have buy a S4 copy in aliepxress. The brand/factory is Meso, great phone with MTK6589, 1GB RAM, 720p screen (5 Inch), some motion and gesture availible and 1:1 copy, so we can used original back cover and batterie. I want know who in this big and great forum :laugh: have same phone like me (Meso, no HDC Legend).
So with coop, we can translate in our lanaguage (I'm french), beacuse like all chinese phone, not all in french/spanish/italian.... and we can do great ROM for have more RAM, batterie life, maybe fix some bug......

But I could not make Legend's or No.1 S6's ROM work on it
I've got blank screen on both
I guess there are differences on boot.img (Spark display is only 2-point touch, and Legend/S6 are 5-point. Maybe driver issue.
Benchmark is 13000-14000 have air gestur and smart pause, no smart scroll.....

great rom so far, works very well, but has a serious limitation for me:
does not support Bluetooth A2DP and does not support Bluetooth tethering.
i need the first for my bluetooth headset and the latter for the gps device in my car :crying:

Yea Cyanogenmod doesn't include support for USB audio. Sucks. Judging from old postings, I suppose they used to but have not in a long time. My GPE HTC M7 does, but when running CM10 11 or 12 no dice. It's a shame, but I don't know of any workarounds to get it to function other than that crummy audio player app. Not worth remembering what it''s called because it's so bad. Anyhow, bottom line. If you want USB audio, pick a different ROM. Sorry

Is this right rom as shown in screenshot ? You recommended.
AOSIP is the best now. I've used all the XDA ROMs and this has the best kernel and no bugs. Also looking forward for a Pixel Experience update.

IR blaster work. I have the original app from EUI and with it, it works
Led Notifications work too
Wifi Works good
Camera didnt tested
Gps I'm not satisfied with it. I can only get a fix and good gps if I have agps with it

There are some ROMs better than paranoid in battery specially EUI but in mi opinion Paranoid is the best ROM in performance and reliability besides If you install last update (day 25) you do not get any important bug.

Thank you! Do you think any Oreo ROMs compare with paranoid? I am using AICP at the minute but I'm thinking of moving back to paranoid.
I'm trying new roms now from scartch and so far had no luck with Oreo. Lineage 14 is what I came from, but 15 with Android 8.1 is very sluggish. I then tried AOSIP, it's fast but I can't get the camera to work and file drivers crap out after a minute or two when connected to the PC. They just can't seem to get these right, maybe if they worked together there would be one good rom . I'm still on the hunt for a stable rom that does not run like crap myself.

Main reason is my phone getting hot. But we are having hot weather where I am at the minute so it may be that causing it.
Only other problem is the speaker isn't as good as on paranoid android (quieter, not as good quality)

I had the file issue too, since moving to Mokee fingers crossed it has been ok. Plus the loud speaker n mic seem to be ok on this rom. One issue on the current build the speaker output is a little lower than on some other roms when playing videos, other than that it has been good and there are nightly builds that you can install at leisure.

If you are using magisk with mokee, i highly recommend you to use modules busybox + viper4android xhifi. In the app of viper put high clarity to 100 and there is a HUGE different, game changing for me

I bought one a few days ago and got it unlocked and running Mokee.
china rom comes with a few language.....i know english is one of it.
I got mine from the "Xiaomi Online Store" on ali, and it also came with a version of Mokee.

AFAIK Xiaomi does not have official store in Aliexpress, there is Xiaomi Online Store etc..

Somewhat. I just got it today (4GB 64GB WiFi). When I was in the setup it said "something MoKee stopped working" but I haven't noticed any issues related to it yet. The Camera is kind of out of bounds (navbar is above it, hiding part of the button), and the quality leaves a lot to be desired, but in general things work. Play Store came preinstalled, and I've had no other issues so far.
One thing that annoys me is that in the YouTube app, I can't zoom in the video to fill out the screen like I can on my Pixel 2 XL. Another interesting fact is that Substratum came preinstalled, though I guess that's a MoKee feature? I never used that Rom so I have no clue.

Double-tap to wake: the option is there, but it doesn't work. (see video)
MTP: no issues, just like any other android device, select "transfer files" and it'll appear as MI PAD 4 in Windows (and I presume MacOS)

In the software update section is there an option to upgrade via sd card? I would want to put that official miui 9 beta on it that you can download online.

There are no custom ROMs available for the tablet yet; only GSIs atm
There is mokee rom for mi pad 4. My pad from aliexpress arrived with it. I flashed the official ROM myself.
I just got my Mi Pad 4, with unlocked bootloader, a "MIUI Global 9.6 | Stable 9.6.7.0(ODJCNFD)" ROM with gapps.
I don't know what it this ROM. It supports multiple languages, but for example only had Google pinyin keyboard (chinese + english).

Seems like there are two fairly legit ROMs that can be installed at this point:
Mokee Multilanguage "Stock Android" - https://download.mokeedev.com/?device=clover
MIUI China Stable (also with English) - http://en.miui.com/thread-3538488-1-1.html
I would be very suspicious of a ROM that says it is a Global version as apparently this doesn't exist yet for Mi Pad 4 (and may not at all in future)

It should be already unlocked if it came with mokee. Up on boot if u see unlocked key sign, it's unlocked.
