Hello,
I am facing same issues with my sony xperia z ultra.
Sometimes when I wake up the phone to unlock it, the screen is "milky" everything is working properly, but the screen.
To return to normal view, I have to put the phone to sleep and wake it up again few times.
Here are some photos of normal and "milky" screen:

What might be the problem here?

Probably is a bad contact on board wich connect the screen or maybe screen defect...
Screen when turning On
I think I have the same issue as you but mine is different. I have to turn off & on again to get it to the normal screen. Attach you the image below. Any body have suggestions?, maybe changing the flex cable, I dont know:silly:
Dear friends, see this, see in the youtube:

I activated the phone in their own settings of android to show screen touches and strokes that you can see in the video above, and installed YAMTT app to better show the problem.
The Problem on mobile touch in the middle of the screen there is a track that is not recognized touch, but if I press the screen sinking, she returns to work temporarily, and now recognizes the touch - but after a few minutes the problem back and touch is not recognized again.
The screen is perhaps dished up, and when I press down her back to be in contact with the part of the cell that recognizes the touch, but with time the screen should be getting back dished up (this is my guess, not i'm sure).
Detail, not always when I press is running, sometimes I press the screen to the center of the touch again be recognized, but it seems that the phone is registering touches alone.
What would be a solution, and change the screen (it does not mean that changing the screen the problem solved), want to try other alternatives before changing the screen.
Perhaps heating up the screen with hot air, in theory it will expand and become more pliable, and then if I press down the center panel of the phone with something for a while until it cools, in theory the screen would remain indefinitely, and if that is the problem could solve -
Anyone have any thoughts, has been there?
Thanks in advanced!
Hello everyone, today I came reporting another problem I had with the Xperia M4 Aqua.
After my device returned warranty for breaking in my pocket, the device seemed to work perfectly, it was a new device. Today at around 05:00 AM (GMT -3) I went to sleep and when I woke up called the wifi and went back to bed, spent about 5 minutes I found strange that the device had not notified me of nothing and then when I got him, he was very hot (~ 42 ° C) and was off, I tried to turn it several times, but did not answer me. So I use the OFF button that was in the microSD slot, but no answer. Then I hung up the phone and called in volume - and power button, and he called, however, the supposed screen unlock it features a black screen only shows the notification bar (I can also pull it down), and back button. When I press the camera button, it opens the camera and it works normally, I can take pictures and see her in the gallery, but when he is in the gallery and I touch the screen, it comes back to black screen, the strange thing is that he does not ask for a password lock screen, and even shows other buttons besides the back button. The battery when I went to sleep was about 95%, and now 62%. The settings have been reset, but my applications are there.
I will send my device to Sony again, the device is more time with sony than me. I am very disappointed with the Sony handsets, thinking seriously if I will continue with the handsets it.
the subject covers the problem, this happend after mm installed.. was a direct push from sony...
found a couple of threads about turning phone off, then docking then turning phone on. then undock. well now my lock screen goes into landscape kinda nice, but when i swipe up to unlock home screen is in portrait mode. would prefer home screen in landscape while charging. managed to find a app that forces it to work, but does not compress the home screen like the stock lolipop 5.2.1 i think it was, did.
beers
Yeah. This update (570) is as bad as the 5.0.2 build that came without X-Reality. No auto rotation, some sound enhacement features are missing and much more things that keep me from using Marshmallow for more than a full day.
Gee, I thought I was the only one having this issue. Yeah, it's so bad. Even on Facebook when I try to livestream while charging on dock, it's still in Portrait mode.
My wifes tablet started screen spin (continuous change even when on flat surface) now unable to do anything after start up. Any ideas..... I can't use Xperia companion to troubleshoot as it says "locked" and unable to use touch screen successfully to do anything.
