All was good when I first loaded the Liquidsmooth a while back. Per instructions, I was using textra for mms and it was working perfectly. Well, after updating to the April 24th build of Liquidsmooth, I started getting systemui errors once in a while so I updated to the April 28th build Johnny posted on the forum. Two things seemed to happen after that. I could no longer send mms messages unless connected to a Wifi (using Textra) and I also noticed the phone model is listed as 'Evo V 4G', which I don't believe was the case before. I tried restoring to my previous TWRP backup but I still couldn't send mms messages. I even tried flashing over to a ICS Rom then back to liquid smooth. Last night, I did a factory reset wipe then loaded the May 15 release (LS-KK-v3.0-OFFICIAL) but I still can't send mms messages over cellular and the phone model still shows as 'Evo V 4G'. I'm assuming the model should still be listed as Evo V 3D. Can anyone help? Using TWRP 2.6.3 and Hboot 1.50.5050.
thanks!

Okay, my fault for being too quick on the model. Seeing 'LTE' in the options and 4G as the model confused me. I was thinking it should have been EVO 3D. HOWEVER, I still can't send MMS unless on wifi. I ended up flashing Midnight Rom Jellybean and it works perfectly fine. In the meantime, LiquidSmooth has released two updates and I tried flashing both but still had the same problem. I still can't even send a MMS unless on wifi. Any suggestions? I really like the liquidsmooth rom and would like to get back on it but I definitely need to be able to send pictures without being on the wifi.

Is it just me or is anyone experiencing a "Forbidden" error when sending/receiving MMS after updating to AT&T's new ROM with 1.14.25.35 Radio?
I've reflashed the updated AT&T ROM and then flashed NRG's latest 6.5 ROM with the correct Rilphone.dll and still have the Error. I even tried sending from the new stock ROM and got the error. I did this multiple times to make sure it wasn't a bad flash and still have the "Forbidden" error. Did I do something wrong when I flashed the new ROM and Radio? The settings in MMS are correct and I didn't load anything else prior to testing MMS.
At first I thought it was AT&T and wasted over 30 minutes with a rep that knew next to nothing. Then it dawned on me that this all started after I updated to the new ROM/Radio release for AT&T on HTC's website. So, I reverted back to the original shipped ROM with 1.02.25.32 Radio, flashed NRG's latest 6.5 ROM and can now send/receive MMS.
I had the same forbidden error and had to talk to tech support from att.. apparently it's because i had placed my sim into an iphone and we all know iphones can't send mms so it registered into their system that i was using an iphone thereby causing the iphones imei to register to my number hence why it's forbidden to send/receive a mms. did you perhaps do something similar?
ATT0001 file can't open it
Hey Guys... sorry than I can't help to solve your problem.. But i have a problem too with the MMS... what happens is that every time I send or receive a mms to a windows mobile phone comes as ATT0001 file and I can not open .. I need help with this thanks
Loner2DEnd: I did but only to unlock one. I've done this before and have never had that problem up. I only noticed that I wasn't able to send/receive MMS after I had the official update from HTC for the FUZE. I was on the phone with the tech and they told me that using my SIM in an iPhone wouldn't have updated my account. You can log onto your online account with AT&T and see what phone/IMEI is registered with your account. Mine still has my FUZE and correct IMEI. Everything is working now that I reflashed the original shipped ROM with the 1.02.25.32 Radio.
I downloaded another copy of the ROM update from HTC for the FUZE and ran the same tests to see if maybe it was a corrupted file/bad flash and I still had the same issues with MMS. My internet still worked but I got the same Forbidden Error. For now, I'm going to just stay with my current (original shipped) Radio since everything's working.
Dannyedilber: I'm not familiar with that Error. Sorry man. I don't know much about MMS and had to do some homework and some trial and error to finally find this solution. Maybe one of the seniors can answer your question.
I've had this problem a few times but usually fixes itself after a reset or a quick disconnect/reconnect of the radio.
I find that if I leave my data on for an extended period of time, it seems to happen. Almost like AT&T is seeing the high traffic and cutting me off.
Also check to make sure you guys don't have Data disabled in your accounts.
@Dannyedilber: I don't even know what an "ATT0001" file is?
@Loner2DEnd: My wife just returned her iPhone because she said it sucks compared to Windows Mobile (smart girl eh?) and went back to her old Samsung Blackjack. We did this yesterday, after her having the iPhone for a little under 30 days. I just sent her a picture and she got it.
From AT&T
The data network works for all of our devices and the Windows Mobile devices are the only ones that seem to have had some issues with the way the data network is configured. Rather than trying to re-configure and potentially break the network for other users, we have been working on a fix for the Windows Mobile issue. We have a fix that will be implemented by the end of this quarter and we should have the problem resolved at that time.

From AT&T
Just wanted to let you know that I did get an update. The project to "fix" the 403 error is moving forward. Right now we plan to have the implementation complete in June with Project closure in Early July. I will follow up again in about a month to see the status and provide closure information.
Just for clarification: This project hasn't slipped a month, we keep the project open during a "soak" period to ensure that everything is going as expected. Also, as we apply the fix to the elements in the network the fix will be applied to certain markets and complaints should drop for that market dramatically. I haven't seen this issue in a while here so I believe that the patch has been applied for the Minneapolis market.

An easy temporary fix is to put your phone into flight mode and then take it out. A new data connection almost always works. Worst case scenario soft reset the phone.
so its by market then?
I flashed the new rom about last week, had no issues receiving and sending MMS on it and on NATF's 4.7 rom.
Still No MMS

My MMS is not working incoming or outgoing. I have tried it from TF3D2, Titanium, after reset, after airplane mode and reset with no success. I put my SIM card in my backup phone and MMS send and receive worked flawlessly. I do not get the forbidden error message some of you have gotten; it just does not work. I have reset the RegEdit keys several times and they are currently set at 1.2mb. I know that 6oo K is at&t max, but the two test MMS messages are 77K and 317k. Thanks - David.

It sounds like you have a different issue altogether. My posts were answers from AT&T strictly for the 403 forbidden issue.
Player911 sorry that I was not very specific...whats happening is when I send a ATT MMS to someone who have a HTC touch pro to her hotmail account.. she can't open it because the picture come as ATT0001.. even when I send att MMS to myself at my email account I receive as a ATT0001
Need help with this guys.. please
Sorry my english
Hi All:
First off thank you for the info in resolving this issue. Since swithing back to the original shipped ROM with radio 1.02.25.32 then flashing EnergyROM 3.0 Phoenix 6/12, I've had no problems with MMS Forbidden Error. It's been a week now and I've had no data/network issues either. I'll try again with the new Radio/ROM this weekend when I have some free time and will report back. Thanks everyone!
Tru using a registry editor and go in and change the registry in Arcsoft under HKLM>Software>Arcsoft>Arcsoft MMS UA>Config>MM1>MMSCSetting>SampleMMSC>Wap1SendDefault and Wap2SendDefault and change to a desired number. For instance, I have 102400 set to send up to 1MB.
See if that allows you to send.
try enabling ATT's proxy. This always works for me.
1. Enable the proxy
2. Kill the data connection
3. Reconnect data
4. Try sending or receiving.
This has worked countless times for me.
Hey, Yesterday i rooted my evo 3D, hboot 1.3, and before my root i could receive/send texts perfect.
But i installed the Htc one port for the Evo 3d and it messed up my messages and i wasnt able to send and receive,

For the past 2 weeks, I thought it was just chance that no one had texted me back, but I think something with my Rooted/S-OFF Evo V 4G has gone awry. I'm currently on the SonySan CyanogenMod 9 (Android 4.0.4) with (H-Boot Eng 1.04) and I think my SnapChat is a little messed up as well, the FFC's preview is a very distorted image, but after the picture taken, nothing is distorted, but I haven't received many pictures in return when people say they respond. I have no problem sending texts, calling, or receiving calls, but texts are never received. I've flashed new ROMs with clean installs and factory wipes, but nothing has worked. I tried ##VIRGIN# and ##MSL# but they don't work on my ROM. Any ideas?
Update: Now on Dastin's CM10 4.2.1 and after another factory restore + dalvik/cache wipe there has been no change.
This is driving me insane ):
Prior to installing the ViperOne ROM I had an issue with missing occasional group MMS after updating the stock phone to 4.4.4 when the update came out in late January. I rooted the phone and flashed ViperOne without any difficulties (now running 4.3) hoping that in addition to getting the advantages of running a custom ROM I would no longer miss out on texts but this is still going on. I did a factory reset and full wipe prior to flashing the ROM. I've tried using different SMS apps still with the same issue. Basically some group MMS's go through while others don't and the only way to know is by checking the messages.att.net website where texts are backed up (i tried disabling this and it didn't work either). People have had a similar issue here -https://forums.att.com/t5/Android/HTC-One-M8-MMS-problem-since-4-4-4/td-p/4193100 - but since I'm now running a 5.0 ROM I thought I'd reach out here to see if anyone with an AT&T HTC One M8 has had issues missing group MMS.
Thanks
Having the same problem with my wife's stock phone. An additional problem she is also having: when she is on wifi, mms messages she does get don't download but do over the att data connection. Betting that's a seperate issue, but wanted to bring it up?
I'm having the same issue...getting annoying.

I am having the same issue. I am thinking of trying installing the 4.4.3 firmware on the phone again and testing it out, see if there are any issues. I love having lollipop, but missing group texts is more important to me than some cosmetic features. I will let you guys know how it goes!

In the case of your wife, MMS won't download over WiFi. It only downloads over Cellular Data so you have to use data to get MMS messages. Try going into the messages app settings and turn on the MMS auto-retrieve. Should fix the problem.

I've been having the same problem on my phone. I get regular texts fine, but sometimes i can't send or receive pictures via MMS. I've been trying to research this, and on some other forums, people think it has to do with the 4.4.4 software having issues that ATT won't acknowledge. It also looks like the problem has carried over to the new software version, according to some of the comments. One person even said it might have something to do with sending/receiving texts from people with iphones that have imessage turned on. This is all anecdotal, of course, I have seen no official answer from HTC/ATT/Google.
I'm thinking I'll install CM11 this weekend and see if that solves the problem.
Although I don't often need SMS functionality from my tablet, I have noticed that for the last few months I can no longer send text messages.
It used to work - I have GoSMS installed and can see messages I sent in January. After talking to O2 UK for over an hour, I took a trip to my local store, where they tested my SIM which IS working fine - when it's not in my N9!
I tried a factory reset.
My tablet is locked and not rooted. I updated to 5.1.1 from the image on Google's site.
Sim does work in other devices.
Is no one else having problems sending SMS on their LTE N9 then?
I thought I'd update as so many views of thread.
My O2 sim works in any device EXCEPT my Nexus 9. Data Works, but no SMS.
Any other Network sims work in my Nexus 9, so it's not a problem with tablet from what I can see. I think something must have happened when I rooted the device when on Android 5.0.2. Device was then unrooted and bootloader re-locked (only do this on stock roms!).
Got a new sim on the way. Will update soon.
reverted to 5.0.1
So I decided to flash 5.0.2 - nothing changed, flashed 5.0.1 and bingo! It works.
I then let tab update to 5.0.2 - still working
Then let it update to 5.1.1 - FAIL - data works, but no sms
Update:
After RMAing for screen problems, the replacement I got connects to 4g fine, but still no SMS or MMS.
I sideloaded Google messenger, when I send SMS it says 'Can't send message using CARD 1: Error -1
MMS says 'Service not activated on network'
O2 have sent new sims, reprovisioned the tablet, but still nothing Is no one else having this problem?
Tablet Info
Thought I'd drop a screen-shot of my Tablet Info in to see if anyone sees anything unusual that might be causing my problems....

Did you find a solution to your problem? This seems to be the only place where I can find this same error message.

Nope - no solution. You have this problem as well?
I'm on Android N preview 2 now and was hoping it would be fixed, but it's not. Still the only way I can send/receive SMS is to downgrade to Android 5.0.2
