Hi,
today I get my xperia z2. I want to root it, but I can't find any instruction. I can unlock bootloader but I don't want to do it, because I will lose some features like xreality or camera(?). Is it possible root z2 w/o unlocking bootloader now?
Greetings,
jxx17.

Hi,
Just unlock your bootloader and flash valid boot.img (for 17.1.1 a.0.402) with a custom recovery and install the update-supersu.zip on it.
This will work.
So, i finally made a decision so root my Z2 But first i wanna ask some stuff.. What do i need to know first of all ? All i want root for is so i can copy apps to my sd card thats it =) But then again.. Once i root can i delete it incase i need my warranty back?? What is the easist way to root Z2 ? Do i need a custom recovery ?? What can go wrong rooting Z2 ? And i assume i got locked bootloader from start? Regards.

you do not need a custom recovery and with root not much can go wrong,
Rooting does not affect your bootloader
rooting does however affect your warrenty, removing of root does restore the status of your warenty since the modifacations no longer exist
you do not need recovery
your bootloader is locked from being manufactured, its only unlocked if someone unlocks it which sony wouldent do as its used to monitor if someone has modified their device but root exploits is a way around this

if you uninstall root from within the supersu app your warrenty is no longer voided because there is no evidance of root being there
if you modified your system you can install a FTF using flashtool to get totaly stock

Hey guys!
One more question: Is it possible to root my Xperia Go without unlocking the bootloader? So I could do root without losing warranty, is not it?
And if it fails to root without unlocking the bootloader, there is possibility of transferring the Xperia Home 7.0.A.0.14 for my Xperia Go without root?
Thanks and sorry for my bad English
You must be root to change your Xperia Home, and about root, there's a DooMLoRD exploit root method somewhere, just use search button

Any android device can be rooted without unlocking the bootloader, but if you root your device, you will loose your warranty.
(According to Sony terms and Conditions)
Use flashtools for rooting and unrooting.. Without concerning bootloader.
