[Q] quick question about app back up please

Hey good people, I had Hot Pursuit running in my device with all its 350 or so MB that you have to download when installing it . I then was going to install a new ROM and for that did both a cwm and titanium backup. Restored all the apps and all it's good except for the fact that now when I tap onto the game it asks to download the whole 350mb again. Shouldn't I be able to restore the whole thing without having to download it again ? Thanks
Many games install aditional files directly into the SD Card. Titanium Backup does the backup of the app itself, not the files on the SD Card asociated to the app.
If you don't delete the internal memory you shouldn't have problems with this, since its usually on /sdcard/Gameloft/... directory. If you need to delete the internal memory, then copy the /sdcard/Gameloft directory to your SD to save the app install files.

Thanks mate, am still new to Android. I did wipe all the system and data to install the new rom, so will probably have to download the files again, but next time will know what to do. Thanks again.
Wiping system and data doesn't delete the game data saved on the SD card. Only formatting SD card will delete the game data. Check in 'my files' to see if its still there on your SD card under gameloft. Sometimes when you delete the app it needs to re-download only a few mbs, not all.

[Q] download additional game data to SD

I have a GT-P3113 with CM 10.1.2
I installed Mountfolder to my device in an attempt to play Games from the extSD since the device only has about 2GB free space. I successfully created the pair folder and the files were successfully mounted to the SD. I downloaded all the updates beforehand and even played it, so I know it's up to date. When trying to play the game when mounted, it wants me to download the game data to my tablet again. How can I prevent this?

[Q] Backup android game on pc.

My lenovo p780 is rooted. And i want to take backup of anomaly 2 game i bought on play store as i do not want to re download it as i am changing my sdcard. Plz guide me how to do it. And if i use titanium backup can i transfer that file to pc. And after copying it to my new sdcard will i be able to play it without re installing it?
Hi,
You can make a backup with titanium backup, but it will won't save game data, they are located in the Android/OBB or Android/DATA folder.

[Q] extsd application not installed on Android 4.3

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 which has not been rooted. but I use a lot of modded apps especially games. so I wanted to get a psp emulator on it by installing ppsspp and transferred one of my .cso files from my psp to ext sd card, it couldn't play the file after selecting it. Then I asked my friend who has a similar app and he said I should free up my internal memory which was about 30% free ~700mb left. I tried moving some apps to the ext sd using the pre installed app manager. I tried moving some but after a long time some could not move. then suddenly phone rebooted. All the app I moved to the ext sd or installed there by default now had this appearance of an app waiting to the sd to be ready if one immediately boot a phone. Prior to this event I installed a modded µtorrent pro and downloaded thru it. Now all the sd apps that were "not installed" now appeared in the ext sd with a "µ" prefix before them followed by some letters contained in the app's name. ie µIONRUS~1.apk . I don't know if it's a virus or malware that caused but I have Lookout and Avast installed.

Restoring whats app msgs a couple of days old??

Hello Everyone,
I need some help restoring whats app msgs which are a couple of days old.I own a Samsung S4 mini.
I got my phone un-rooted and flashed the samsung stock ROM(Android version 4.4.2)
My internal SD card got formatted due to this. But I had taken a google drive back up as well as a local back up of the Database folder of my whats app on my PC before flashing the ROM.
On flashing the ROM, I installed the latest whats app version 2.12.449 .I tried to restore my msgs from the google drive back up but wasnt able to no matter what I did. It failed everytime. I skipped restoring the back up and my google drive back up got overwritten with only the new msgs.
I uninstalled and re-installed whats app.
While restoring the only option it gave me was to restore it using the backup on google drive (overwritten one) which was pointless. So,I tried doing the below steps mentioned in the Whats App FAQs to manually restore a local back up which was a day old.

To restore a less recent local backup
Your phone will store up to the last 7 days worth of local backup files (Google Drive will only have the most recent). If you wish to restore a local backup which is not the most recent, you will need to do the following:
Download a file manager. Here are some choices: File Managers and Explorers.
In the File Manager, navigate to sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases. If your data is not stored on the SD card, you may see internal storage or main storage instead of sdcard.
Rename the backup file you wish to restore from msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt8 to msgstore.db.crypt8.
Uninstall WhatsApp.
Install WhatsApp.
Tap Restore when asked.
This dint help either . It simply doesnt detect the local backup on my internal SD card. It only restored the back up on my google drive by default. Also there is no option to choose whether to restore back up from your SD card or google drive.
I have tried searching all the forums to find a solution to the above problem but couldn't :'(
Is there any way to resolve this issue apart from installing the message extractor on your PC and decoding the DB files??
