I want to know if anyone can confirm a difference between photos taken with the unlocked bootloader vs a locked bootloader. On the Z1 there was a long debate about this but Sony seem to be playing fairer with the Z2 allowing more things to be saved when unlocking like X-Reality and some apps.
Is Bionz still there? Its too late for me to check as I unlocked before I thought about it.
Can someone please take a photo before unlocking and the same photo with settings after unlocking?

I'm quite a newbie to Android phones and may I ask you guys for some questions?
I really love the design of Sony Xperia and I hope to get one, but I've read that the problems about sony's 'camera software' make their photos not as good as they should be. (Specifically, I'm interested in Xperia M reviewed in gsmarena.com)
So, does that means if I use third party camera software, such as Camera360 etc., I won't have to face the problems right?
For example, some say photos taken by 5-MP samsung galaxy core native camera are better than photos taken by 5-MP sony xperia M native camera. But photos taken by 5-MP samsung galaxy core camera360 are as same as photos taken by 5-MP sony xperia M camera360.
Did I undertand right?

Just wondering with the Z3 due to be released do you think we will see the new camera features appear on the Z2 and Z1? The one I was wanting to play with is the multi camera option. My wife has the Z1 Compact and I have the Z2 so we could pair the 2 up and take interesting photos while out 'n' about. Do you think this will happen?

I did here that features from the z3 will be added to the z2, however I'm not sure if the z1 will get them

Well as my wife has the Z1 and I have the Z2 it could be good news for me in some respects. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Guys if i unlok BL will i lose xreality?

Most likely you will, I did when I unlocked my bootloader but don't even miss it as all it does is over saturate the colours in photos & videos only on the screen, it doesn't affect any pictures or videos you take.
I never ever saw why some folk were obsessed with it to be honest.

Conclusion- xreality will work only on the firmware that came on the device weather it be unlocked or not

after i "killed" my beloved O+ i want to try a Xperia Z2 ... i had already a Z1 and loved it BUT i don´t like the Sony UI! And it was "Unlocked Allowed - NO"
So, my problem is, i really would love to buy a new Z2, BUT, how can i find out, if its Unlockable? ... i mean, who is the bad "guy" who decides to lock the BL forever? .. is it Sony, or the Network Carriers?

It's the carriers. Try to find one online. Where are you from?
Sony or Sonys 3rd party sellers are most likely to have unlockable bootloaders

If i manage to unlock and root my p20 lite does this have any bad affects to the picture quality as it's the case with the Sony Z3 Compact and it's DRM Key's?

Hey, I unlocked and rooted my phone, and also flashed OpenKirin LineageOS Beta 5. The camera quality seems to unaffected, as long as you use the default camera app.
