hi
is it required to battery caliberate after flashing new rom?
and when ever i reboot my system either battery jumps from 10% to 30 or more
or becomes less than 10%..
if i should then which app should i use?
any guidnace
plz
TY
No such thing. After you flash a new rom, charge the phone to 100%, turn it off, remove the battery for 30 seconds, replace the battery, turn phone on, enjoy.
Anyone selling you the whole calibration thing is selling you voodoo.
hi
thanks for your reply
plz suggest me best battery app with battery saving feature , suggestion on what we can do with remaining battery , expected full time charge , complete graph or battery usage history by apps?
paid or free , tell me best one
thank you
There's lots of battery apps on Google Play, there's no such thing as the best one, go have a look under the Tools section in Apps (you'll also find some under productivity). Stay away from apps like Juice Defender that claim to save you battery by doing things automatically which you can do yourself in two seconds, these have been proven time & again on XDA to use more juice than they save.
ivl try battery monitor
thank you
No probs ;-)

Wouldn't that procedure above be considered calibrating the battery? LOL. J/K. Couldn't resist .

actually it cannot. this way you only help the system in your phone recognize full capacity of battery (which is not even full because not one battery works at it's full capacity - but it's fullest you will get at this point of your battery life). when it's about calibrating - listen to MistahBungle - it's all voodoo. you cannot calibrate li-ion battery unless you kill it and then revive. by killing it I don't mean depleting it in your phone, because even when phone shows the battery is fully depleted it's really not - there is still some juice in it. you'd have to use e.g. special charger which can drawn juice out of battery and make it really empty. only then your battery is dead and useless. you may revive it by applying cca. 5V but actually it not always works. so you cannot calibrate your battery in home environment.
what you can do is "re-calibrating" so called fuel gauge (description under links given below) and you may also help your system recognize the real state of your battery charge. sometimes it happens that systems readings are wrong and battery is on 85% but system is reading it as 50 or 100%. to help it read battery chip correctly you do the thing MistahBungle so helpfully described. sometimes you even don't have to do it but wait 2-3 charging cycles and system will adjust it's reading itself. by charging cycles I mean charging like from 20-100%. why not from 0%? because even if it's not a real depletion state, li-ion batteries doesn't like the state of being discharged too much.

and is there any way to stop auto startups of apps?i have around 200apps and most of them i use around once a day or not even once
i use android assistant to manage startup but it does on boot and after some time if i check running apps most of apps will be there running
is there any app to block it running automatically? not just at startup ? full control like anything?
thank you
actually I cannot help with that. I don't use such a software and really don't believe in it. but, the fact is that I do not use so many apps. other fact is that surely there is some useful software that could help you with that task, i just do not use one and personally I'm not interested in it. I know that perhaps the best method is to freeze them with titanium but if you use these apps from time to time then it would become complicated and not worth the effort.
still I have few questions:
why would you like to stop them from working? do they drain your battery? if so then check your logs with bbs and find out which ones are draining, try to change their setting or get rid of them, or at least close only these ones. long time ago I was fighting with some apps that I do not use often and they start themselves from time to time. I didn't want to get rid of them, so before every night I was killing them one-by-one from applications menu (actually most of them didn't wake up until I ran them myself). finally, after many tests I got to the point that it doesn't make any difference. apps I was killing, even if running, didn't use any recourses, didn't produce wakelocks, they were just using some RAM. and if it is the reason of your concern then do not be worried - they may use as much RAM as they want - android will free RAM when it will need it.
now I do not kill any apps and by night I lose 0-2% of battery which is my only concern - what should we care more? CPU, RAM - let it work as long as it doesn't stop us from enjoying our phone and make a usage of it uncomfortable.
and if you're worried about packet data then you may limit it for each app using system menu in ICS.

Thanks dude. I also have the similar problem. I have spent months on it without any improvement. Now I'm quite frustrated and not optimistic on the solution you have provided towards my issue, but your decription gives me a lot of clue.
But my problem is even more tricky, I would like to share it here so see if anyone have met it before, or if I need to start a new thread to deal with it:
The problem can be generally decribed as below:
1. When the battery is fully charged, unplug and consume the juice until the level reach around 30%, then the phone is shut down automatically; after I plugin the power and restart the phone, the battery level is displayed as 0%;
2. After charging for a while from 0% , restart the phone and you will see the battery level directly goes back to 50%, but still with very low voltage;
3. Changing with a new battery won't solve the issue -- though the new battery itself may also have problem(not sure if it is genuine), but I don't think a fake battery and an old battery should behave almost the same, so I don't think it is the battery's problem; criticize if I'm wrong
4. Re-flashing a new rom won't solve the issue either. I have tried different CM9 nightlies and now I'm using CM10 nightlies, none of them is immune to the problem;
5. Clear the battery state won't solve the problem. It is hard to say whether it improves the situation at least a tiny bit. I mean it may work somehow, e.g. My phone used to be shut down at 50% battery level and now it can last to 36%. But it never totally solve the problem once and for all, so I still don't trust this caliberation thing may work.
I hope I have clearly stated my issue. I'm so at the end of my patience, this little bastard have been always torturing me You guys are the last I can count on I really hope I came here earlier so as not to have wasted so much time.
Hi everyone
So I recently got a S2, upgraded it from stock Gingerbread to stock ICS via Kies, then flashed CM9. CM9 was great, but I quickly noticed worse battery drain than that of GB. I sorted out all wakelocks, now facebook is the top one in better battery stats list and it's only 10mins in a day so I don't think that's a problem. When charging, vbus_present shows up and keeps the phone from sleeping, but that's a normal thing when the phone is plugged, right? CPUspy shows the phone is in deep sleep the majority of time I don't use it, so I assume I have no wakelock problem.
But even then, the battery still seems a bit bad. When in deep sleep with wifi and mobile data off, it would lose around 1.5% per hour; and with moderate/high use (internet with wifi or gaming), I'd be lucky to have it last 3 hours. Charging to 100% from zero takes about 3 hours.
I also tried recalibrating the battery through BC, but haven't noticed too much of a difference.
Recently I found a guide on disabling fast dormancy via the build.prop file. Still waiting for results though.
So, my questions
1, My battery usage seems normal, doesn't it? 1.5% per deep sleep hour is acceptable I guess, but 3 hours of usage seems a bit short. Too short.
2, What effects does fast dormancy have?
1) Totally unacceptable. Mine lasts at least 7-8 hours with high use..
Does your phone heat up while the heavy use ???
What brightness level do you use for the display ???
How many apps do you have that can gain internet access ???
2) By default, the Samsung Galaxy S II has Fast Dormancy support enabled. One of the goals of Fast Dormancy is to increase the battery life of a device, by limiting the amount of signaling between the phone and the cell network. But, when Fast Dormancy it is not enabled in the network and is enabled on the phone it ironically works the other way around, and actually drains more battery than before.
Luckily, Fast Dormancy can be disabled on the phone. For the Galaxy S II, do the following:
Dial *#9900#
Press “Disable Fast Dormancy“
Press “Exit“.
Easy as that!
Thanks for the suggestion I have brightness manual and at around 20%. Wifi is disabled when not used, and mobile data is always turned off unless I need it, so basically apps only get internet access when I want them to. I have also disabled sync for both google and facebook, but fb still pushes notifications to me while it's connected. Is that a major battery drain, and if yes, how to disable it?
Anyways, facebook, instagram, youtube are the only apps than can access the internet. No messengers or anything that may keep a wakelock.
My phone doesn't heat up during normal use, maybe a bit when I do some gaming (Max Payne?)
Also, *#9900# doesn't do anything on my phone. It doesn't bring up a menu or anything like that.
Bump. Guys?

Install BetterBatteryStats (search for it on here/Google Play), might help you nail what's causing the drain.
Yes I did, as said in my original post. After a night the highest wakelock are just around 10 minutes, and that one was facebook. Uninstalling it however had no effect.
Delivered using Nyan Cat's rainbow powers.
Thinking logically, there's got to be something else in those stats (partial wakelocks in particular) that's causing that drain. There's no way having fast dormancy enabled/disabled is either going to cause/fix the drain you've mentioned getting '3 hours of usage'; (I can get 5 & a bit hours screen on with CM9 & variable usage/mostly 'moderate' use) given everything else you say you've tried.
Post BBS logs here if you want someone to have a look.
Edit to add - Also post a screenshot of the 2nd screen in settings/battery, the one that has history 'details' at the top, with the 'mobile network signal' bar underneath the main battery graph.

I just registered half a day ago and don't have enough posts yet to paste links, so sorry the phone was only on battery for nearly 2 hours with some light browsing and facebook, but I hope it works.
Anyway, I looked through my running processes, and dsp manager is the only non-OS process running, besides facebook. I got CM9 so it came by default. Could dspmanager be the culprit?

It's a new phone he's got there and I doubt it could be anything battery related itself.
I'm using CM9 nightlies and I get around 9 hours moderate use. It has been said though that a lot of these CM9 builds have battery drain and heat issues.
I use Juicedefender to help with the battery life which seems to work.

About 1/3 of this time was on wifi browsing. The drop is much more drastic if I play games.

A couple of observations. There's nothing that stands right out in the BBS log. The other one is, looking at that graph you've lost ~15% over a bit under 2 hrs. The screen has been on most of the time the phone has been awake (confirmed by the BBS log) if you look at the respective bars. You've also been using WiFi for most of the time the screen has been on/phone has been awake.
Roughly speaking, going by the screenshot, you'd get ~5hrs+/- screen on time if you kept using the phone in the same way you had during that just under 2 hrs, and this is pretty much normal. I haven't had drain issues for ages, so I double checked my details on the 2nd screen of settings/battery to make sure CM9 is reporting these details accurately (screenshot attached). Certainly in my case, this screenshot reflects what my phone had been doing for the just under 5 hrs it had been off charge/since last reboot; that is, >90% of the time in idle/deep sleep. So it probably isn't CM9 reporting these details inaccurately in your case either.
The BBS log & screenshot don't illustrate the problem you talked about in your OP. Now, if I had to take a stab in the dark at what's causing problems when you do have them (and FWIW, I do believe you're having the problems you mentioned in your OP at times), in the absence of any other info, maybe your WiFi router is constantly sending the phone packets (what's been referred to as a 'dirty router' on here before) when you're connected to WiFi & not actually using it. This scenario has been known to cause relatively high levels of drain.
So to be honest with you, based on that screenshot & the BBS log, I'm not really seeing a problem.
Now, if you want to post the same again when you actually have a problem with drain similar to what you described in your OP, happy to have a look at them. But for that ~2hrs covered by the BBS log & screenshot you posted, that's pretty much normal.

Okay, much appreciated so I guess I'll take it from your reply that 5 hours with wifi browsing isn't too bad. Seems okay, but I still find it a bit strange that (in my case) wifi browsing uses just as much battery as games do. I always thought it was a light activity!
Or maybe it wasn't the battery that had a problem, but that I set my expectations a bit too high. I came to this S2 from a BlackBerry 9700, whose battery would last half a week with very frequent use. But anyway, I just got this phone for a week, so I consider myself a pretty heavy user. Probably when I get familiar with it, I won't feel the need to play with it every five minutes and battery will last a bit longer then! xD
Nah. Anything with screen on is far from 'light activity'. Screen consumes far & away the most juice. In saying that, I've seen some people on here say they can get 8-9 hrs screen on with 2000mAh battery. How they do it I have absolutely no idea.
But if yeah, 5 hrs with the screen on most of the time whether browsing or playing games (games in particular are very CPU/GPU intensive & thus use a lot of zzzzs; unless they're really basic games like chess or similar), or anything else isn't too bad. Can you do better ? Obviously, if people say they can get 8-9 hrs. But it's not a matter of doing A, B & C and you'll magically end up with massive screen on times. Every phone is setup & used differently, and getting the absolute max out of every charge takes a lot of trial & error and experimenting with settings/setup.
There are tons of threads about the subject on here if you feel like going down that path. For me, I'm happy with the battery life I get these days because you can really obsess over it & spend a lot of time stressing over it/trying to maximise it for often very little gain. I'd rather simply use my phone a lot during the day & charge it at night.
Yeah Crackberries are like Japanese cars, they can run on fumes pretty much ;-) Having a dual core processor, a decent GPU & a huge screen kinda changes things.
There is one thing you can do fairly easily tho. And that's to make sure the phone spends as much time as possible in deep sleep when you're not using it. That will ensure that you have enough juice to get you by when you do want to use it. Simple ways to help achieve that is to turn off data/WiFi completely when you're not using it (tho many people don't like to do this for different reasons; which is perfectly OK if you're happy to live with the resultant drain), and make sure you've got no apps that are doing things they shouldn't be doing (like syncing, for example) while the phone should be sleeping. Again, there are lots of threads about same if you ever feel like a bit of light reading ;-)
So yeah, if you do find you experience drain that's not normal/outside the usual pattern you have, definitely post details & people can have a look for you. And as you said, you'll get to know what really is normal with regard to drain & so on is as you use the phone more (I tended to use it constantly for that first couple of weeks as well).

Already took such measures. Wakelocks killed my battery over my first night with the phone, and I woke up after 7 hours to find a ~50% battery completely empty. Now things are alright, I clear CPUSpy stats before I sleep and wake up to around 95% of deep sleep time. Overnight drain varies between 5 and 10%.
And yes, yes you are right. Maybe I should stop going nuts. I'm checking BBS and CPUSpy every hour, reading every XDA thread on battery, and calculating my battery drainage every morning I wake up :laugh::laugh:

Umm...so I just woke up, and noticed a wakelock in the kernel category. It was PowerManagerService, and it occupied around half an hour. Overnight, aftet I've slept 10 hours (got a day off ), my battery came from 24% down to 13%. That's a rate of roughly 1% per hour. Is that normal? And also, what is that PowetManagerService wakelock?

My Nook is 10.5 months old and I have recently noticed it only hold charge for 2-3 hours.
I am still running 1.40 and rooted so I could block OTA. I haven't done any other modifications to the tablet.
Is this a common problem? I need to charge this thing everyday now, where before I could go several days without recharge.
Thanks for the help.

haven't used stock in a long time, but is there an option to turn wifi off when the tablet goes to sleep? ur wifi might be sucking up power continuously if it doesn't shut off.
Yes, that is correct, Wifi can be switch off. And I have done that. But the drain has become very significant.
I am considering going for a warranty repair, but my guess I will get a refurb with another weak battery, and hassled because I have rooted and blocked OTA.
Are most folks just running off their chargers?
If folks have bad batteries are they replacing them themselves?

you can attempt to request for a new nook tablet placement. After two refurbished replacements with the same problem as my original NT. they sent me a new Nook Tablet and so far so good. It's worth a shot.
Came off the island today and went to the big green city. Stopped at BN and did some talking with them and also to the service center at the same time. The service center said they would send me a refurb. My 3-4hour of run time is way under the 11.5 hours you should get for the e-reader mode only. That fella felt like the battery developes memory and needed to be fully discarded to combat that occurring. I can not find any technical document that supports this idea. There are not NiCad batteries.
Anyway if I send my tablet in I will end up with 1.4.3 instead of 1.4.0.
When you get your replacement
Once you get your replacement, it's a good idea not to charge it until it show very low percentage on any nicad rechargeable batteries. When you charge it, don't remove it from the charger until it reaches 100%. Also don't have a habit of plugin it in when finish using it, plan ahead so that you can have a fully discharge battery before recharging. Your NT battery charge will hold a lot longer threw time if you do it this way. You also can try this app to see if it works.

Good advise, thanks,
I put in some effort to side load the battery stats reset software and found a application call: Battery HD. I loaded this app instead. It provides a graph of the charge and discharge rate. From the graph I can see that my battery is OK. I became aware of some funnies going on when I woke up at 3 am and saw the display on. With the discharge rate as specified I now believe I have some application causing me trouble. I don't have much on the table, Titanium, MX video, Amazon apps.
I shut the unit off last night and it came back right to the same charge. Tonight I will leave it on and check the graph to see if there was an load and when. The application has a gross report on the power used separated by function instead of application. It also has a calibration test that tests the three main functions and reports the discharge rate.
Anyway, I will post what the nightly current hog is if I can find it.

My friends NT has been having issue with screen turning on by itself. Seemed to narrow it down to aldiko app. Not sure why it's happening. Performed a clean install of CM7 and issue came back. I keep thinking it's hardware related, trying to convince him to try a different ROM, but he's stuck on using CM7. If you find a reason for your tablet screen turning on let us know so maybe I can help him get his issue resolved. Thanks...

That's actually bad advice for any lithium based battery - like the NT's lithium ion battery. LiON batteries don't like to be fully discharged and they don't like heat, especially heat when they are fully charged. That means avoid full discharges and avoid charging it to full every time, and do charge the battery more frequently (keeping the charge level between 20% and 80% for example). Partial discharge on LiON is just fine; they don't suffer memory effect.

I have said it in past post, I need glasses. I totally missed this part while reading "There are not NiCad batteries" the word not always gets me.Sorry about that sgschwend. I did not even know, thanks for the info update.
Well, I always appreciate advice, my view is that it becomes a starting point and it is up to the reader to combine it with a working course of action.
As to phantom startup/turnons I checked last night and there wasn't one. I will continue till I find it. The summary screen does say what type of application is turning on so that should help. The only gotcha will be if the battery application changes how the tablet works to the point that the issue will not occur. I don't think this is very likely.
The battery application (battery HD) makes a nice graph so you can look at the slope and see what is going on, it also lists the run time for various activities based on the current battery charge. Interesting to note the Nook charger overcharges a bit and the battery does warm up some. When it cools down the charge is just under 100%. This is not an ideal situation, it would be better for the charger to slow to a point that the battery temperature is not elevated near the end of its cycle. Splitting hairs perhaps. My discharge rate matches the tablets specs even with the battery application running.
Second day of monitoring the device operated correctly. I did check and found that I have a Titanium backup batch job setup to run every day a 3 am. Which coincides with time I observed the device display turning on. I will move the time and see if the issue moves too.
Steve
Also turn off push notifications that certain apps have. They suck up a lot of battery. Install the Better Battery Stats app (search xda for it). Won't have to pay unless you want to. Monitor the partial wake locks to determine what apps are using battery during sleep.
I have a similar problem, i got a nook with cm7 and the battery doesn't last at all, i charged it yesterday and let it all night without touching it to see how long would it last and after 12 hours i got 30% and it says 70% of the battery was drained by the andoid os, it says that the processor was working for 2hrs!
i got it and stared looking for an answer to this problem and in less than 10 min it has drained 4% of the total charge, this didn't happened with the stock firmware so I'm thinking about trying jelly bean and if it doesn't get better i will have to go back to the stock firmware
Hwong, I think you hit it on the head. Last evening my NookT had a much higher current draw, loosing 20% in 12 hours. I saw this when I checked it a midnight. I had left the Nook with the battery monitor application in the graph mode, likely running as an active application instead of a "monitor" mode. Titanium Backup did run last night but it runs for such a short period it did not even show up on the graph.
So I really don't know which application or notification is causing me a problem but the issue I have had is like loosing 20% of my battery in a 6-8 hour period. Which to me looks like an application is running that shouldn't and the time I observed the screen on would do it too. As I started this post I am still on 1.4.0, rooted, OTA blocked with hidden commands.
I did a hard factory reset and wipped the caché, now my nook has been charged for 2 days on sleep mode with the wifi on.
I believe the problem was caused by an application, i believe it was the launcher and theme i was used, i re-installed it yesterday and the tablet started to drain battery quickly again so i cleaned the data used by them and uninstalled them.
The battery monitor widget use to say my battery would last 2 hrs of video playing, now it says it should last 8:30, closer to the 9hrs promissed by B&N.
It all about old sins. I found that I was jumping around in the normal Nook UI and not using the back button. So several things were still running in the background. Even though that little darling looks the same, that background stuff is a killer. I did a quick test with the battery monitor by leaving it in the graphic mode and sure enough the discharge rate went up 400%, just a dumb graph in the background plotting Voltage versus time. When I use the back button on the application graph, the current draws goes to near zero.
It really does a nice job of standby or sleep.
Maybe this will help.
You could use titanium backup to freeze the apps that you think could be causing more than usual battery drain and maybe narrow the issue down?:fingers-crossed:

My wife and I both have the Galaxy S4, verizon flavor.
My phone's battery usage is very nice. Most of the time I go to bed with 30-70% left on the battery. Hers does the same. The only difference is I use my phone a lot and she barely uses it during the day. A couple of texts, maybe a phone call and on occasion an internet search. Before this happened, and I don't know what was the tipping point, she use to charge her phone every third day, now she charges it every night.
Her phone is also 6 months newer than mine. Both are running stock, both are Android 4.3. I have both phones setup as close as possible so I can make comparisons between the two. Obviously she has different needs and will have different apps running/installed.
I have taken all of her apps off the phone and it hasn't changed the battery problem. I have reset the phone and still the battery drain persists.
I have put Battery Monitor Widget and GSam on her phone and I really haven't been able to locate the offending app/program/function. The only possibility is the 1013 system and "AudioOut_2". But that seems unlikely as this drain is about every 20 minutes and goes on all day.
Usually she runs with her phone in minimal activity. Data off, Sync off, GPS off, Power Saving on.
Here is a chart from a while back, everyday looks similar with the drains. My phone has long periods of straight white lines when inactive, hers just keep going down.
can't post the image of the battery chart. Gonna make it more difficult to solve.
Just wondering where to look and if this is something that can be solved or is possibly a phone problem/defect. As I mentioned, mine works nice and I have it setup as close to my phone as possible to get results that can be compared.
first of all im no expert, but i think it could go either way. before assuming its hardware it wouldnt hurt to back everything up, try a factory reset and a wipe mk2 odin flash. then seeing if the issue persists. just throwing my thoughts out there. hope it gets resolved regardless. :good:

Have you tried Better Battery Stats + a Wakelock Detector? Between those two it should be really easy to see if this is a software problem or perhaps a bad battery.
I'll link you to the wakelock detector I use. In my opinion it's the easiest to use.
Here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector
You can see wakelocks in BBS as well.... But I just like the options this one gives
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I haven't tried BBS+, but Wakelock Detector has been running since the problem was detected. That is how I found the 1013 and Audio2_Out running. At the beginning it seemed to correlate with the problem but as time moved on it seemed less and less the culprit.
I haven't really found anything using wakelock detector. I could give you some stats off of it tonight when I have access to my wife's phone again.
Any stats that you'd like me to post I can do that. Eventually I'll be able to post that Battery Monitor Widget graph so you can see what is happening.
Pretty sure we can rule out a bad battery. About 99.9% sure.
First things first I would swap batteries between the two phones. Lets rule out a faulty battery first, because trying to figure out battery drain with a faulty battery can be maddening!

OK, all day with swapped batteries. Same thing. My phone is fine, her's is still doing the same stair step battery drain.

Hello,
I got a battery issue on my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime for at least more than a year.
The problem is: almost everytime, my phone crash when arround 40% battery level. It's not an informatic crash but... I'm not sure. The phone just suddenly shut down, not as it ran out of battery, displaying the shutdown logo and going to sleep, it behave like I pulled off the battery.
This is not a battery misplacement problem because the shutdown doesn't happen a totally random way: it never triggered over 50% for now.
Moreover, the battery level goes wrong after such crash. Even after waiting some time with battery out of phone I got randomly a new battery percentage that will be either lower, same or even higher than when it crashed. So maybe the whole problem is due to a shift between real battery percentage and what phone determined.
I also noticed that when rebooting after the crash the phone speakers make a weird sound, a kind of "shhhhhhhh" even with silent mode enabled and no system sound, and when it happens phone recrash on booting (system) logo.
I personally don't think it's system's fault, because between the first time it happened and now I may have flashed at least 6 times my ROM and made various wipes. Also somebody getting the same phone model than me never got such problem, even tough he is not rooted and has recent firmware. In the end the problem getting worse and worse again (=more frequent) so I'm almost sure it's a material problem.
But which one? Is this directly battery's fault or is it captor's fault? Actually I threatened the battery very badly, it's true. But everything I did — overcharging, emptying battery at the time I thought that was a good thing because of a suppoesed memory effect like nickel batteries, using charger block from an older device with a bit different configuration — should have shortened the battery's life, however it's just like the battery is now discharging a bit faster but got a kind of danger zone where you're not sure that it will keep behaving normally, so much that some measurements and developing apps determined that my battery have a good health, that is maybe absolutely FALSE.
Talking about this danger zone, I also noticed something even stranger over all.
Depending of what I do, I got higher or lower chance to have my phone crashing under 40% level:
- If Wifi is enabled, the phone got arround a half more chance to shut down unexpectedly.
- This is worse when using data consuming app (i.e. Youtube)
- Using more hardware also increase this phenomenon (when using camera) and enabling flash instantaneously and almost everytime crash the phone.
Here are what I reported.
What do you think?
It has happened to me many times. So i normally keep it charging all the time to be safe.

All the time for real? Be careful, that's not a good practice. Unless you removed the battery first, this will get worse if you do that.
I have a similar but possibly unrelated problem.
If i charge upto 100%, the battery goes directly to 0 after around 50%.
If i charge upto 50%, then the battery drains rapidly after around 20%.
I don't think its a battery problem because its the same with two replacement batteries and a stock battery. (Or maybe I have a bad luck and bought ****ty batteries)
Will post a screenshot soon...
I have the Same problem i changed the battery twice but i still have the issue

What you posted is close to what I noticed, so it is not unrelated.
This is weird that after buying two more batteries the issue still occure...
I've this problem too :/ (G361H)
I have this problem too. This is the batteries fault only.

My device goes at 60%, 40%, etc. and then it starts repedeatly pressing the right side of my screen and not letting me tap the screen, so I lock it and unlock it very fast and I can use the touchscreen for a few moments, before it shuts down without the shutdown screen and makes a *tick* sound, almost like there was an electrical shock inside the battery. I have a PRF and TWRP 2.8.7.0.

Got exactly the same problem. You can try to change the battery but in my opinion the only good solution would be to buy another phone. This is personally what I did, as this model gets old really early.

I have this same exact problem and the only fixes according to me is to buy a new phone or replace the battery. Also I noticed that the battery of my device has bulged.
RIP, I have the SM-G360T1, stock based custom ROM with TWRP 3.0.1 and this thing's started to give up. Same issues as the people above encountered. The phantom touches are getting wayyy more repetitive, the battery all of a sudden goes down to an extremely low percentage, even at medium to high percentages (such as 50-60%) and even shuts off without any notification. I also had cases where the phone would completely turn off with no shutdown animation AT ALL, plus a spontaneous but audible *TICK* that follows it. Device performance in general also started to horribly depreciate.
Well, to be fair, I had this device for 3 years and I guess it had its day. Time to upgrade.
My device has started to shut off at 80% battery levels and even worse the device gives just about 25-30 min of SOT. Also stressing the device in any way.. games, YouTube et al just causes it to shut down. I now permanently have a battery pack connected to it at all times. But even after all this, the gives good standby time. Notably the device stand for 3+hrs on 3% battery.
Still my phone is in a pathetic condition. ?
Edit - I just got a new battery (aftermarket brand though) and the ghost touches along with sudden shutdown has gone. Also the OG battery was never touching the connectors properly or the battery placement design was not proper, cause the new aftermarket battery was not connected to the connectors properly.
Peace ?
i also got this problem on my sm-g360HU , try chaging different roms and buying a new battery pack, but still this sudden drain battery still exist, it seems like it's the hardware problem already.
