After seeing the horror show of Note 3/S4 users once they upgraded, I'd rather set up my phone one time and leave it as it is.
I'll be rooting it as soon as it arrives.

I think by horror show he is pointing towards the initial disastrous KK update that samsung gave to S4 (exynos) users.. it was laggy as hell.. couldn't even pull down notification bar without lag and games had poor frame rates, really poor.. but samsung fixed it within a week and the next fix update was all the phone needed.. now the phone runs a lot smoother than all previous versions and ram usage has also decreased a lot..
@blcistheking - u need not update necessarily.. just go settings>about phone> software update and untick the auto update feature.. u won't be bothered anymore!

Thank you seven6ixers, i have different questions:
1, Can I receive OTA update if I root my phone?
2, Why on Cf auto root site there are 2 different file for SM-N7505?
3, If I root my phone my flash counter go up to 1?
4, Works the guide to make Note 3 neo free lag only on 4.1/4.3 ? what happens when we will have 4.4.? we will have original low performance ( as 4.3 without giude free lag)?
5, Why this phone have a good CPU/GPU but is not fast as snapdragon 600' phone? is a problem of optimization?

1. No.. u will receive the notification for F/W update but you'll not be able to update cos it'll become a custom F/W..
2. Im not sure.. maybe they are for different versions (there's also a N7505S version), so download for ur version after checking from the about phone of ur device!
3. It surely will..
4. Right now only for 4.3 since KitKat 4.4 update has still not been provided by samsung.. one it's out, u can request @sgatechwork to update the tweaks for the newer version of Android
5. Turn off all animations from developer options and ur phone will fly! *TIP- keep animations to 0.0x except the animator duration scale to 0.5x
Ofcourse it'll never be as smooth as stock KitKat or Jelly Bean.. but that's what u get in exchange for features..

The firmware version I have got on my signature note is: .........7505XXUANBI .. How come you have mentioned both different than mine

Guess your regional firmware didn't match the newer one. A single flash with the original firmware through ODIN technique will resolve the problem.

Hi guys. I have the Green screen camera bug, and I cannot find a solution, getting desperate now.
I'm running Android 4.1.2, stock German DBT rom, baseband I9300XXELL4, and problem occured after I uninstalled ExynosAbuse.apk, and disabled exploit before that.
The solution here doesn't seem to work. I mean, at least I think I did it right - I just moved lib to lib folder with rootexplorer and restarted device. But didn't know where the META-INF folder is located, so I didn't put it anywhere. No effect.
Anyway same thing happened to me as it did to user "Xelasarg"
Still doesn't work.
But I found out another funny thing: if I switch to "Low light" mode (hope that's what it's called in English, I'm on German locale), everything's fine. Switching back to default mode results in green screen again.

You mean the attached file - cam_fix_for_sotmax_roms.zip? Yes, I did, that's what I'm saying - unfortunately it didn't work for me.

When I used it I just flashed it and all was fine
The green screen has to do with the exploit. Why don't you just try flashing the later firmwares on odin. LLA or LLC should do the trick. They fix the exynos bug so you shouldn't need exynosabuse

LL4 which I have has the exynos bug fixed, I'm on 4.1.2. But I still messed up my camera.
Cwm recovery/install zip/select from internal or external sd card/browse to file/select/confirm ........job done

There doesn't seem to be one for N7100. Have you tried flashing the latest firmware?
Or even, try asking in the N7100 forum. There is a sticky in Q&A so try that thread. A lot of friendly helpful people.

I'm on Xiaomi Mi A1 and I got this issue when calling the camera from any app like WhatsApp and indeed the trick with the flash works for me. If the flash fires, the photo is fine. If the flash is either disabled or on auto but does not fire, the green frame is shown. So I always keep the flash on and if I don't need the extra light I simply block it with my finger

thank you bro, but im afraid if i did factory rest i will lose all my apps and if i backup all my data and restore it after the factory rest it will not make any sense coz it will be the same as 1st

try lagfix app from the play store ... it reduced a bit of lag for me!!
i tried lag fix app but its no good .
the lag is killing me .. too much lag
it takes 4 for 5 sec to open the contact list after i press it
help me please

I moved from 4.1.2 to offical 4.3 .XXXXXXXJ9 rom.. This rom stuck some time.when unlocking screen and some time phone auto restart in it.
My question is that Is it rom problem..or should i go wanam rom (4.3)..any one facing this problem ???:angel:

Yes ..i am also facing the same thing... It sucks !! Samsung did a very bad job in baking this rom... sometimes i have to wait 6-8 seconds for the display to turn on !!! R u freaking kidding me !!! So now i am rolling back to 4.1.2

but kitkat firmware of korean variants were leaked by chinese website : zpsjbbs.com

Im in download mode now and waiting for the program to finish downloading the rom,and hopefully it will intall it after it does.I will update with more news when its over.Now still 10% download in 27min its kinda slow.

This might be true also,and it might update me to the offcial rom.We will see after its finished.
Actualy the 1st time i tried it,it said it was the latest,but the second time it found an update...We will see.

Not yet sure guys,it seem to be quite big tho....Im not sure if its 4.4 or no,we will see after it finish.Its like 29% atm.If i remember right,it downloads until 50% and installing from 50 and beyond..
Can you share some screenshots of your installation process? There may be hint for this curious eyes

Not too fussed about KK, i just want an update that improves the camera and scrolling smoothness.

Its with LG mobile tool,it doesnt show anything in particular....Just the red download bar now at 48%.I really hope its kit kat and not the regular one.I know K variants will get it soon even if not but i would love to try today :angel:

I'm using that rom too, but sorry, the only answer that i can give you is that probably is a bug, so if you don't want to change it you should wait until there is an update for that rom

No it's the root bug.if ur phone have root access u can't play some line games(maybe all?).i remember when I play a game call"line play"first it's ok then when I root my phone I can't play it

There's an app or xposed module (i forget which) that competely hides root access from apps. You can try that if root is causing issues.
