I was having a problem with imei before(044999...) , but doing a LOT of tutorials and a little bit luck, it came back to life again. Now my s3 is stucked on Factory mode , i already changed the file factorymode to ON but nothing happens.
Does anyone know why ?

No point in that reply imo.
Most people just want a quick answer without really understanding more about their device (which could save them hours of problems later on).

I think u r the one with the problem. I simply came here for help yet you say the is not the right forum. Its the way you wrote it. Read your own post. What's this about bricking my phone ? I know root in here is not for phone. Hence I'm here for help. Its only the s3 forum here and yes my phone is s3

I know mate. Still playing with my s2. Just want to do with my S3 what my s2 can do

Just make sure you don't try anything until your sure its been tested. 2 users on the Aussie thread lost their imei numbers while trying to root there's. One has already booked with Samsung service.

hello all,
i imported a phone from UK and the person i bought it from was dump enough to put a pattern lock on the phone, i tried contacting him but he is very stupid to answer the call. Is there any way through which i can hard reset the phone or do anything to get over the passcode?
i don't have the guys email id and password due to obvious reasons.
You could go into recovery mode and wipe data/cache basically factory resetting the phone.
Get into recovery by powering off the phone and pressing the following volume down+home+power.

Try flashing a stock Rom with Odin.
Have a look for the guides in these forums.

Wouldn't help as settings and setup don't get changed so pattern security would still be intact.

I went into the recovery by holding volume up+home button+power key and wiped data, now everything is good

Its not always the same case, stolen phones can be tracked in a glimpse and no one would want to go there

Well I gave him the benefit of the doubt plus if it is stolen they'll just report it stolen and the imei will be blocked and then it's a fancy paper weight.

Lol, changing an imei is not very hard. But anyway he would have found the trick.

It's hard for someone who doesn't know how to get around a pattern lock
mikep99 didn't help a burglar, because everything he said could be found if the OP had spent 5 minutes searching the forums. The answer for everything is here already. Sometimes one needs to add 1 + 1, but the answer is there.
So im a little confused i used to own a sprint gs3 and i could use sbeam no prob i recently got the i9300 i was rooted but flashed it back to stock 4.1.2 via odin and i tried to sbeam my friend and nothing happened both of us had all the settings turned on but she is running an older version i beleive 4.0.4 could that be the prob or the stock rom i used the issue?

Because you, among many other users, are too lazy to search and read up on new stuff.
