Hi All
First up, many thanks for any help and for your time.
I am running CM 11 Nightlies (currently at 20140517) but this issue has been happening ever since I installed CM 11.
I use Apollo for music. The player will play fine for a period (sometimes more than an hour and sometimes just five minutes) and then suddenly the sound will disappear while the player keeps playing. I then have to reboot the phone for the sound to come back as manually shutting the app down does not work.
I don't believe it is an Apollo issue but think it is a sound issue as this happens with Google Music as well as Ginkgo Audio player as well (which I use for audiobooks).
I have already searched the net and the forums but haven't found anything yet.
Would be grateful for any advice.
You're far more likely to get an answer that will help in the CM11 discussion thread.
This sounds like an incidence of the well known and thoroughly discussed music bug which is present in EVERY build / version of CM11....some people it affects, some it doesn't..... You either have to live with it until a fix is found, or you revert to a JB based build.......
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right

Hi all,
Since i've installed the official ICS rom on my phone i have one major issue.
When i stream music over bluetooth to my car hifi it lags, well it's worse then lag i cannot even hear the music it's like constantly stopping and playing like if someone was spamming the start stop button. I never had this problem with GB 2.3.6.
I somewhat found a workaround but it's rly annoying to keep doing this to hear music. What i do is just when i connect to my car hifi i start playing with the volume rocker buttons so i can hear it trough my car, when I'm doing this i press the play button on the music player then it works fine until i stop the car or go to FM and go back to BT
This is definitely software related because the workaround i just described makes it work again :S. I don't want to go back to GB do you guys know the cause of this and do you maybe have a fix? Is this issue solved in the newer version of ICS XLP2? All i saw is that all of them have the same kernel so i did not upgrade.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I've never used 2.3 so cannot say if it's a 4.0 problem but it certainly looks like so..
I'm running resurrection remix 10 and use it on a Toyota TNS510 system..
Just a notice that this seems fixed for me now.
I've upgraded to the 4.0.4 Rom found here: Click!
Next to this i'm using the app "doubleTwist"
ICS talks a different language then gingerbread when it comes to A2DP, especially for the play/pause commands, which seem important to me..
Has anyone made reference to what the cause of the bug is in their code logs???
I did not find any solution for this problem. Some apps like poweramp have a solution internally which reduces my problems a bit. But when i use tune in for instance i still get hickups. Im using F1GalaxyNexus AOSP rom at the moment.
Hello,
I am having a problem where Touchwiz crashes after about half an hour to an hour of listening to Bluetooth audio through my car stereo.
The problem does not occur with the stock music player (or hasn't yet in the timeframes I've been testing it). However it occurs with pretty much any other player I've tried (thus far PlayerPro, Poweramp, and Audible). The symptoms are pretty much always the same. Audio works perfectly for quite a while, then it stops, phone kind of freezes for a couple of seconds, then Touchwiz resets. Often after it restarts I have trouble either connecting to or playing audio through Bluetooth. Sometimes that fixes itself, sometimes I have to do a full reboot.
I have had the device replaced in case it was a Bluetooth hardware issue but I'm having the same issue on the new handset. So far the issue is 100% reproducible.
It's an unrooted, stock phone running IMM76D.I9300XXALF2. I'm on Three UK. At this stage I am not planning to root the device. However if there was a clear reason why doing so might fix this issue then I might.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
If someone has time to have a look, I have managed to record an ADB log from the crash. I believe the crash happens at 20:29:36 - based on there being a lot of information about a Fatal Signal 11 at that point (although I did think that was just related to specific apps crashing), and then all the services die very soon after.
At some point, I will try with another Bluetooth stereo to see if it's specific to my current one. But I don't have any available, so was hoping someone might be able to help narrow things down in the meantime.
I've also gone to Samsung with the issue, and sent them the log, but who knows if they'll ever get back with anything useful.
Touchwiz crash with Bluetooth
Hi.
I have the same problem with an S2 LTE (not S3) from Rogers in Canada and a JVC radio except mine crashes after 30 minutes. It worked fine before upgrading from 2.3 to 4.0.4.
Model SGH-I727R
Version 4.0.4
Baseband version: I727RUXLF3
Kernel 3.0.8-perf-I727RUXLF3-CL611724 [email protected] #1. Compiled Sat Jun 9, 21:24:26 KST 2012
Build number: IMM76D.RUXLF3
When playing a podcast (BeyondPod) or audiobook (Audible) for 30 minutes, the phone freezes and a few seconds later the screen locks and all the status icons disappear. They all come back as if the phone just booted but it's not the long boot you would get if you powered off and on so it must be Touchwiz crashing. I also see a notice saying it's safe to remove my SDCard and then it re-mounts.
For me it is 30 minutes +/- 1 minute and it's consistent. If I shut off Bluetooth and immediately turn it back on after 25 minutes, I will have another 30 minutes without any problems.
I tried manually unmounting the SDCard while streaming over Bluetooth and it gracefully shut down the application and unmounted the card without any issues.
Others have had this issue too. Google for 'Issue 28006: ICS Bluetooth and Sony car headset'
I contacted Samsung support but so far they haven't helped. Their first response was to take it back to the carrier.
Have you find a solution for this? If not can you submit a support request with Samsung? If they get enough reports maybe they'll do something.

That's quite interesting. Mine is also a JVC stereo so I wonder if that's related. Mine could be exactly 30 minutes - I've not actually checked that. I will next time.
Out of interest, have you used PowerAmp before? The log I attached is from using PowerAmp, but since a recent update it actually seems to be fixed in that! But it still happens in Audible and other audio apps. I'd be interested to see if it works for you as well.
Samsung haven't been particularly helpful, other than saying they will look at the ADB log and release an update (for the SIII) if "it turns out to be a real issue" (which annoyed be, because it obviously is a real issue).
The Audible developers on the other hand are very interested and I have provided them quite a bit of info on the problem. I will pass them this thread too. I should try out the shutting off Bluetooth thing as a work around. Surprised I hadn't until now.
I haven't used PowerAmp but I did try the stock Android music player and it also crashed. I played a one hour podcast and after around 35 minutes it crashed as usual. At first I thought it was going to keep working as it's usually right around 30 minutes but it did eventually crash.
Did you report the problem to the PowerAmp author or was it just luck that the new version had a fix for it?
Samsung sent me an RMA shipping label. I have no plans on sending back my device for a software bug only to get back someone else's defective/fixed unit back with the same bug.
If this really is a bug in Touchwiz on ICS then we should ask others to test it in a general forum. I don't think this happens when playing music, only when playing one stream over 30 minutes. We need to find more people with a Samsung, ICS and bluetooth receiver to test..
That's very interesting information. I will try a single audio stream on the stock player and power amp. But it does happen for me with multiple streams in other apps (PlayerPro for example), but it could be related to how it plays them - perhaps it combines them into a single stream.
In fact, thinking about it, it could well be that. I don't think the previous version of PowerAmp showed the song title over Bluetooth, so it may have just combined multiple songs into a single stream as far as the Bluetooth stack was concerned. But now it does, so that might break the stream each song.
And I had not informed them about it, it was just luck. And they haven't responded to my queries regarding what they changed (which of course, may not matter).
I have already replaced mine (through Amazon), and of course the problem didn't change at all. Meaning it's the software (and perhaps the specific Bluetooth devices), not the individual phone.
I am going to test mine with a different Bluetooth receiver at some point, and might also get other people to try their phone with my stereo. According to the person I've been in contact with at Audible, it is only affecting Verizon customers in the US (that they know of), and haven't been able to reproduce it themselves.
Hi people.
I have found thread mentioned about these problems, but unfortunately, I have no permission to post in developer's forum, so I will post the problem here.
After installing the cm-10.1-20130513-NIGHTLY-p760, i had problem while setting sound volume at 80% - 100%, or if someone calls me while playing the music. Audio on phone completely freezes and cannot talk, nor cannot listen anything. Audio on phone completely stocks. I had to reset the phone to make audio working. This problem mentioned at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190300&page=27 by VladimirCicanci and donACEsko. Solution was the mikegapinski' patch (found it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2202222).
Another problem I have: cannot answer by pressing the button on headphones. When I am listening music and someone calls me, I hear the ringing tone in headphones, and on phone standard speaker also hear it. This is the strange behavior. Pressing the button on headphones does nothing. If I answer on the screen of phone, conversation is taking place correctly: phones and microphone are working. Also, I cannot end the call by pressing the button on the headphones - it doesn't working. Headphones are original, coming with the phone and working on P700 at another phone.
Can somebody help, I will appreciate it.
Thank you
Stick with RC2, the nightlies are buggy and full of problems (not always though)
it has already been mentioned: don't rant about problems in nightly builds
reset, flash the RC2 again and wait for a stable release, it's around the corner :silly:

No. Better install today's lastest nightly build when it's out. CM10.1 RC had no changes regarding our phone. Follow CM 10.1 thread.
I will wait some time and than install fresh nightly from zero.
I know this is a bit off topic but does anyone know if there are plans for CM to come to the P768? Or is it the problem of no source code for 768 JB?

I have tried googling but it does not really give a direct answer.
I have a rooted galaxy s3 with Resurrection remix which I love, but I am experiencing some problems with audio. Initially, audio would not really play out of headphones unless I let the audio play out of speaker and then put my headphones back in again. After downloading Soundabout to help with this, it seems now that audio only plays out of my headphones when I use the Google play music widget on my homescreen and do not lock the device, if I try to enter the google play music app whilst I am listening to something, the music instantly stops coming out of my headphones but then continues if I go back to homescreen again. This is also the same it seems with Sound cloud. I have seen some suggestions, one of which is to do a factory reset but I would deeply rather not do this, is there any other method of fixing this? Audio works but it is rather temperamental and seems to only work when doing having it in a certain way. I have heard about an app called Viper4android, but I have not actually tried it yet.
A side note, but it is not priority to fix at the moment, I am also experiencing a shorter battery life then when I had my stock touchwiz rom and also my phone seems to get hotter at the bottom (like it would in an intense game) but when I am just on the homescreen using it a lot with a fair few apps open and doing a lot, is this normal on this rom? It kind of makes me fearful about using the rom too much in case I somehow damage my phone. Anyway, my main concern is the audio problem but if anyone can answer that as well that would be nice.
Apart from these problems, I am loving this rom and would really like to keep it as the performance is phenomenal compared to my stock samsung rom. Please help so that I do not have to go away from this brilliant rom because of some problems.
Simliar issues
I'm having very similar issues with CM11 on 4.4.2... Although my issue is that my headphones occasionally stop working and only work when I open Google Now... very weird. I have to reboot to get it right again. Haven't figured out how to replicate the bug yet.
Hello all,
I'm experimenting some issues with my OPX while listening to music in Bluetooth.
I have the last update and I use Play Mauic.
1) When i am at the middle of the song and I connect for example, the song starts again on the Bluetooth device whereas on my phone it still display the middle of the song. Like 2:13/3:26 for example. It isn't a big issue but maybe it's linked to the others.
2) randomly, when a song is automatically skipped to the next one, because it has ended, again my player shows that the next song is playing whereas I can't hear anything or sometimes it stutters A LOT, like I can hear one second for each 10 seconds. To fix if I just have to click on "previous" so the song start again and it works flawlessly. This issue happens very often.
Is it a known issue? Is there a fix? I've never seen this kind of issue with other devices ao I'm sure it's because of the OPX.
Thank you.
I got the same issue. It is very annoying. You can also make the title play again by moving the progress slider a little bit back or forward. It happens also with other music players.
Someone answered on my G+ post it happens with headphone jack too. I haven't tried it tho.
I got this problem with my Sennheiser MM100 as well as on my Bose Soundlink 2.
I have also a mini sound link 2.
Buy with my cans it doesn't happen (through jack)
If it's a common problem, let's hope we'll get a fix soon.
I find it crazy that even now there is no fix. It's getting really annoying and 1+ is doing nothing, as well as for the shutters in video playback (on YouTube or Facebook). I'm definitely disappointed and thinking about selling my phone. Did anyone find a fix?
I'm using BlackPlayer, no issues with blueooth playback stutter. Issue 1) is no problem for me, I want to hear the song from start.
No random skips or stutter.

I'm sorry but I don't care the way I should use my phone, I use it as I wish and as I've always done, it's not to OnePlus to dictate me how to use my phone. It's good if you don't care but I do. I don't want to change my habits. However you didn't my problem, it's not about random skips, it just that sometimes there's no more sounds which are casted, so it's a real issue, it's not about the starting over.
Listening to music through bluetooth is just a pain, and the phone is out for months, OnePlus did nothing. That's sad.
I'm on OOS 2.1.3-x and I use Double twist player with no problem over bluetooth. So maybe the problem is Play music

I've never had your 'no more sounds which are casted' issue experince through bluetooth. Are you full stock?
Bluetooth issues
OnePlus 2 is a pretty decent phone, offering good build quality and performance for a reasonable price.
Turn the Bluetooth off and then turn it on back again.
Clear the Bluetooth cache by going to its Settings.
Restart the phone once you have cleared the cache.
Try deleting the old and unused connections and then set up the connection all over again.
Someone tryed Bluetooth playback with the newest 2.2.1 update yet?
Last week Thursday I went back from cm13 to OOS since 2.2.0x "fixed Bluetooth". Well guess what. It didn't. Still the same problem that the next song in line gets mutet after a while of playing music through Bluetooth on my MM100 or Bose Soundlink 2.
Some things I realise:
-Poweramp don't have this issues on OOS since it handles music in an other way. So this might be a workaround for people.
-Play Music or Shuttle+ don't work nice with OOS (I needed to switch songs 27 times in order to make it play again in 6h of playing. That's ridiculous)
-back on CM13 based ROM(and CM13 self) I don't have this kind of problems. Play Music works as it should (guess Shuttle too).
Would be nice to hear if the 250mb big update fixed this bug so I can go back to Stock since I kind of like it.

Hi,
Listening music on my USB/Bluetooth speaker is working like a charm but listening music on my Bluetooth car is impossible (like importing contact and calling)
