I am trying to compile cLk 1.5 with custom partition sizes. I have posted details on Stack Overflow, but am yet to receive any help. Here is the link: stackoverflow.com/questions/23856705/ . I am still editing the question on Stack Overflow, so I would ask you to read it for details. Thanks.

I think you have posted in the wrong section. Even though this is development section, this is not the place that talk things like your problems. Next time try posting in your phone's forum, good luck

Sorry if I shouldn't start a new thread regarding this question, I couldn't find the answer in the existing threads.
May I post an official Rom downloaded from this forum to other forums, with reference of course. Am I allowed to do that?
thanks a lot for any answers!

As far as I know there are no rules, written or unwritten, regarding this. I personally have no issue with it as long as the proper credit is given. However, I would advise asking the rom chef for his blessing. But once again, proper credit should definitely be given.
Cheers,
Tater

I don't see why not, but why not put it in the wiki? wiki link. Thanks for the input.
if its an official ROM then post away.
I am unable to download the ROMs from the links provided on the 1st page.
Thanks
Why do you open a new thread for this?
Please ask the chef in his own thread for this ROM, if he´s got some time, he´ll answer, or maybe another user will offer you a mirror!

That thread would not let me post. It says I have less than 10 posts and I am not allowed to post in developers threads.
Thanks
I just tried all 3 links there, all of them active and working.

When you click on the links it opens a new window and a pop up comes with a yellow bar at top about security. When you click on the yellow bar at the top and try to download the file nothing happens.
It´s an ftp link, maybe your browser handles this in some way mine doesn´t.

Hi all,
I have been searching for months on this forum and google for an answer but am getting no where.
I am trying to test ROMs (developing and existing ones available) before flashing to my phone.
I have the SDK emulator installed, but i cannot seem to get a custom rom running.
I have both Windows and Linux platforms. Linux has the mkfs.yaffs2/unyaffs to create the .img files, but none load.
I download the stock PDA from Sams, and extracted the system.img file, added to the ./android/AVD_FOLDER, and this just hangs on the ANDROID screen.
Can someone please assist? Surely there must be away of testing custom ROMs and Kernels prior to flashing? Or do the uber devs just develop direct on the phone and continually flash the phone?
Wrong section, also I think most Rom cooks here continually re flash.

I appreciate this may be the wrong section, all though would be part of test/development for newbies like myself.
There surely must be away?

You aren't reading correctly, I am saying that read how to categorize your thread into sections.
It is written that if you did not get any answer in that thread, then post in Q&A section
What I am trying to make you realize is that this thread doesn't belong to Development Section.
Nothing more than that
Can any dev assist? Is there away of testing custom Roms on the emulator?
Can anyone help??

Among other things this thread's title is senseless.
Change it to How to access LBF-file or similar.
Anyway:
If you're speaking of a file created with LG Backup app then you can restore its content with this app.

How to post a Question?
Use the Thread Title
Do not just write "Help" but keep it brief ie "Device is bootlooping after trying to install a custom rom"
Include Device Name Carrier, and model # in the title. e.g. Samsung Galaxy S7 (T-Mobile) [SM-G930T]
Include
What were you trying to do? (root, install a mod/rom...)
Where you following a Guide/Video? Include a link or or Guide name if you cannot post a link
What is the device doing now? Bootlooping, will not power on, stuck in bootloader/Fastboot mode...
Root status, if you know (Rooted, not rooted)
Bootloader status, if you know (Locked/Unlocked)
Why Doesn't anyone reply to my Question?
Did you ask in the correct section?
Did your Question make sense?
Did you include enough info?
Be Patient, your question may be harder to answer than you think, and it may take some time before someone who can help even sees your post.
Please read these before posting

@XDAC1234
Please refrain from opening 2 threads for the same question. You gotta remain patient until someone will show up with help.
@sd_shadow has been kind enough to provide you with the necessary steps and information.
The other thread has been deleted and this one edited. Feel free to change the title, but make sure to stick to the recommendations.
